POV: Barry
"My name is Barry Allen and I'm the fastest man alive. You might be asking yourself what this story is about or how I got here. So I'll tell you all about how I got these amazing powers, where my story leads, and how my story ends."
"I guess if we're gonna start anywhere we should start from the beginning. Before I was given these extraordinary powers, I was a normal boy."
POV: no one
It all starts the day before Barry's birthday. While Barry was walking home from school unaware of the horror he was about to experience, his mother was experiencing her own nightmare.
We see Nora Allen on the phone talking to Henry Allen while she finishes Barry's 11th birthday cake. "Henry love, I'm about to put Barry's cake in the fridge. So I'll get off here and tidy up before you and Barry get home. Love you dear bye."
Wiping her hands off on the apron she wore. Nora makes her way to the cake only to stop at the sound of the door opening. "Barry!? Henry!?." Nora asks turning around.
There stood a man in yellow with arcs of red lightning coming off him and glowing red eyes. He looked more like a demon than a man to Nora. "W-who are you!?" Nora exclaimed terrified
The man only laughed at the question before waking closer to Nora with her backing up and grabbing a knife off of the table. "D-d-don't come any closer whatever you are!!" Nora exclaimed pointing the knife at him.
'Sadistic laugh' " Oh Nora, if only you weren't Barry's mother none of this would have to happen." The man said
"How do you know my son's name!?" She exclaims shaking like a leaf.
"Oh Nora, I know everything about you, about Henry, and especially about little Barry. You see Nora this is all your son's fault. He thought he could stop me! ME! I am the living paradox, the one enemy who he can never truly escape!" The man exclaimed literally vibrating so fast lightning start to arc to the walls and floor.
Taking a deep breath the man calms himself down "You know in order to come back without the flash on my trail I had to set up a nuke right in the center of central city. Still knowing The Flash as well as I do means I have a few minutes before he catches up. Sadly for you those few minutes before your son gets here will cost you and him dearly." The man in yellow said advancing closer.
Nora seeing the advance would swing her knife toward the monster. Only for it to go through him harmlessly. Dropping the knife she pleads for him to stop. "Please stop this, you don't have to do this!" Nora exclaimed tears in her eyes.
"Oh but Nora I don't to do anything because I have too ,no, I do this because I want too. I want to hurt you so much, all so I can in turn hurt your son. Hehe." The man said with a little laugh
"I can already feel the speedforce opening, so I guess I should hurry this up. Don't worry though Nora your son will join you soon enough." He said with a devilish smile.
15 minutes later
Henry pulling into the drive way sees the door open. Concerned he jumps out and runs to the house. Inside is like a horror scene. His wife on the floor, blood pouring onto the cold wood floor. She's almost unrecognizable, there appears to be slash marks all over her with a knife in her heart.
Henry runs to her side and checks her pulse. Nothing. He breaks down holding her mangled body in his arms. This is the scene the cops see when they arrive.
Barry around 5 minutes from his house sees cop cars driving past. Seeing them Barry begins to have a bad feeling and runs to his home. There he sees his father being taking out in handcuffs. His father telling him not to go inside.
Barry wanting to find his mother ignores his father and carries on inside with out being seen. There he finds a body in a body bag and scorch marks on the walls and floor. His feeling intensifies knowing that something bad has happened. As he reaches to open the bag he's stopped by an officer.
"Kid you don't want to see her like that." A voice said from behind him. Turning around he sees Captain Darryl Frye. A longtime friend of his father's.
"Come on kid let's get you out of here." He said taking Barry by the shoulder and leading him away from his mother body. Barry taking one last look before letting himself be lead away.
The next few weeks were a blur for Barry. He was lucky captain Darryl allowed him to stay during his father's trial. Sadly no matter how many times he said his father didn't do it there was nothing he could do to change the outcome of this case. With no evidence the court ruled that Henry Allen was guilty.
Barry continued to stay with captain Darryl eventually being adopted by the man. That didn't change the fact that he would always sneak out to visit his father in prison. Nor did the amount of times he was caught.
The next few years flew by with Barry graduating highschool and going to collage to become a CSI. Eventually landing a job in CCPD's crime lab at the age of 22. For the next 3 years Barry solved case after case while never forgetting what happened to his mother and father.
During one of his many late night stays at the lab while working on a case he began to hear thunder and rain. Getting up he sees a massive storm with yellow/orange lightning inside the clouds. Seeing this he begins to close the skylight. Holding the chain wrapped around his arm and pulling it closed. While pulling it closed he looks up just in time to see a bolt of yellow/orange lightning coming straight for him.
The bolt throws him into a shelf of chemical substances rendering him unconscious. The noise of glass breaking draws the attention of a deputy that was still there. Seeing Barry on the ground the man runs to check his pulse. Feeling a pulse he quickly calls the paramedics and rushes to the hospital, but It's not till days later that he finally wakes up.
