Chapter 172 - 6-9

Chapter 6: Stretching the legs

Once the class arrived at the entrance of the fake city, both Aizawa and Midoriya are waiting for them. "Alright class, let's begin your first hero training exercise. Simple two on two combat. I'd do singles, but we would be here all day." He pulled out the holodrone from the training exam to display Kim the matches:

.

Hanta Sero and Momo Yaoyorozu vs Koji Koda and Rikido Sato; Match one.

.

Toru Hagakure and Tenya Iida vs Izuku Midoriya and Yuga Aoyama; Match two.

.

Katsuki Bakugo and Uraraka Ochako vs Mina Ashido and Eijiro Kirishima; Match three.

.

Mezo Shoji and Shouto Todoroki vs Denki Kaminari and Tsuyu Asui; Match four.

.

Hitoshi Shinso and Kyoka Jiro vs Fumikage Tokoyami and Mashirao Ojiro; Match five.

.

As the students group up with their partners and size up their opponents, Aizawa walks up to the first two teams taking part in the exercise handing out earpieces. "These are for keeping in touch with you during the exercise. I will call it if things are going to far and will let you know when the time starts and ends." Once they each have an earpiece he gestures to the gate. "You can start anywhere in the city you like but you only have 15 minutes to beat or restrain your opponents. The rest of us will be watching from the control room. I'll signal when to start, the rest of you follow me." Getting the gist of the explanation, the two teams facing off head into the city while the rest head to the observation booth.

.

.

.

The fake city is similar to the one used in the entrance exam, if slightly smaller in scale. It has been a minute since the start of the mock battle and Yaoyorozu and Sero were making there way across the rooftops in search of their targets. "It's no use, they are probably holled up in a building. Koda is probably watching us with the birds and moving away which means..." She quickly makes a pair of heat vision goggles, putting them on as she sees someone crouched in a bush in the center of the city. "Koda's in the park. Sero, you can move faster rush ahead an-" If she looked down, she would have noticed Sato bursting from beneath them having already downed some sugar. Sero was further away, having time to jump as he realized his teammate got knocked down. He shoots out some tape, pulling her to his side before the raging beast of a man could land another hit.

.

"Crap! Yaoyorozu, you alright?" He sets her down on another roof top as Momo quickly rights herself, though she does have a few scrapes on her shins from having the floor underneath her blown away. "I'm fine. Stick with the plan. Rush ahead to take care of Koda and come back to assist. We probably have less than 10 minutes, hurry!" Flinching from her bossy tone, he quickly swings away for the park.

.

Momo makes a metal staff, twirling it around a few times with practiced ease. "Come at me." Before charging, he downs another thing of sugar before taking off after her at blistering speed. She barely ducks his first attack, skillfully spinning around him to swing for his head as Sato ignores it entirely as he spins the opposite direction trying to nail her with a hook. Using her staff as a pole valt, Momo leaps over Sato's head dodging his swing as she uses her staff to wrap around his neck swinging back down with a ton of momentum to knee him directly on his vertebrae. Sato staggers momentarily before reaching over, grabbing Momo's arm before tossing her skidding across the roof before she stabilizes sliding to a halt.

.

Right as Sato was ready to charge her, he gets wrapped up in a massive cocoon of tape. Regardless of his strength, the sheer amount of it and the stuff sticking to him everywhere ended up with him just getting more tangled up before eventually he crashes, the side effects of his quirk knocking him out. Momo lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank you Sero, he had more sugar in his system than I thought." Suddenly they hear Aizawa in their ears. "Both Koji Koda and Rikido Sato are dowm. The winner is Momo Yaoyorozu and Hanta Sero."

.

.

.

The med bots took Sato to the medical bay after Aizawa collected his earpiece while the remaining contestants went to the observation booth. Outside of quirk exhaustion Sato is completely fine. "Good job you two. Good job reacting in time to save your teammate Sero. That is vital in our field of work as slow reactions kill. Yaoyorozu, good job finding Kota and quickly coming up with a plan once attacked." He took each of their earbuds as he quickly gets the next group prepared. As Izuku gets his earpiece situated he can't help but chuckle to himself. 'Sensei really doesn't like wasting time does he? They just got back and the next match is already being sent to prepared.' As both teams leave the observation deck the remaining heroes sit in silence for a second. "So, who thinks Iida or Hagakure have a chance?" Kaminari spoke the question that didn't need to be asked. "Are you kidding sparky? There is nothing they can do against him." Bakugo wanted to strangle the dumb blond but a thought clicked into his head. "Actually...their might be one..."

.

.

.

Izuku was doing some light stretching, whistling to himself. He told Aoyama to go after Hagakure. 'That weirdo should be able to distract Toru while I play with speedy for a bit. Wonder how Aizawa will feel?' Suddenly his eyes catch a faint spark of quirk energy as a blue blur launches towards him as fast as possible. Iida goes to deliver a crushing kick only to be met with air. "W-What?" Giving him a playful shove from behind, he knocks the boy over as he cackles inside while keeping a cool calm smile on his face. "Come on speedy, at least try to keep up." Quickly righting himself he glares at Izuku as his quirk fires to life as the engines in his calfs roar. "Shut it, you creatin! I will not let you trounce on the sanctity that is heroism with your clown act! Recipro Burst!" He launches forward in a flash, delivering a brutal kick to Midoriyas mid section. The moment carries him further as he skids to a stop, using a building as support as he pants lightly. 'Damn, I didn't want to use that but it's clearly the only way I can hit him.'

.

"Wow! That was a nice shot!" Iida's eyes widen as he flips his head around to see Midoriya standing there without a single strand of hair displaced. "How?! I hit you! I know I did!" This angry reaction ilicits a snicker from the cheeky greenete as he waves him over. "Come on, wanna know? I don't bite. Unless you want me too~" Narrowing his eyes in suspicion, Iida approaches carefully. Izuku reaches his hand out as Iida hesitates before slowly reaching out before his hands just stop about an inch away from him. "...what?"

.

"This is Infinity. One of a few applications of my Limitless quirk." Iida's eyes widen as he realizes he can't move any closer or pull his hand back out. "See, I infinitely divide the space between you and me in a field about one inch away from my body. See, technically you aren't hitting anything but the infinity between you and me." As he speaks, he moves his hand closer, interlocking his fingers with the now furiously Tenya Iida. "So what are you going to do now? We can hold hands if you'd like..." Iida's leg swings around for his head as Izuku suddenly disappears again down the street. "Hey, you don't mind if I test something on you right? Cool? Cool." Izuku points his finger out in a gun like gesture as he takes a deep breath, intense focus on his face.'Compress the space...into a compact orb of pure concussive force...' He smirks as he points it towards Iida. "Quirk Amplification: Red." The small orb fires off towards Iida, before fizzling out a foot away from him. Before Iida could compute Midoriya's attack failed, he was nailed in the jaw by Izuku having just warped next to him.

.

"Damn, guess I have to work on that." He flicks his gaze around, now that he finished his opponent. 'Aizawa hasn't called it yet. That means Toru is still here and Aoyama failed. Oh well.' He scans the area for the invisible girl. 'She won't just come out, she isn't stupid. Lets try this then!' He summons an orb of blue as he swings it around destroying the buildings immediately surrounding him while smirking cockily. "There, now I have some space to work with. Let's see..." As his eyes scan the now empty space he catches a fleck of green hair passing between buildings just outside the destruction last second as he bolts for the spot he saw her. 'Too bad I can see her, she never stood a-' His thoughts are abruptly cut off as he rounds the corner coming face to face with Toru Hagakure, her UA training uniform nowhere to be seen.

.

.

.

The entire class looked on in confusion as Midoriya suddenly gets a nose bleed and passes out as Bakugo cackles like a witch. "HAHAHA! Oh, I can't wait for him to explain that!" See, Hagakure stripped away her uniform before the match began to use her quirk to hide. Izuku had been prepared to fight her quickly, not even considering the fact she doesn't know he can see her. For all his talents, Midoriya is hopeless with women and the sudden image of his naked classmate caused him to pass out from the shock."...Midoriya and Aoyama are unable to battle, Toru Hagakure and Tenya Iida win." Aizawa rubs the bridge of his nose and sighs at the display Midoriya and Iida are pulled away to the medical bay while Toru and Aoyama make their way back to the observation booth.

."I would say good job, but Midoriya incapacitated himself. Iida, you let your emotions get the best of you and wasted your trump card before knowing anything about his quirk. Aoyama, quiet frankly it's embarrassing how easy you got taken down. Sure, she caught you off guard but you have to put up more of a fight." The students bow to their sensei rejoining the group. The next four step up, grabbing the eairpieces and heading to the city, Bakugo eager for combat.

.

.

.

Uraraka and Bakugo sat in an alleyway, simply waiting for their opposition to find them. "Alright Pink Cheeks, heres the plan. Shark face and ET have good quirks but no training. You said your quirk makes things you touch including yourself weightless correct?" Uraraka simply nods as she nervously glances around. "Yeah...but are you sure we should wait here?" Katsuki simply smirks as he keeps his eyes locked on the north alley entrance. "It's perfect for what I have planned. Can you release the effects of your quirk right before impact?" She looks at him confused before nodding slowly. "Good, just activate your quirk on yourself the second I say now."

.

Her confusion grew but she didn't have time to figure it out as Kirishima rounds the corner sprinting at them. Ashido is close behind but stays at the entrance to act as support. Bakugo grabs Uraraka by the shirt. "NOW!" She barely had time to activate before she was sent hurtling straight at Ashido at speeds that make her vision blur. Quickly deactivating her quirk, she barely does so in time to slam into Ashido with the full force of her weight. The impact sends both of them flying, Ashido unconscious from the force as Uraraka is heavily shaken. Kirishima didn't have the time to turn to help his ally as Bakugo descended on him like a demon from hell, running circles around him while blasting at different angles wearing down his quirk quickly. 'Damn, my stamina is almost shot, I need to attack now!' Just as he was about to lunge forward, a hand brushes against his back as the next blast from Bakugo sends him flying into a wall hard despite him using his quirk. He too quickly falls unconscious, his quirk not saving him from the whiplash as it was already weakening. "Ashido and Kirishima are unable to battle, Bakugo and Uraraka win."

.

.

.

Midoriya got back just in time to see the results. After waking up from passing out, he pulled the gauze from his nose and teleported straight back to the observation room. "Oh, Kachan won." His arrival was mostly ignored, if only because of the exciting match they just finished watching. Once their attention turned back to him, questions from his earlier match start bubbling in their minds. "Hey Midoriya, why did you pass out earlier?" Kaminari was the one to ask the question, as Midoriya simply shrugs in an attempt to just brush it off. "Eh, that happens sometimes. Never randomly passed our befor? Huh." While trying to make it seem like a normal occurrence would not normally work, many of the students didn't know Midoriya and would have likely fallen for it if not for a specific blond. "Hell no Deku, you aren't lying your way out of this. It's his eyes." At the announcement, everyone turned to Bakugo as he makes it back with Uraraka.

.

"His first is Limitless which lets him the bastard manipulate space. His eyes are what makes it possible for him to see what he's doing." Midoriya sighs, realizing Bakugo was forcing him to explain his quirk as he takes over to prevent Bakugo from poorly explaining it. "More accurately, it allows me to manipulate my quirk energy to control space to shape into different techniques." He reaches up, taking off his sunglasses revealing his piercing emerald eyes that seemed to suck everything in. "In order to do this, I developed a second quirk, the Six Eyes. They allow me to see the world in much higher clarity while slowing my perception of time to a crawl. With enough focus I could count the molocules in a single drop of water. They allow me to see quirk emergy too, which lets me see my techniques." Nodding along to the explanation, most of the class is still confused how this is connected to his fainting. Meanwhile, Toru started putting two and two together before blushing vividly in embarrassment. Of course, only Midoriya noticed as he looks down, surprisingly reserved.

.

"This also has the side effect of letting me see other people's quirk energy, and thus making me see quirks very differently then the rest of you as my eyes see through it all. Thus..." He gestures to the embarrassed Hagakure. "...I can see her. She isn't invisible for me, her quirk is redirecting the light through her body so she just looks like she's constantly glowing." The more intelligent of the class figured it out before he finished his explanation, but the more slow members of 1-A gaped in shock as they finally put the pieces together. Aizawa suddenly claps gathering their attention. "As much as I loved this half time entertainment, we really need to get the next match going." He hands the earpieces off to Shoji, Todoroki, Kaminari and Asui. "Hurry along. I don't want any more time wasted."

.

.

.

Shoji tried to approach Todoroki to plan, only to receive a harsh glare that makes him flinch back. "Stay out of my way." Stepping back he uses his quirk to make enhanced ears to listen for the targets. "Both of them are straight north." Ignoring him, Todoroki plants his right foot forward as a massive glacier rises from the ground freezing half the training ground solid. There's a pause before Aizawa announces the victor. "...Kaminari and Asui are unable to battle. Todoroki and Shoji win." Shoji can only stare in shock. 'Wow...thankfully he was on my side. What can you even do against that?' He noticed the slight shaking of Todoroki's right leg, before steam emits lightly from his body as he stops shaking, a scowl of annoyance on his face.

.

.

.

Aizawa narrowed his eyes at the performance of the number two heroes son. 'That was incredibly excessive force. Just like his father.' He sighs as he rubs the bridge of his knows. 'Great. I have an emotionally stunted emo kid, an explosive and bloodthirsty blond, and the most egotistical and childish person I have ever met. And they all have S-rank quirks.' He sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose as the med bots carry away Asui and Kaminari. 'I don't get paid enough for this.'

.

As Todoroki's team makes it back, Aizawa takes their earpieces. "First and formost, good job Shoji at locating the enemy and trying to work with your teamate. Todoroki, try not to use city sized icebergs during a spar, and don't shrug off your partner." Todoroki simply nods as he walks away from the rest of the group. The next four step up and start making their way to the now ruined fake city.

.

.

.

'Damn, this place looks like a warzone. Guess that's what S-rank quirks can do...' Shinso moves swiftly through the city, trying to be as quiet as possible. Their plan was simple, Jiro would go to the center and draw their attention while he snuck up from behind to take them out. The first part of the plan went great, quickly trapping the two and putting him out of commission with his quirk. Tokoyami noticed their plan however, and disappeared into a building before Shinso could cut him off. "Shit, he got away. We need to be careful about his quirk, I am not sure what it is but it's sentient." He drops down next to Jiro as they both look at the small building simulating a storage room..

.

Jiro pokes at the wall a bit before grabbing Shinso's wrist and dragging him to the side of the building. "Well, we can't just charge in through the front door. They are probably expecting that. Ill bust a hole in the wall." She jams her jacks into the wall, a focused expression before suddenly a roughly human sized hole was blown in the wall. Filtering in, they see all the light fixtures destroyed with Tokoyami standing in the center. Surrounding him like a cloak is a bird like shadow that seems to be rapidly growing in size and multiple shelves scattered and destroyed. "Welcome to my sanctuary of darkness. Go dark shadow!" With an animalistic roar, the now much more feral quirked being charges at them, smacking a surprised Jiro to the side. Shinso barely had time to put his arm up to block as he too was sent skidding across the ground.

.

Hitoshi scowls in annoyance. Just as he was about to say something, Dark shadow ludges at him forcing him to dodge out of the way. 'He is too fast, I don't have time to counter. Why the hell is this thing so strong now?' It then clicks in his mind as he dodges another attack. Jiro tried to attack Tokoyami directly, but Dark shadow snapped back to hid aide to protect him sending the girl flying again as it switches main targets chasing after Jiro. Seizing the chance he shouts out at his bird headed classmate. "Hey, bird-" before he could finish his taunt to try and ensnare his opponent with his quirk, Dark shadow threw Jiro at him with enough force to knock them both out. "Dark shadow, return!" Slowly, with some resistance, Dark shadow returned to its user, shrinking down and absorbing into him as he drags both his opponent's out the building and makes his way to the observation booth.

.

.

.

After the last excercise, Aizawa gathered all the students around with the expectation of the ones in the med bay. Midoriya was the only one that was sent there and allowed to leave as he didn't have any condition to treat like the others. Recovery Girl, the school nurse that has a powerful healing quirk, only can heal physical injuries and refuses to heal minor injuries that will heal on their own unless it will interfere with training. Considering most of them just need rest, she kept them there and forced tbem to sleep.

.

"Overall good job, but you all could be better. I will have a breakdown of each fight prepared for you next week." He takes back all the earpieces, putting them away. "For those of you who embarrassed yourself or preformed poorly, use this as motivation to work hard. You won't get anywhere with talent alone." He looked at a particular greenete as he said this. "Get dressed and head home children, class is dismissed."

Chapter 7: Home

The city below was bathed in an orange glow as the sun set behind the skyline of Jaku city. Looking down from the tallest skyscraper was a woman in her late 30's to early 40's with blonde hair and turquoise eyes. She was looking out the window behind her desk, a neutral expression on her face. A man enters her large office space holding a file. The label read the name: Izuku Midoriya. "Madam president, I have the file you asked for." With that announcement, he approaches her desk and sets the file on her desk. The woman by the window sits down in her chair before turning around and pulling into her desk. She picks up the file, opening it again as she sighs out loud. "Thank you Mr. Mera." She slowly starts filtering through the file, from quirk accidents when Midoriya was a child to his grades in school. Once she gets to the back of the file, where is most recent addition lay, his admission to UA.

.

She was not happy. She was hoping for the young boy to go to Shiketsu, Seiai, even Ketsubutsu would have been better. 'Now I won't be able to properly monitor him. Especially since that rat is watching over him.' She stroked her chin in thought as the man called Mera waits to be instructed further. "This is such a pain...there is no way Nezu will give us access to UA files to keep tabs on him anymore." It would forever haunt her if Nezu managed to get his paws on the boy. That power needed to be under their control, otherwise he would be a massive thorn in their side. 'Too bad that mother if his wasn't willing to sell him to us like Hawks. Still, I have to try and influence him somehow...' She pulls out a blank sheet of paper, quickly writing out a letter before sealing it in an envelope and handing it to Mera. "Mr. Mera, please deliver this to the 'LOV Bar' please." Bowing his head, the man takes the letter and leaves quickly. She turns back around to the city, her brow furrowed. 'UA is becoming more and more independent from the rest of hero society. I need to get him away from Nezu, by any means possible.'

.

.

.

The students are all walking away from the fake city, heading towards the locker room after finishing their exam. At the moment, Izuku Midoriya had his arms up in self defense, dodging as an upset Toru Hagakure as she chases him around while Bakugo, Uraraka, and Shinso walk together in relative peace next to them. "I said I was sorry ok?! I didn't think you'd go stripper on me!" Not accepting his words, Toru continues to chase him, from his perspective, blushing madly through gritted teeth. "You still could have warned me! It's the only way I know how to use my quirk!"

.

While they continue to run circles around the group, Shinso sighs tiredly. "I really don't get the big deal here. It's not like he was trying to spy on her." This earns him a thwack on the back of the head from Uraraka. "It's not about that, he saw her naked without her consent! Even if accidental she has a right to feel violated." Shinso simply grumbles to himself as be rubs the back of his head. "Troublesome woman..." Bakugo is about as close to as possible to looking wholesomely happy watching his friend get chased. "It's hilarious is what it is."

.

Toru finally stopped chasing Midoriya as the two walk with them on opposite sides of the group. "Haha, very funny Kachan." The blond simply rolls his eyes, not particularly caring about what Izuku thinks. Approaching the group was another trio; Ashido, Kirishima, and Kaminari. Ashido was the first to speak, yelling straight at Midoriya. "You better have apologized to Toru, perv!" Kirishima gives Midoriya an apologetic smile as he pats his friend on the back. "Mina, I highly doubt he did it on purpose. He passed out from shock remember?" He then turns to Bakugo as he smashes his fists together. "Your fight was manly as hell Bakubro!" Bakugo growled at the nickname, glaring at the red haired boy like it would set said hair on fire. "Call me that again and I'll kill you shitty hair." Kirishima laughs it off while Kaminari moves to walk by Midoriya. "Hey, that fight was badass as hell! You just swung your arm around and everything got sucked up!" He sparks his own quirk over his hands wirh some minor disappointment. "Sucks I didn't get a chance to show off though...man Todoroki is moody."

.

Izuku laughs at the last comment, leaning on Bakugo for support purely to annoy him. "Yeah he is, though it makes me curious why." Mina points her finger at Midoriya as the discussion shifts to quirks. "You mister need to explain your whole quirk! You trying to be mister mystery traumatized poor Toru-" "I'm the one who's traumatized! You think I wanted to be flashbanged like that?" Bakugo successfully elbows Midoriya in the ribs this time eliciting a grunt of pain. "Thank you Bakugo, as I was saying, you traumatized Toru with your quirk! Now explain everything, we aren't being caught off guard like that again!" Izuku sighs dramatically. He really doesn't want to explain his full quirk to everyone, but it seems its his only way out of this.

.

"Ok, we will go one at a time. First, my eyes." He pulls down his glasses as everyone in the class pause their conversations to listen. "My first power is called the Six Eyes. It's kinda similar to a top of the line infered camera, with the ability to see quirk energy and perceive the world in impeccable quality. When someone used their quirk, like Hagakure, I see through it and can understand exactly how it works. Her quirk redirects light so to me she just looks like she is constantly radiating quirk energy. I also can see and differentiate figures over a mile away." He waves his glasses that everyone realizes are pitch black. "Because they are a mutation I can't really turn it off. So, I wear these glasses to limit the amount of information flooding my brain when I don't need to go full power. Extended use still drains me cause of how much information it absorbs." He puts his glasses back on while continuing his explanation. "In order to not go braindead, my brain is significantly more developed and complex than an average person's, similar to those with a high end intelligence quirk. This allows me to slow down my perception of time, allowing me to break down all the information my eyes absorb."

.

"My second and main power, Limitless, actually requires my eyes too use which is why I have them. It allows me to manipulate space using my quirk energy. Without my Six Eyes, I literally wouldn't be able to see what I am doing as most of my attacks are completely invisible to the normal eye." He points his hand at the ground and activate a weakBlue orb pointing as dirt and rocks along the path start to gather together. Everyone else just saw the debris clump up in front of his hand. "This is Blue, an amplified application of Limitless. I create an imaginary mass of negative space by supercharging my quirk with negative quirk energy, drawing everything in like a magnet. I can control exactly how strong the pull is, from crushing steel to just clumping trash together." Midoriya lets the debris gather up in a ball before the negative space swallows it up. "The base or neutral application of Limitless is what I callInfinity. It's a barrier technique where I creat a field around me where the space is infinitely divide between me and whatever is in my field, making anything that enters this zone rapidly decelerate to the point it can never approach me. Think of the Achilles and the Tortoise paradox. Lastly, I can teleport by turning the space between me and another point zero instantly warping me there through an application of Blue."

.

As he finally stops his very long explanation, half the class were starting to grasp just how powerful his quirk is. "What about the attack that failed against Iida?" Midoriya grumbles as Shinso speaks up, causing Bakugo to smirk. "It's an experimental technique, Red. Its the inversion of my technique Blue. The idea is to infinitely multiply space and condense it down into a tiny orb of pure concussive force, essentially making an imaginary mass of infinite space supercharged by positive quirk energy. I know I can do it but it's like I have to fight my quirk to pull it off..." He silently promises to look into it later while sighing to himself.

.

"Well I am impressed Midoriya. You must have to solve a ton of complex equations at rapid speeds to use it in combat like you do." Yaoyorozu personally felt her respect for her classmate grow, having had to study vigorously for her own quirk to work. Kaminari looked at Midoriya with pity. "Damn, you have to do math to use your quirk? I feel super bad for you."

.

The students finally reach the locker room as the boys and girls split up to change before they all head their separate ways. Bakugo and Midoriya make there way towards the train station. The train ride goes by fast, the crowds trying to get home almost making Bakugo blow a fuse before they reach their stop.

.

.

.

"So, let me get this straight. You threw Uraraka at Ashido like a dodge ball."

.

"Well yeah, her quirk makes her perfect to be used as live ammunition." Bakugo and Midoriya were bickering about the battle trials, especially since Katsuki won and Izuku lost. "At least my team won. You lost cause you passed out." Midoriya glares at his blond friend, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "You better not say shit to our parents Kachan."

.

"Or what?"

.

"Or I tell aunty Mitsuki about what happened at my 7th birthday party." Bakugo pales before glaring at the greenete with venom. "You wouldn't dare, you're just as fucked if that gets out." Midoriya simply smirks back at him. "Am I? Really?" The blond grumbles before storming off further down the street as Midoriya takes a left. "SEE YOU TOMORROW KACHAN!" "FUCK YOU DEKU!"

.

.

.

Bakugo slams the door open to his house, kicking off his shoes as he roughly undoes his tie. "I'm home hag!" He hears footsteps storm up behind him as a had smacks him on the back of the head. "Watch your mouth brat! Hurry and get changed, you're helping with dinner tonight." The blond grumbles to himself as he heads upstairs to his room. He has a rather spartan bedroom, only having a bed and desk with a computer mounted on it, scarely any decorations aside from a picture of him and Izuku when they were kids on his headboard.

.

He quickly discarded his uniform, throwing on a pair of sweat pants and a tank top instead before heading downstairs where his mother was already in the kitchen working on chopping. "Get to work on the vegetables Katsuki." He walks into the kitchen, grabbing a knife from the knife block twirling it in his hand. "You don't have to tell me what to do, I know what I'm doing." He grabs an onion on the counter and quickly dices it with practiced efficiency. "How was your second day of school son?" Masaru Bakugo was sitting at the table, reading a paper as he watched his family cook. "Eh, it was school. Battle trials were cool I guess." There was only one person in the world Bakugo would never back talk or disrespect. That was his father.

.

"That's good. Make sure you try to make friends. It's good you have Izuku, but both of you need to work on your people skills." Bakugo snorts at that, remembering how everyone seems to be flocking to their power. "We will be fine dad."

.

.

.

As Izuku makes his way into his mother's modest apartment, he kicks his red shoes off. The first thing he hears is his mother humming some old tune he's never bothered to ask the name of. "I'm home mom!" He tosses his bag aside on the couch, heading towards his mothers humming entering the kitchen. If there was one word to discibe Inko Midoriya, it would be saint. Midoriya wants to become a hero because of All Might, but his mother is the reason he lives. "Welcome home sweety! Sit down and tell me about your day, I'm almost done with the katsudon."

.

He pulled out a chair, sitting down as he inhales the aroma of his mother's heavenly cooking. "It was ok, little weirded out how normal everything is." Inko lets out a laugh as she turns and ruffles his head. "That's good. Have you made any new friends?" He frowns as she messes up his already messy hairdo as he lightly brushes her hand away. "I mean, some are interesting. Most of them are pretty weak though." Inko gives him a disappointed look. "Izuku, don't talk about your classmates like that. You're in UA now, they might not be on your level but they aren't weak. You need to get along with them." Izuku sighs but otherwise doesn't say anything. "Not all of them are weak. But they are very inexperienced. Like they didn't practice their quirks at all."

.

Inko smiles at her boy before turning to the stove again. "Well, then you must help them. You are gifted Izuku, more so than any person before and possibly any person after. You have to use that gift to help people." Izuku waves her off, having heard her say this a million times before. "Yeah yeah, with great power comes great responsibility and all that. I already said I'm gonna be greater than All Might didn't I?" He flexes his arms in a pose similar to the poster if All Might in his room. "It's not about greatness Izuku. Just save as many people as possible." Inko smiles sincerely towards her son as he returns it back. "Of course, mom."

.

A man with pale Blue hair and dry cracked skin sat at an old fashioned bar, reading a letter while scratching at his neck. "Who the hell is paying this much just to kill some brats?! This makes no sense..." He is incredibly agitated, because he knows he can't turn the offer down because it's simply too much money. "This has to be some kind of trap."

"Relax Shiggy, this could be fun!" A young girl with blonde hair tied in twin buns and vampire esque fangs is sitting next to him, sucking on a blood red beverage in a martini glass. On the other side of the bar, in the middle of pouring himself a glass of whisky was a heavily scarred man with grafted skin covering most his body. "Eh, There still just a bunch of wannabes. I say we just isolate a few of them after school in an alley on their way home and call it a day."

.

Shiggy scratches at his neck, careful not to let all 5 fingers touch himself. "God I hate stealth missions...Toga, you can handle this can't you?" The blonde girl giggled way to innocently for someone being asked to kill kids. "Sure thing Shiggy! Sucks they only want two of them though..."

Chapter 8: Blood

The first week of school went by pretty fast for Izuku. He had no problems with the base course work and after the first day dominated every heroics class with ease. He was almost disappointed, he chose UA specifically because he thought it would push him more. However, each class was the same as the first for the most part: sparing against his classmates. While they have improved a lot since the first day, that was mostly because they had no control over their quirks and were using them inefficiently. And while their growth was impressive, his own personal lack of growth frustrated him. 'What am I missing?'

.

The last day of the week however, something different happened. "Midoriya, your coming with me today." After telling the rest of the class their one on one sparing partner for the day, he told Izuku to follow him without and started walking away without waiting for a reply. Taking it as their time to start, the rest break off as Izuku follows his teacher. "So teach, what exactly are you pulling me aside for? Is it for my dazzling preformance?" Aizawa doesn't say anything as he keeps walking towards the back of the school. Midoriya stays quiet as he's lead to a small clearing with a few rows of graves. Izuku's eyes widened slightly at the sight. "This is UA's graveyard. These are former students who died on missions before graduating from UA."

.

Aizawa keeps walking, stopping in front of a particular grave. "Students who prove strong and competent enough are recommended for the provisional license exam, allowing them to preform hero work early for their school. The Hero Commission requires strong students from the top schools to participate. They claim it's to grow the students resume for agencies post graduation and to fine tune their skills in the field." He knees down, reaching into his pocket pulling out a small flask pouring the contents out over the soil.

.

Izuku read the name on the grave: Oboro Shirakumo, age 17. He turned to his kneeling teacher, trying to understand the point of this. "Teach, not to be disrespectful, but why did you take me here?" His teacher stands, looking over to Midoriya as he puts the now empty flask away. "Because you're going to be taking these exams in one month. The commission has already been pestering Nezu about it nonstop." He walks deeper into the graveyard, passing through a gate to an even smaller clearing with massive stone, covered in names he didn't recognize. "Who are they?"

.

His teacher doesn't respond immediately, simply walking up and putting his hand to the stone. "This is where we recognize the heroes who died in the Civil War. Before Nezu took over, when the school was first opened, the principal built this as a reminder of what this all cost us." Izuku approaches slowly, his eyes scanning over the vast number of names on the face if the stone as he lost himself in his thoughts. 'So many names...'

.

Aizawa walks away from the stone before activating his quirk and shooting his capture scarf out around him throwing him away into the clearing. "Come at me. You're training starts now." Midoriya barely had time to react to his teacher's rush, jumping out of the way of an axe kick aimed where he was laying as he realized he couldn't use his Limitless and his eyes where struggling to read his quirk energy. 'Shit, he got the drop on me.' "What was that for? You could have warned me or something!"

.

Aizawa simply rushes him, moving faster than Midoriya could track. "Villians won't warn you. They will simply kill you." He lands a right hook that Midoriya missed the block on, nailing him in the ribs before pivoting into his guard to land an uppercut sending him rolling. "In sheer power you are pretty much unmatched, you're quirk is also incredibly versatile. But that won't stop you from dying young." Aizawa settles into his combat stance, letting out a breath as he activates his quirk. "I am going to teach you how to operate without your quirk."

.

Izuku takes off his glasses while glaring lightly at his teacher. "I can fight quirkless, I was just caught off guard! And besides, nobody can beat my quirk." The capture tape is around his head before he can blink, yanking him towards his teacher as he gets his arns up to deflect the punch to his gut as his teacher is already flowing into a spin kick slamming into his ribs. In a moment of desperation he tries to trap Aizawa's leg to his body as Aizawa simply used Izuku's hold on his leg to stabilize as his other leg is raised up and brought down for an axe kick, slamming Izuku straight into the ground. "That's quite the main character complex you have brat." The nonchalance of Aizawa made Izuku grit his teeth as he pulled himself to his feet but he bit his tongue. 'Damn...he hits hard for a hobo...'

.

"So, as I was saying, I am going to teach you martial arts. Most heroes make the mistake of over focusing on quirks, causing their mindset to become ridged and inhibit their potential. My last class was like this, which is why I expelled every single one before the year ended. It's imperative for a hero to understand how to fight quirkless for them to truly utilize their quirks to their fullest potential. Now put your hands up. Its time we fixed those horrid reactions of yours."

.

.

.

'I want to die...' Aizawa was...a sadist. That's the only way Izuku coulf justify the hellish routine. First, 4 hours have passed, all his classmates have already left and gone home an hour ago. Second, the man has yet to turn off his quirk (doesn't that hurt his eyes?) meaning he has been completely unable to use his quirk making him feel uneasy for the first time in his life. Third, and most importantly, the man was a massive dick. "Wow, congrats Midoriya. After 4 hours you finally managed to throw a half way decent punch." Izuku could only pant from his spot on the ground, his teacher crouching down next to him with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Fuck...ha...you, sensei..." Aizawa lightly bops him on the head, smirking beneath his capture scarf. "You'll thank me 10 years from now. Get up whenever you can and go home, you will need the rest." He stands back up and starts walking away, heading back towards the school.

.

.

.

Aizawa keeps walking, snaking through the empty halls of UA as he heads to the top floor. He keeps walking till he reaches a large, solid oak door. Before he knocks, he hears a small click of the lock. "Come right in Mr. Aizawa!" Nezu's jovial voice shouted back as the door swung open revealing the small rodent sitting behind a desk way to big for him. "So I hope you can see why I said he needed your personal attention yes?"

.

The tired man sighed, not having the energy to deal with the principal. "He is horrific at hand to hand, he may not realize it but his eyes are at least partially effected by my quirk. If they weren't, he should have been able to avoid all my strikes easily but his reactions were all significantly slower than usual. His strikes are alright but his defense is horrendous." While talking, Nezu went through his drawer pulling out a couple of files before separating one from the pile. He flipped it open, reading over all the information he had on Midoriya. "Well that's to be expected. I am relying on you to get him up too speed, as well as the rest of the class. They are going to need it." Aizawa's gaze narrowed, as if trying to read his mind of some trick. "What's going on Nezu? You don't usually pay this much attention to the first years." Nezu looked up from his file, smiling jovially like always but it doesn't quite reach his eyes. "I am afraid, Aizawa. The commission has been getting more and more power hungry over the years, to the point we are the only hero school not under their control. They have started digging roots into the government beyond just heroics as well...something major is brewing."

.

He sets the file of Midoriya across from Aizawa. "Do you know why I am so focused on Midoriya's, as well as the rest of the first years progress?" Aizawa simply shakes his head as he starts reading the file. First were his school records, things Aizawa already had as his teachers. Outside of excellence borderlining perfection there was nothing strange. However, when it came to other records like medical records, criminal records, even his birth father's records where practically whiped off the face of the earth. "Midoriya is the key to everything. His power, his intelligence, he is the most gifted student we will probably ever have. At least in my lifetime. Then his friend, Bakugo. Almost just as gifted and intelligent. Those are just the top, all the way through these kids have potential. Which is why I think the commission will attack them." Aizawa dropped the records as be stared slack jawed at Nezu.

.

His mind was reeling. He thought the commission was dirty but to go as far as killing kids training to be heroes? "No way, you must be wrong. That doesn't make any logical sense." Nezu simply sips his tea before setting it down, looking into the center of his cup like a crystal ball. "But it makes perfect sense. They clearly wanted Midoriya to stay a secret. I only ever heard about him because he applied for UA, meaning they wanted to hide him from me specifically. Not only that, but as you know they have sent multiple emails regarding him and his progress and demanding his entrance to the provisional exams next month." He taped his finger (paw? claw?) on the cup, his smile slipping from his face to a more neutral expression. "They want him working as soon as possible, and preferably want him out of our influence. It would have been better for them if he applied anywhere else but he chose here, ruining their longterm plans."

.

"You think the commission would attack UA directly?" Nezu shook his head, eyes raising to meet Aizawa's once more. "No. That's an active death wish. But to be safe I asked Ishiyama to start constructing dormitories. Next week, we will go through and convince the parents to let us move their children in." Aizawa nods along, his eyes narrowing at the suggestion of them living on campus. "Is the threat level really that high? They are just kids."

.

Nezu's expression became serious, taking a sip of his tea. "Indeed. I only recently learned of the commission's true goals. I hope I wasn't too late."

.

.

.

Tokoyami was walking towards the train station with Asui and Aoyama, taking a shortcut through an alley. "I hope Midoriya isn't in trouble, ribbit. Neither him nor the teacher came back at the end of class, ribbit." Aoyama struck a flamboyant pose, looking off at a wall next to her instead of directly at her. Oh, wait he's looking at me. Before he could speak however, Tokoyami cuts in. "He should be fine, Asui. He has strength that makes even the dark lords of old shudder." Asui sweat dropped at the excessive tone. "I told you to call me-"

.

Aoyama suddenly falls to the ground, a quiet thunk being the only noise made as a knife protrudes from the back of his throat, eyes wide as he gurgles out blood from his lips that are wide open in a silent screem. The blade was thrown wirh perfect accuracy, severing his spinal cord paralyzing him from the neck down while he drowned in his own blood. Tokoyami barely had time to grab Asui and yank her to the side, avoiding the blade thrown at her as it grazes the side of her neck. "Awww~ She would have looked prettier in red..." Tokoyami calls forward Dark Shadow, putting him between him and where the knives came from as a girl not much older looking than them casually strolling towards them in a beige schoolgirl uniform, knives in hand with a wide smile on her face. "That's ok, prey that fights back is more fun~" She throws her blades at Dark Shadow, getting nothing in return for it as it bats her knives to the side effortlessly. Asui uses her tongue to drag Aoyama to safety, only to be met by his glazed lifeless eyes as she freezes. Tokoyami grabbed Asui, keeping Dark Shadow behind as a sheild as they take off away from the alley. "Asui, get your phone out and call authorities. We are heading to Cherryblossom Ave, direct them there." She doesn't respond, looking over her shoulder at the limp body of her classmate still in shock before eventually reaching down and grabbing her phone. They don't get far when the girl chasing them lept over them, landing in front of them suprising Tokoyami as Dark Shadow swings back around to punch her. 'How fast is she? Does she have a speed quirk?' While the punch lands, she also manages to get Tokoyami's leg, causing him to drop Asui as her phone scatters across the ground.

.

She tries to shoot her tongue out to grab it again before a searing pain flairs through her mouth as her tongue is pinned to the ground by a knife. "Hahahaha~ So precious!" Another blade is already speeding towards her as dark shadow blocks it. At the same time, she threw a blade at Tokoyami nailing his shoulder as he just moved out of the way in time for it to miss anything too vital. "ARGH! Asui! You ok?" She can't respond right away, nodding as she pulls the knife out of the ground freeing her tongue, wincing in pain. "I'm fine, ribbit. Just...startled, ribbit." Her eyes flicker back again to the lifeless corpse of Aoyama. 'I didn't know him well but still...he was just alive and now he's...' She bites back the urge to vomit as she focuses on their opponent. Tokoyami pulls the knife out, grunting as he focuses on the enemy as well. "Who are you?"

.

The girls smile widens as she runs her tongue over her own blade, her cat like eyes narrowing on the bird headed student. "Hmmm, well you'll be dead in a few moments so why not? Names Himiko Toga, nice to meet you Mr. Birdy!" She throws two blades again, this time Asui jumped out of the way landing on the wall while Tokoyami protects himself with his quirk. 'Damn, how many of those things does she have?' He couldn't process anything for too long as the now identified Toga stays on the aggressive pushing them back. She outclassed them entirely, outmaneuvering their quirks and little by little whittling them down with shallow wounds. After dodging for 30 minutes, both of them are exhausted and on their last legs.

.

"Awww, tuckered out already? Such a shame, oh well. They said only two...but I doubt they would complain about three bodies~" With a flick of her wrists she flings 3 knives at each, both of them too tired to dodge as they close their eyes and await their death.

.

.

.

Midoriya was tired as shit, he didn't even bother changing out of his gym uniform. He grabbed his school uniform and used his quirk to float home, finally having it back after hours under the gaze of Aizawa sensei. 'He is such a hardass, thank lord I can use my powers again!' He was flying straight over buildings, skipping all traffic as he wanted to rush home and pass out. However, when passing over an alley his eyes picked up weak quirk signatures he recognized. As he looked down, he saw Tokoyami and the frog girl from his class next to a blond boy in a UA uniform bleeding from the neck with not a single drop of quirk energy in him. 'Damn, a corps. Shame.' . Across from them stood a girl with blonde hair in twin buns. He claps his hands together as he appears in front of his classmates using his Infinity to stop a barrage of knives. "Ok, what the hell is going on."

.

The girls eyes widen as he smile sharpens. "Oooooh, who's this fellow? You're really cute mister!" Izuku almost gags, not expecting to have the villian flirt with him but he quickly steels himself. 'No, she is a murderer. We need to put her where she belongs.' He looks down ar her indifferently as he starts to float. "Izuku Midoriya. Now start running." He throws forward a Blue that she manages to dodge purely on instincts as she starts backing away. Izuku's eyes widen slightly from the display of agility. "Awww, I can't make you red! Izuku was the name they said to avoid...why are the cute ones always off limits?" She sighs to herself as she starts running away, Izuku instantly taking off after her, not wanting to let her escape as she rounds a corner. As he rounds it after her, he is met with a rapidly closing purple portal with no girl in sight. "Damnit!"

.

Tokoyami and Asui could only stare in awe at what their classmate did. However, Asui quickly grabs her phone and calls the police. "Hello, this is Tsuyu Asui, ribbit. I was walking home with some classmates when we were attacked by a female villian, ribbit. She called herself Himilo Toga." She takes a deep breath as she kneels down and checks the pulse of Aoyama, met with nothing as her last hope of his survival is destroyed. "One of us died, we are both severely wounded, ribbit. Villian is gone, but please send medical assistance immediately, ribbit." Midoriya came back to them growling. "Damnit, she got away! She was working with someone else. Some warp quirk that doesn't require being nearby to use. Maybe coordinate based." He looks down at Aoyama while letting out a way to casual sigh for the situation. "Plus a casualty...what a pain."

.

Asui's eyes widen at her classmates behavior, not believing someone could brush off death as some light inconvenience. Tokoyami analyzed Midoriya carefully. "Show more respect Midoriya, someone died. Our classmate died." Izuku simply shrugs his shoulders. "So? This is the risk of being a hero. Especially when you're weak." He starts walking away, not even waiting for the police and ambulance to show up. "Don't like what I have to say, get stronger and shut me up." He floats up, heading straight back to UA glaring furiously. 'Someone is targeting UA students. She also said something about me being off limits...something is very wrong and I am finding out what right now.'

Chapter 9: Fallout

Izuku sat down across from a detective begrudgingly, having been dragged there by Aizawa after returning to UA. His classmates where at the hospital, getting their injuries taken care of. He pushes up his glasses more, sighing dramatically as his eyes picked out every detail in the room around him. Solid concrete, a small wooden table with a ring for handcuffs to be connected to for interrogating prisoners, and a one way mirror that he couldn't see through. 'So they do use old school one ways still. With quirks around I thought they would replace it.' He looks the detective in the eyes calmly while thinking back to his discussion with the principal and Aizawa before coming here.

.

.

.

Izuku barged into the office, both Nezu and Aizawa looked to him with Aizawa being suprised and Nezu being Nezu. "I just saved two of my classmates from a villian. They were with Aoyama. He's dead. She fled the scene when I said my name." His eyes glare straight ahead to Nezu while approaching, his glasses off his face and in his hand as he stares down at the rodent. "Why are their villians attacking random UA students? I am assuming you know something since you won't drop that stupid smile off your face." While he didn't show it at the scene, he was pissed off. His class was attacked and when he showed up the villians just ran like cowards.

.

Aizawa activates his quirk on Midoriya, glaring down at him as he processes his words. "So let me get this straight. You fought off a villain that killed one of your classmates, and instead of staying to make sure they were safe and the villain won't come back you sprint here to complain about it?" Izuku feels the hand slapping the back of his head snapping it down as he turns his glare to his teacher. "I demand answers sensei. They know who I am and targeted those around me." Nezu chooses this moment to pipe in. "And you will get them Midoriya. But first, you need to go to the police station and report what happened. I will be sending recovery girl to look after your surviving classmates."

.

.

.

Anyway, thats why he is here. To do this stupid report and figure out what's really going on. "Lets hurry this up. I don't have all day." His impatience is rising rapidly, already paper thin from his failure to capture the villian. The detective, a rather plain looking mid 30's man in a trench coat starts the interview. "My name is Naomasa Tsukauchi. I will be conducting your interview. Name and Quirk please?" Izuku kept his replies short, not in the mood for his usual theatrics. "Izuku Midoriya. Quirks are called Six Eyes andLimitless." The detective marks on his sheet quickly before continuing the interrogation.

.

"According to your friends, the villians name is Toga. She randomly attacked your three classmates, killing one, before fleeing after you said your name. Do you have any idea why?" Izuku shakes his head. "No. However, I do know it wasn't random. For some reason they are targeting my classmates." The detective makes another note on his sheet of paper. "They...you believe there were multiple?"

.

"There has to be. My eyes let me analyze a person's quirk factor and quirk energy. While I have to see them use it to get the full picture I can tell at a single glance what type of quirk someone has." An assistant comes in, setting water in front of both of them before quietly leaving without a word. "When she escaped they used a warp quirk. She has some kind of shapeshifting quirk she didn't use."

He makes one last note before setting his notes aside. "Thanks for the info. Now, on a different note are you ok? It's not easy seeing a friend die like that." Izuku rolls his eyes at this, finding the question pointless. "I am fine. Pissed off more than anything. They got away from me, that's never happened before." He taps his foot slowly, his mind going over the situation. He didn't note it at the time, but in retrospect the villian was flooding her body wirh negative quirk energy. 'She was way faster than she should be, and judging by the velocity on the knives she threw stronger too. Was that why? Is it possible to use the aspects of quirk energy without your quirk?' His mind was realing, trying to think if there was a similar instance. Then he remembered Aizawa. 'That bitch...that's how he hit so fucking hard. I didn't notice cause his quirk uses almost exclusively negative quirk energy to activate masking his body enhancement while weakening my eyes. Bastard.'

.

The detective looked at Midoriya with a concerned look, finding his detachment from his classmates concerning but otherwise finding nothing wrong with him. "Well, I still recommend asking UA about therapy. Hound Dog is quite capable. Thank you for your cooperation." The detective stands, bowing to the young greenete before leaving the room, Aizawa coming in at the same time to grab Midoriya. "We already called your mother letting her know the situation. You are to stay at UA until further notice. Will that be a problem?" Aizawa gave Izuku a challenging look, as if asking him to have a problem with it while Izuku simply looks at him almost bored. "Will you finally explain what's going on?" Aizawa nods as he gestures for him to follow.

.

The walk out of the police station is quiet for the most part. Izuku and Aizawa walked in awkward silence as they head towards the blacked out limo with UA's insignia on the roof. As he steps in, Aizawa sits next to him while Nezu is already sat across from him. Izuku looks straight ahead at the rat. "Now, will you finally explain what's going on?" The limo rocks forward as it starts heading back to UA, the sun almost fully set at this point. Nezu looks towards Midoriya with his usual calm smile plastered on his face.

.

"Midoriya, what do you know about the HPSC?" Izuku raises an eyebrow at the name before scowling. "Ugh, I hate those suits...they have been up my ass for years about getting the 'right training' for being a hero after buying me failed. Of course they were too weak to take me in by force." Those words make Nezu's smile widen slightly. "Well, they are who is targeting your class." Izuku's eyes narrow dangerously behind his glasses as he processes the principal's words. "They have more balls than I gave them credit for...attacking hero students over little ol me." Despite his light phrasing both teachers noticed Midoriya's clenched fists. "Wonder if I should just kill them and get this over with."

.

Aizawa feels his blood run cold. He knows how big a red flag the boys words are. Nezu seems to brush the suggestion off as if they were discussing a difference in pallet choices. "While going scorched earth might be satisfying and well deserved for what they have done, society won't agree with you. Sadly, they just are too big to simply kill." Izuku runs his temple in frustration, letting out a sigh. Aizawa glares at his boss, not wanting Izuku's psychotic mindset to be ignored. "Are you not even a little concerned that a 15 year old child is casually discussing killing our technical employers?" Nezu laughs maniacally before composing himself and sipping his tea. (Where did he get that...) "The commission holds no sway over UA. We are entirely self sustained meaning we exist outside the traditional heroic umbrella while also being considered the best hero school. We operate entirely as our own entity."

.

Aizawa raises an eyebrow at that, gritting his teeth under his scarf. "That's why we are preparing Izuku for the exam, right? Because the commission asked for it." Nezu simply smiles at him. "Oh, we are sending more than just Izuku now. The commission wants to play war? Fine. We will play war. We are kicking the first years training into high gear and sending whoever is strong enough." Izuku suddenly chimes in, raising his hand like he is in class but not waiting to be called on. "I can just tell you now, only half the class actually has a chance." Nezu quickly rebuts him, snapping his head from Aizawa to Izuku with uncanny speed for a rodent. "I would say at least 15 of your classmates could make it. They just need the right push." Izuku frowns at this, scratching his head. "Really? Only like, 10 of them are memorable. The others could possibly be heroes but they are just way to limited to keep up with real villains."

.

Nezu nods along, sipping his tea again as Aizawa rolls his eyes. 'The kid isn't entirely wrong, but different heroes have different specialties and roles. He's a solo act and only thinks about individual power. What a load of work...' Aizawa is already planning ways to beat more humility into him when Nezu opens his mouth again. "Those ten, however, have great potential. And most of the rest work better in niche roles that are important to society as a whole. Work that, quite frankly, are a waiste of your talents." Izuku keeps quiet. He knows how smart Nezu is, smarter than him. His quirk energy is ridiculously high, and all pooled in his head. It gives Izuku a minor headache just from looking at him too long without his glasses just because of the sheer amount concentrated in one space.

.

"You will probably never work well in a team. Especially once you hit your full potential. Simply put: you're a nuke. Would you use a nuke to babysit some civilians who were just rescued from a fire, or would you use it to ground zero an impossibly strong foe? Your a trump card." He pulls out a small deck of hero cards from the TCG Izuku remembered kids being obsessed with. He remembers looking into it, finding out how expensive it is just to get basic cards, and found the whole activity pointless. Nezu pulls out an All Might card. "Think about All Might. Sure, in his prime he was everywhere because he could and wanted too. That stretched him too thin for a major threat, and he learned. Now, he mostly just lies in wait for whenever a big foe shows up."

.

He then pulls out two cards, one being Mt Lady, a relatively new hero that could grow to the size of the taller buildings in the city, also increasing her mass. "Mt Lady is also incredibly powerful, but obviously too big for most missions. Then you have Recovery Girl, our school nurse." He flips the second card, revealing an older woman in a simple doctor's outfit wirh a giant syringe as a cane. "She isn't much of a fighter, but she can heal pretty much any and all wonds with a single kiss. Even complex wonds like severed limbs can be healed as long as she recovers the lost limb." Izuku's eyes widen significantly at Recovery Girl's quirk, never realizing auch powerful healing quirks existed. "As long as you have a pulse and are still vaguely human shaped she can usually fix you up good as new! So, think outside of power for a moment. What are your classmates good at?"

.

Izuku thinks for a second, looking back to the classmates he completely pushed aside because he considered their individual power weak. He scratches his chin as his perfect memory is able to recall their names. "Well...Sero is weak but is pretty skilled. He could probably handle multiple fodder villians at once freeing up bigger hitters. Asui has good water mobility and probably could help save passengers on sinking ships. Aoyama..." He suddenly remembers Aoyama being dead on the ground with a knife sticking out of his throat. Struck in the back without a chance to even try to fight back. He didn't think about it in the moment, but this wasn't even an attack. It was an assassination. He could feel his anger boiling up again as he remembered the classmates glazed over eyes. His mind starts thinking about the villian that killed him. "Aizawa, the villian that killed Aoyama was doing something weird with their quirk energy. They separated the positive aspect of quirk emergy from the negative and filled their entire body with the negative quirk energy without using her quirk factor."

.

Aizawa narrows his eyes. "It's a simple skill even those without gifted eyes can learn. Its only taught to hero students though so I don't know how she has it. That villian has been around long enough to rule out her learning that skill from a school." Rolling his eyes, Izuku tries something for the first time. He closes his eyes and focuses, looking into himself at his quirk energy, watching its raging flow as he tries to extract purely negative quirk energy. When someone uses a quirk, its like an appliance that shapes the energy for you. Depending on the amount, the ratio, and the intensity, you get different results. Manipulating pure quirk energy however...that was a different beast entirely. To an extent it was limited, with only minor improvements for most. But Izuku Midoriya had the Six Eyes. He just needed to see it once to pick it apart. As he separates his negative energy from his positive energy, flowing the negative energy through his limbs like a river. "So that's how it works." Aizawa suddenly erases his quirk while glaring at him. "You are way to powerful to be trying to conduct experiments inside a moving car. You can wait till we get to UA."

.

Izuku sighs before turning back to Nezu. "I see what you mean now. But if I were to choose, I would only send three of us to the exam next month. Me, Bakugo, and Todoroki." Nezu simps his tea while smiling earily at him, his black voids of eyes staring straight into Izuku's own sea of green analyzing him. "Do explain your thought process Midoriya." Izuku leans back in his seat looking out the window. "Me and Bakugo are the shoo-ins. One on one, only the top ten heroes really have a chance of taking us down." Aizawa smirks under his capture scarf, piping in. "I am only A-rank according to Japan." Izuku simply rolls his eyes again as his glasses sneak down the bridge of his nose. "And yet you could probably beat every S-rank in the world one on one. The grade ranks, while the less bias list for hero strength, still has issues like favoring flashy destructive quirks. Which is why I say you send just us three."

.

"Sure, the rest of the class might pass, but more likely they will fail because they lack experience to fully use their limited quirks. They should go next semester instead, where we won't completely overshadow them. Todoroki, if we can convince him to use his fire, will grow stronger at a rapid rate. His quirk work extremely well if the two powers are used in tandem, limiting the risk of frostbite or overheating. However, because he only works on his ice his power is lower than it should be and he can only practice for so long before dealing with frostbite." Nezu was carefully listening to the boy, practically glowing from the boys words. He of course already thought about this and didn't actually expect many of 1A to be ready for the exam in a month, he just wanted Aizawa to train them all harder. But he loves listening to the thought process of his students. "However, if he were to use his fire his growth with his ice power would skyrocket and his fire quirk wouldn't take long to catch up."

.

Nezu nods his head. "Excellent Midoriya! You shouldn't slack on your own analysis of others and yourself. Regardless of how good your eyes are or how perfect your memory, if you can't use the information effectively your eyes aren't very useful." Izuku nods his head, it took seeing another person do it for him to even try to separate the aspects of quirk energy. He wants to analyze more quirks and fights now to see if there is anything else he is missing from his repertoire. "I want you to make a comprehensive analysis on all of your classmates, including yourself. Possible applications, ways to work around limits, ways to bypass limits, anything and everything you can think of to make them stronger, write it down." Izuku nods his head.

.

"We are here!" Suddenly, the driver cuts off the conversation, pulling to a stop right outside the gates of UA. Everyone gets out as the driver heads off to the garage, the trio walking through the gates as Izuku pauses. "By the way...where am I going to stay tonight?" Almost as if timed by god himself, Cementoss approaches them at a brisk pace. "Principle Nezu, the dorms are now completely constructed." Clapping his paws together, Nezu smiles brightly up at Cementoss. "Excellent timing Mr. Ishiyama! Does that answer your question Midoriya?" Izuku gulps slightly, wondering if somehow the rodent planned this as he nods his head. The timing is just way to convenient for his liking. "Great. Aizawa, please take Midoriya to one of our indoor training facilities and monitor him while he is experimenting this evening. Make sure he goes to bed before midnight." With that, Nezu walks off into the school. There is a theory that Nezu sleeps in the school vents, always in the halls of the school he's spent most his life operating. However, nobody truly knows where the principal goes at night, and Aizawa is just not bothered enough to try and pry.

.

"Alright brat, follow me." Izuku quickly follows his teacher, keeping quiet. Too quiet for Aizawa's liking. "Aizawa sir, could I ask something?" He turns his head, looking over his shoulder too hid student. "Aoyama...will he get a spot in the graveyard?" Aizawa is actually surprised by his sudden question as he thinks about it. "I don't know. He died in a villian attack and technically was a civilian." Izuku clenches his fist, but otherwise keeps a blank slate on his face. "I see..." Deep down, Izuku felt responsible for his death. Even if he couldn't have gotten there faster if he knew what was happening, he should have caught her. He's Izuku Midoriya! The strongest! He doesn't fail.

.

'Aoyama wasn't very strong, a simple belly lazer quirk that gave him stomach issues. Despite this he made it into UA and strived to be a hero...why? He should have known his death would be very likely every time he fights so why?' He clicks his tongue, frustrated again with his failure to catch Toga. While not emotionally attached to Aoyama, his death is a constant reminder of this blunder and pissed him off.'Damn that bitch...I will catch her one day.'
