After the battle ended between Kenji and Kaizen, Akane and the others approached Kaizen.
Yui nervously asked, "Are you okay, Kaizen?"
Kaizen replied, "Yeah, don't worry. These fellas can't beat me. Didn't I tell you earlier?"
Yui responded, "Yeah, that's fair."
Akane interjected, "Hey, brat, you were getting beaten to death earlier, but suddenly you screamed, 'Please, Mom! Please!' and then you got some rage art or something and beat the shit out of Kenji. Damn, what was that?"
Kaizen was about to explain when Berlin interrupted, "Let's go back to the car first. It's already noon, so we're probably late, and the young master seems a little tired. I guess he wants to sleep, so let's go from here."
Kaizen and the others agreed with Berlin and left the alley.
But then Akane exclaimed, "Ah shit, we defeated the Achievers, so how can we prove it now to the other groups?"
The student who had been beaten by the Achievers stepped forward and said, "First, thank you for helping me. I am Akio from class 1-C. I was going home earlier, but on the way, Kenji and his friends approached me and asked me to grab some cigarettes from the 24-hour shop. I declined, but they tried to force me. When I saw a chance to escape, I ran into this alley, but it was my worst decision. The whole Achievers group was there, and I got stuck. They started to beat me, but after some minutes, you guys came and helped. Thank you so much. I was worried you would lose, Kaizen, but you have that aura too, and your aura is definitely rare. I am also an aura user, but I am too weak.
"There is a person I always respect. He always helps me and other weak students. His name is Rex."
Kaizen got furious when he heard Rex's name.
"Rex? Did you really say Rex?" Kaizen grabbed Akio's arms and asked continuously, "Rex? Did you say that?"
Akio got scared, and Akane slapped Kaizen, saying, "Get back, you freak brat! You're scaring him!"
Kaizen calmly moved back and said, "Sorry Akio, but can you tell me more about Rex?"
Akio replied, "Yeah. When I joined this college, a few weeks later, I learned about the group dynamics going on here. One day, my friends and I were getting bullied by some random group, and then Rex appeared out of nowhere like the main character of an anime series and beat up all the group members. He also had a unique aura too.
When Rex beat all of the students, he came forward and said, 'Stand up, you guys are safe now.' His tone was very badass. I saw him, and he was like a main character for sure. I became his fan and asked him to teach me how to fight, but he always rejected me. He said, 'Fight with your spirit always.' I don't know what that means but he was so cool while saying those words.
After that, I found out that there are some students who walk alone and take down groups. Like Rex. But suddenly, one day, Rex vanished. He stopped helping the weak students. When I asked him about it, he told me to get lost. He was sad and angry at the same time, but I don't know why. He barely comes to college these days.
But Kaizen, who is Rex to you?"
Kaizen said, "He is my childhood best friend. I know him well. He is a serious person but also very cheerful. He always likes to help the weak. And yeah he have that more badass vibe but not like a main character."
Akane said, "Woah, someone is jealous. Haha, brat."
Kaizen replied, "Stop that, devil. I am the main character of this novel, and the writer knows that well."
Yui interjected, "Stop doing that, guys. Stop trying to break the fourth wall."
Kaizen and Akane both laughed and said, "Yeah, yeah, sorry."
Kaizen said, "When I saw him in class, I knew it was him at first sight. But I wondered why he was acting that way. I don't know, but something must have happened. I will get more information about it tomorrow."
Akane and Yui said, "We'll help you. Don't worry, we are always with you. That's what friends do."
Akio said, "Look at the time, it's getting dark. I should go to my house now. Don't worry, my house is nearby, and I can walk there. Thanks for the help again. I will try my best to help you too, Kaizen." With that, Akio left.
Akane said, "Woah, we are late too. Let's get to the car. Berlin must be waiting for us."
Kaizen, Yui, and Akane reached the car, hopped in, and then Berlin dropped Kaizen and Yui at their houses.
