Ruth finally reacted. She grabbed the test stick and examined it carefully, exclaiming excitedly, "You little minx, when did you find out? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Lily said somewhat apologetically, "Mom, my cycle has never been regular. Last month was so busy with overtime—I completely forgot about it."
"It didn't come last month either. I was thinking about taking some traditional medicine to regulate it, but I was too busy and forgot. I didn't take it seriously at the time."
"This month it was supposed to come, so I thought it couldn't be that serious. Then I went to the doctor to check my pulse and get some medicine. He told me it was a pregnancy pulse and asked why I needed regulating."
"I've tested for three days now. I'm definitely pregnant."
As she said this, Lily looked at Luis with a smile, her eyes filled with affection.
