Chapter 7 - Lunch with a Roselia

We walked out of the library.

I don't know if I'm gonna call this good luck or a bad one, but she was flexing hard in front of me.

All I could see was her back.

Too bad... right? I'm a man. I ain't gonna lose to some girl I met in the library.

Even if the same error happened...

It was worth it to go to the committee.

The second I entered,

everyone's eyes widened hard — they saw me from the bottom of my nail to the top of my hair strand.

I put it on the table,

where she asked me to put it.

So I put it in and slowly got out without causing a scene.

The girl followed me out.

In that split second,

the guy I saw with glasses —

what was his name?

Yes, it's Dorog —

looked at me with a rage eye,

mad face, and above all that, a clinging expression.

"Wait… you two don't go yet."

She smiled.

"Why?"

"You there, what's your name?"

He was referring to me.

How refreshing.

"I'm… Jane."

Yeah, it's actually a decoy name.

Jace is my original name.

But I used Jane instead.

Aren't I smart?

"So your name is Jane? Sorry to ask, but mind leaving the room? I guess you helped her enough."

Shit… this kid.

He acts like a commander.

But damn…

It's not good playing all high.

I just bowed my head.

"I will excuse myself."

What's that?

He just smirked.

Wait…

Does he think he is in aura farming… or what?

But then this hot librarian girl stood up for me.

"Wait… why did I bring him and now why are you kicking him out?"

And she actually stood in front of me.

I don't know if it's my looks effect or if she's just being nice.

"But, Emily… he is not a member of the committee."

So Emily is her name...

Maybe I'm just overreacting because she is obviously being nice.

We have even exchanged names, let alone her defending me...

She just got a new idea — her face shining bright red thanks to her new idea, whatever it is.

"Actuuuu...allyyyy, it's okay.

Go on out now, Jane, and Council, I didn't even eat breakfast today so I'm skipping the meeting.

GOOD BYEEEE… everyone."

She pushed me out forcibly and slammed the door.

Wow. What a fascinating move.

Does she mean that she… Damn…

So should I invite her to lunch?

It's a shame to ignore it.

Emily:

"So… Jane is your name… huh?"

"Yeah! My name is Jane."

"Well Jane, mine is Emily. Emily Roselia."

Wait a second. Emily Roselia…

I think I heard the Roselia part somewhere...

Ohhh… holy cow.

She is one of the Roselia family.

That's really good.

The Roselia family are known for their looks.

They look just like angels.

Plus they're one of the top 3 merchants in the kingdom.

That means at this very moment,

I'm with an upperclassman who seems to be one of the Roselia family.

Crazy, right?

But the mind-blowing part is that I'm gonna ask her for lunch.

"You are actually one of the Roselia family? Mind-blowing."

She sparked.

"Ohh… you noticed. By the way, that mind-blowing part… what did you mean?"

"The very thought of the heavens loving me — just when I thought I was going to read, I met a Roselia family member."

I was just kidding.

She's slowly blushing.

Sure, I'm not the type who blabbers all about his life...

But at least even as someone who talks cold but thinks hot…

I at least react.

Emily:

"Come on, don't stress like that, you meanie."

"Well… where are you going to?"

She stands right in front of me, blocking my way.

Her hands are behind her back,

her face red — she slowly raised her head and her chest approached me.

Woo… too close there.

"Hey, umm… is it okay if we ate lunch together?"

She's a baddie…

Hell!!

Yeah she is...

"Of course, why not? Looking back on it now, both of us didn't eat lunch."

We were chatting while walking to the cafeteria.

The school instantly began to spread rumors everywhere.

I simply didn't care.

It was none of my business. I would have actually backed up,

but she's a Roselia.

I must have a very good connection with her.

We ordered food.

Emily:

"I will pay for it since I'm the one who asked you."

She said that while acting like a baddie girl.

"It's okay. Let me pay for today."

Emily:

"No, maybe tomorrow."

"Okay then. Tomorrow."

She actually asked me to lunch twice in a row.

She was smooth with it.

Damn. Baddies are hot.

While we were talking,

this one girl I didn't even know just came to our seat and ruined the whole thing.

Screw her.

Her name is Zia.

She's a really rich-ass kid.

Her family is one of the 3 merchants just like Emily.

Her family name is Eliott.

Full name: Zia Eliott.

Zia:

"Well… what do we have here? The here-and-there bitch, hahaha."

Emily:

"Stop it, Zia. I'm not a bitch and mind excusing us. We are having a private chat here."

Zia:

"I'm not an imbecile. I can at least understand that. But why are you... ohh… my… your eyes are really beautiful."

Well, your body is really nice.

I hope I can say that to her,

but nah — why bother?

It's better not to have her on my bad side as well.

Emily:

"Ohh… thank you."

Zia:

"Ohhh, he really is a gentleman. Aren't you gonna offer me your seat?"

Emily:

"That's enough, Zia."

Zia:

"Well, whatever… I won't take much of your little private time… and you, handsome, what's your name?"

Me:

"My name is Jane."

Zia:

"Good. Remember not to forget mine. Wait, what's my name?"

Me:

"Miss Eliott."

Zia:

"You're such a meanie, you know that? Call me Zia. Okay, byeeee…"

She was awesome.

But what's up with the meanie?

It's my second time hearing it from two different rich-ass baddies.

Emily:

"I'm really sorry. She's kinda like that. Don't mind her."

She looked down.

"Nah… it's okay. I'm guessing she's your childhood friend."

Well like I care. It's just a conversation.

She kinda got very red. Very red.

Emily:

"You're smart, you know that? But you don't look like one... you look like a smart bully.

Maybe that's the reason I'm into you…

Gotta go. Goodbye."

She just stood up fast and ran.

Well... she did say she's into me.

Waaaaiiiiiiiiiitttttt…

She is into me.

What?! No way. Is that why she runs...?
