Seeing the man frozen in a daze, the little girl let out a playful giggle and said, "Daddy, what are you spacing out for? Was I wrong or something?"
Luis couldn't help but sit up and pull her into a tight embrace, but the little girl gave a sly smile and shifted her body, the slight discomfort in her lower region making her walk unsteadily, which actually made her feel a bit better.
She reached under the bed and pulled out a ceramic figurine. When she opened it, Luis was dumbfounded; it was actually a cartoon-themed ashtray.
Before Luis could react, she took some incense and a lighter from the nightstand, and said with a proud little smirk, "Daddy, aren't I thoughtful? I prepared everything for you."
With that, she took a cigarette and put it in Luis's mouth, and it happened to be his usual brand.
Then she picked up the lighter and lit it. Luis took a satisfying drag, leaned back against the wall, and pulled her into his arms, asking softly, "You don't mind the smell of smoke?"
