"Who are you?! Why did you attack us?!"
The bear monster stepped forward, confronting Kaito Ren. The boar and elk monsters subtly repositioned themselves, aiming to trap Kaito Ren in a triangle formation, neutralizing his speed advantage before launching a coordinated attack.
Their plan was sound, but Kaito Ren wasn't a fool. He instantly saw through their strategy. With the monsters separated, he could swiftly eliminate the weaker elk monster and then focus on the two Wolf-level Upper monsters.
Intimidation!
The moment the monsters shifted, Kaito Ren activated Intimidation, catching the weakest elk monster off guard, sending it into a dazed state.
The bear and boar monsters, realizing their mistake, tried to stop him, but it was too late. Kaito Ren had already struck, leaving only the elk monster's corpse.
"Damn it!"
"Damn human! I'll devour you!"
The bear and boar monsters glared at Kaito Ren with intense hatred. They exchanged a look, pulling out capsule-like objects from their pockets.
Their eyes flashed red, their speed and strength surging dramatically.
"Hmm?!"
Kaito Ren's heart sank. He immediately activated his Observation Eye.

Kaito Ren was momentarily stunned before realizing that the monsters had temporarily achieved Tiger-level strength through drugs, reverting to Wolf-level Upper after the effects wore off.
Similar to the hawk monster he'd encountered before, but with a ten-minute duration instead of three.
Critically, the drugs had boosted their physical capabilities to Tiger-level, a significant difference.
WHAT THE HELL?!
Kaito Ren cursed his own impulsive wish for a Tiger-level monster encounter. Now, he had two! Were they trying to make absolutely sure he died?
He was confident against Wolf-level monsters, even at peak strength, but Tiger-level was a completely different story.
Tiger-level stats were in the thousands—all three attributes exceeding 1000. He was barely at 300, far from Wolf-level Upper. How could he possibly win? Ten of his punches might barely scratch them, while one of theirs could knock him out.
His only hope…
Kaito Ren's gaze fell upon Little Black, still sound asleep on his shoulder. Despite its unassuming appearance, it possessed genuine Tiger-level strength.
With Little Black, there was a chance. The only problem was hoping for a lucky break—that these Tiger-level monsters would drop monster cores. Otherwise, he'd die either by their hands or Little Black's.
He gritted his teeth, plucked Little Black from his shoulder, and without hesitation, threw it at the bear monster.
The enraged bear monster, without thinking, swiped at Little Black, sending it flying with a loud thud.
Kaito Ren gulped. That swipe would have killed him instantly. Was Little Black alright?
He had no time to consider it. The bear monster, on all fours, charged at Kaito Ren. The boar monster, using its Charge ability, lowered its head, its tusks raised high, creating a devastating shockwave.
Kaito Ren, his eyes widening, dodged frantically, hoping Intimidation would slow them down, but it proved ineffective.
He moved at his absolute peak speed, desperately trying to outmaneuver the two Tiger-level monsters, buying time until the rampage effect wore off. Checking the timer, he almost exploded in frustration.
[Bear Monster (Rampage Mode, 10 minutes, 9 minutes 36 seconds remaining)]
He'd barely lasted thirty seconds! What about the remaining nine minutes?!
Then, a glimmer of hope appeared. Little Black, emerging from the crater it had been thrown into, looked at Kaito Ren with resentment and grievance.
Seeing Kaito Ren's perilous situation, it momentarily forgot its anger and charged towards the bear monster.
The bear monster, fixated on Kaito Ren, didn't notice Little Black until it felt a sharp pain in its back.
Initially dismissing it, it soon realized something was terribly wrong. An intense, constricting pain wracked its body.
The massive creature stumbled, rolling on the ground, howling in agony, its claws flailing wildly. The boar monster was also affected, its front leg scratched. The bear monster soon fell still.
"Hmm?!"
Witnessing Little Black effortlessly take down the bear monster, Kaito Ren couldn't hide his astonishment.
Little Black was incredibly powerful, easily dispatching a Tiger-level Lower monster. But remembering Little Black's resentful gaze, he shivered, swallowing hard, praying the bear monster dropped a monster core. Otherwise, he was truly doomed!
The bear monster lay motionless. The enraged boar monster, ignoring its fallen comrade, limped towards Kaito Ren. Its injured leg significantly reduced its speed, allowing Kaito Ren to easily evade.
Meanwhile, Little Black, emerging from a large hole it had ripped in the bear monster's head, lunged at the boar monster!
