Men were all like that, especially Fatty and his circle. Lacking education and social graces, having dropped out of school early, of course they favored eating, drinking, whoring, and gambling.
Fatty was somewhat better. Whoring was only occasional; his main pastimes were cards and drinking. Compared to the others, he was practically a saint.
