Chapter 76 - Manipulation

Since meeting Ojhaka, and with that little gossip Avery also liking to spread rumors, she knew some rumors weren't without basis.

Many classmates sold themselves, did part-time work, or found sugar daddies, almost openly priced. This wasn't much of a shock to her because since childhood, she had seen too many things she liked. No matter how cheap, if her mother felt it was unnecessary, she wouldn't buy it.

Mother: "Are you crazy? Fifteen dollars for a cup? We have a bunch of cups at home."

Nancy: "Leah, don't be ridiculous. Mom is right. We're just browsing, why would you buy anything?"

Even her second sister, who was usually the most intimate and considerate toward her, said: "Leah, this cup is a bit expensive. Why would you spend money on a drinking cup? Wait until there's a promotion at the supermarket and get one then."
