Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: A Maid’s Mistake (1)

In the quietude of the chamber, Ye Bia's heart raced like a caged sparrow, her thoughts a tempest of worry and bewilderment. The absence of her mistress, Lian Yan, weighed heavily upon her, and the discovery of a dagger accompanied by an enigmatic note sent shivers cascading down her spine. The blade, cold and unyielding, gleamed with a sinister light, hinting at a peril far more insidious than mere escape.

With a sense of urgency that bordered on desperation, Ye Bia retraced her steps to her mistress's chamber. Her eyes, wide and searching, darted frantically about the room, scrutinizing every nook and cranny for any sign of Lian Yan's whereabouts. The once familiar space now felt alien and foreboding, its shadows concealing secrets that Ye Bia was determined to unravel.

The dagger lay where she had found it, its blade a stark reminder of the danger that lurked in the shadows. A chill ran through her as she whispered to herself, her voice barely above a tremble, "Where could my mistress have been taken?" The words hung heavily in the air, a testament to the fear and uncertainty that gripped her heart.

Overwhelmed by a wave of exhaustion, Ye Bia sank into a chair, her legs trembling beneath her. The day's events had taken their toll, and she desperately needed a moment of respite to gather her thoughts and steady her nerves. It was then that she noticed the teapot, its contents still warm, offering a silent invitation to partake in a moment of solace.

With a hesitant hand, Ye Bia poured herself a cup of tea, an act that could have severe consequences if witnessed. As a maid, she was not permitted such liberties, and using her mistress's teapot was a transgression that could result in punishment. Yet, in that moment, she craved the comfort the warm liquid promised, a brief escape from the storm raging within her.

As she sipped the tea, her gaze wandered around the room once more, lingering on the open window. The world beyond seemed a stark contrast to the turmoil gripping her heart, its tranquility a cruel reminder of the chaos within. Suddenly, the silence was shattered by the intrusion of a man's voice, echoing through the space like a thunderclap.

"Are you the maid who works under Lian Yan?" the man asked, his tone measured and his expression unreadable.

Ye Bia's eyes widened in surprise at the stranger's unexpected presence, her heart pounding as she struggled to comprehend the implications of his words. "Who are you?" she demanded, her voice a mix of indignation and fear. "Why are you in my mistress's room? Guar—"

Before she could finish, the man moved swiftly, his hand covering her mouth to stifle her cry for help. "Shhh, I mean you no harm," he whispered softly, his voice a gentle murmur at odds with the urgency of his actions. "I am here on behalf of your mistress. She wants to bring you along, to ensure your safety and well-being. My boss has ordered me to come and fetch you. My name is Xu Tao."

Xu Tao waited for a response, his gaze fixed on Ye Bia, his expression one of understanding and compassion. Yet, she remained silent, her thoughts and emotions a whirlwind of confusion and doubt. As the moments passed, Xu Tao grew concerned, his eyes scanning Ye Bia, seeking the cause of her reticence. He noticed the flush coloring her cheeks, the panting breaths escaping her lips, a testament to the storm raging within her.

"Hey, are you alright?" Xu Tao asked, his voice tinged with concern and apprehension. He reached out to steady her, offering the support and reassurance she desperately needed.

Yet, as his hands made contact with her shoulders, Ye Bia seemed to recoil, her form shuddering as if struck by an unseen force. "Mmm~! S-Stay back!" she cried, her voice a blend of fear and desperation. She reached out to steady herself, clinging to the fragments of her consciousness that seemed to slip away.

Xu Tao, taken aback by her reaction, felt a sense of confusion and disbelief. As he felt his own body begin to respond to her touch, he felt a sense of desperation, a determination to resist the darkness seeking to consume them both. "W-Why are you like this?!" he exclaimed, his voice a blend of incredulity and concern.

As the moments ticked by, a realization dawned on Ye Bia, her thoughts a blur of memories and experiences. "It's the tea," she gasped, her voice a blend of realization and despair. "It's the tea. They must have meant to use the aphrodisiac on my mistress."

"Hey, do you hear that?"

"Yeah, it sounds it came from the elder miss's room."

There were guards that were approaching their way which would lead them to much danger if they did not leave or hide.

The revelation sent a wave of panic through Xu Tao, a desperate need to protect Ye Bia, to shield her from the darkness seeking to consume her. As the sounds of the approaching guards grew louder, their footsteps echoing through the corridors like a drumbeat of impending doom, Ye Bia clung to Xu Tao, her body wracked with the effects of the drug.

With a sense of urgency born of necessity, Xu Tao lifted Ye Bia into his arms, her form a delicate burden he was determined to protect. With gentleness that belied the urgency of their situation, he lowered them both to the ground, the secluded spot beneath the window a sanctuary from the storm raging above.

As the guards' heavy footsteps reverberated through the chamber, Ye Bia and Xu Tao remained concealed beneath the window, their presence obscured by the deepening shadows. Ye Bia, overwhelmed by the effects of the aphrodisiac, found herself pressing against Xu Tao, her body betraying her desperate need for release. A soft moan escaped her lips as she twitched involuntarily, her movements driven by an insatiable desire.

"Hey! What are you doing? We are going to get caught!" Xu Tao whispered urgently, his voice tinged with concern and restraint. In his mind, this was an extraordinary experience, one that tested his resolve to remain honorable and true to his principles. He was determined not to take advantage of Ye Bia's vulnerable state, his thoughts a whirlwind of conflict and desperation.

"I need this," Ye Bia pleaded, her voice a blend of desperation and longing. She pressed her honey lips against his lower part, her undergarments damp with the evidence of her arousal. The drug coursing through her veins seemed to intensify with each passing moment, its effects a relentless storm that threatened to consume her.

As one of the guards approached the window, his gaze swept across the landscape beyond, oblivious to the hidden figures beneath. The tension in the air was palpable, a stark reminder of the danger that lurked in the shadows, a threat that Ye Bia and Xu Tao were determined to overcome.

Xu Tao, his heart pounding in his chest, struggled to maintain his composure as Ye Bia's body writhed against his. He knew the risks of their situation, the consequences that awaited them if they were discovered. Yet, he could not bring himself to push her away, his desire to protect and comfort her a battle that raged within him.

Ye Bia, her thoughts a blur of sensation and need, clung to Xu Tao, her body a testament to the storm that consumed her. She was aware of the danger that surrounded them, the threat that loomed in the shadows. Yet, in that moment, her need for release was a fire that burned with unyielding ferocity, a desire that she could not ignore.

"There's no one here. Let's just go." One of the guards would say. Informing the other guards that there was nothing and no one for them to arrest.

As the echoes of the guard's footsteps dissipated into the night, Ye Bia and Xu Tao stayed concealed, their bodies locked in a tight, desperate embrace.

Ye Bia, however, seemed resolute, her mind unyielding to the peril that surrounded them. Instead of pulling away, she pressed herself even closer, allowing her lower hips to try and rub more against his shaft.

"Hey!" Xu Tao whispered urgently, his voice a harsh but hushed command. "You need to snap out of this!" His words were firm, a desperate attempt to break through the haze of desire that seemed to envelop them both.
