Ethan was walking back from school to his home. He stopped in front of a pizzeria and ordered a pizza, then he sat in a chair and waited for the pizza to be ready for him to pick up and devour it using his superspeed, because his powers caused him to have a very fast metabolism, causing him to be constantly hungry.
After he took the pizza, he walked out of the pizzeria, eating a slice while walking. He looked towards an alleyway to make sure that no drug dealing or gun dealing was happening, but there was none.
But Ethan did notice someone wearing a black hood walking into an alley and going down the manhole, so he used his super speed to eat the rest of the pizza in an instant, and he walked to the manhole cover and lifted it. Surprisingly, it did not smell like a sewer… but incense…
He climbed into the sewer and put the manhole cover back to make sure that no one suspects that he is in there, so he sneakily put his feet on the ground.
The place was surprisingly clean and dry, the complete opposite of an average sewer. There were candles on the wall, so he walked through the tunnel, forward through the long brick corridor.
until he began hearing voices… that's when he decided to disguise himself as one of them, so he used his powers to create an exact copy of the hood that he saw the person wearing earlier. The closer he got, the louder the voice was; the voice sounded like it belonged to an old man.
Ethan's thoughts: "Well… it seems that I might have stumbled into a secret society… man, this feels like a movie… this voice… sounds like an old man… I heard cults only exploit you… Oh well… I'm going to keep an eye on it to see if… they… are… doing something bad… this place is huge!!"
Ethan finally arrived at the end of the hallway and saw a giant hall the hall reached all the way upwards. It was like a whole building that had no rooms or floors, just one giant floor. The place was packed with people wearing the same hood like it's a fashion trend.
In the middle was a pedestal, and on it was a man with a mask that hackers supposedly wear, and he also wore a white hood, unlike the others, who wear black; he was the leader.
???: "Children of god! Welcome to our weekly meeting. We will now pray for our god! We were supposed to sacrifice some people, but they ran away this afternoon… somehow."
The man lifted both his arms and began chanting:
"Zamat ul'kora… ven thal vek.
Marin'thalossu… rektorrek.
Vel'nashtarra… nos lumen ek.
Ashur'eldomra… suulemrek."
Soon after, Everyone in the cult began chanting the same thing, their voices merging to one loud unified voice.
Ethan stayed silent; he observed how people reacted. Some acted robotic, some over-dramatic, and some cold.
He decided to keep an invisible clone of himself inside the cult at all times, especially in the ceiling. And so he left and went back to his normal life.
