Tsutsumi shot forward, gas boosters roaring as they hurled him toward the cluster of villains.
"What's this? Sending kids to stop us?" one sneered. "Guess U.A.'s run out of-"
He never finished. In the blink of an eye, Tsutsumi was above him, blades gleaming. One powerful swing later, the man was screaming on the ground, both hands gone.
Another villain lunged, only for Tsutsumi's hook to bury itself in his chest. With a savage yank, he reeled the man in and cut. Legs flew, blood spraying like crimson rain.
Before the body even hit the ground, another hook snapped out, dragging him toward his next target. Two quick arcs of the blade, and both arms spun away.
He kept moving, chopping through limbs with ruthless precision. Years of inherited Ackerman battle instinct turned every motion into a killing blow, but he forced himself to pull back, avoiding neck strikes and vital targets. He isn't allowed to kill…
"This isn't… allowed, right, Teacher?" Midoriya's nervous voice came from behind, eyes wide. "Students can't use their Quirks in combat without a license…"
Aizawa's gaze snapped to him, sharp and irritated. "Why are you still here? Didn't we tell you to retreat?"
"Uh, well-" Midoriya flailed, words tangling as badly as his hands.
They'd meant to run. Really. But the moment Tsutsumi dove into the fray, they froze, unable to look away from the sheer carnage. Blood splattered the plaza, screams cutting through the place. His movements were clean, efficient, like a seasoned pro hero, not a first-year student.
Tsutsumi's focus locked on the man covered in grasping hands. He was already closing in when a black gate opened in front of him, the air warping with space-time distortion. Reacting on instinct, he was about to summon an Aurora Curtain before he entered that black gate.
Suddenly, a white scarf shot out, wrapped around his arms, yanking him back.
"Be careful," Aizawa ordered, stepping into the front line without hesitation.
"Have the others left yet?" Tsutsumi asked, narrowing his gaze back only to widen his eyes, seeing the same black mist that carries a space-time ability had already appeared where the other students once stood.
Aizawa also seems to notice, but he quickly refocuses.
"Focus on the fight ahead, Tsutsumi." Aizawa said, eyes narrowing as he erased a villain's Quirk mid-swing and drove his fist into the man's face. "You can only trust your classmate right now."
A faint heat pulsed from Tsutsumi's pocket. Fishing inside, he pulled out several cards.
Form Ride: Eraser Head
Attack Ride: Erasure
Looking up, Tsutsumi realized that Aizawa was having his back facing him. Placing his full trust in his students.
"I see… then I won't let you down." Tsutsumi said, putting the cards away before pulling out a new card.
"Henshin!"
Form Ride: Build! NinninComic Form!
Purple and yellow armor clamped into place over his black suit, a purple scarf whipping behind his neck.
4komaninpoutou!
Drawing out the comical-looking blade, comic-page panels gleam along its edge.
Charging forward, he tapped a page.
Bunshin no Jutsu!
In a burst of light and smoke, hundreds of Tsutsumis flooded the plaza, drawing gasps from allies and enemies alike.
Could a first-year even do something like this?
The comical ninja form's cloning ability meshed perfectly with the lethal coordination of Ackerman bloodline combat. They swarmed the villains, blades flashing, carving away arms and legs with surgical precision.
If they bled out and somehow die, that isn't his fault; they came to murder children, so they only have themselves to blame for this.
Aizawa slipped behind the small army of Tsutsumis, blinking and rubbing his eyes, feeling the side effects of overusing his own quirk.
"Cheater! Cheater! Cheater! CHEATER!!"The man covered in disembodied hands shrieked like a spoiled child, scratching himself frantically like a dog with fleas.
"Nomu, kill that brat!" he roared.
The hulking monstrosity, a black-skinned creature with an exposed, pulsating brain and a bird-like face, charged toward one of the Tsutsumi clones. Its massive fist connected with a sickening crack, the body bursting into smoke.
The Nomu didn't stop. It barreled into the remaining clones, smashing through them with brutal efficiency. One clone tried to cut into it, but the moment the blade connected, the force seemed to freeze mid-swing. The Nomu's counterpunch obliterated the clone in an instant.
With terrifying ease, it yanked the blade from the fallen clone's hands and snapped it in two. The others rushed in, only to be swatted away and destroyed just as quickly.
"What is that thing?" Aizawa asked, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto the Nomu.
"Not sure," Tsutsumi replied calmly, still watching the creature. "But it's carrying some kind of kinetic energy negation or absorption. Regenerative too. Look, every cut I gave it is gone."
Aizawa's brow furrowed. "This is troublesome..."
"I request to kill it." Tsutsumi asks, shocking Aizawa. "We can't immobilize it, so the other option... is to destroy it." He said, clenching his right fist.
Aizawa gave him a long, silent look before finally nodding. "Normally I wouldn't allow this... but this time, you have my full permission."
He didn't need to hear anymore, stepped forward, and dismissed his armor, causing all of his clones to disappear. Pulling out another card and holding it before him.
"Henshin!"
Form Ride: Black Hazard!
Two black metal casings slammed into his body, opening with a hiss to release a choking black cloud. When the smoke cleared, Tsutsumi stood in his Hero Costume, the magenta now deepened into ominous shades of black and violet. His purple-magenta hair had turned pitch black, the haze of hazardous gas curling off him like a living shadow.
Each step he took toward the Nomu left a dark footprint scorched into the ground.
He drew another card and activated it.
Attack Ride: Erasure
His eyes turned crimson, his hair spiking in a wild mane eerily similar to Aizawa's.
"Oi, oi, oi!" the man-child villain barked. "Kurogiri! Why the hell does he look more villainous than us!?"
The Nomu roared and charged, swinging its massive fist. Tsutsumi met it head-on, his own fist cloaked in swirling dark-purple Nebula Gas.
He swung it, crashing into the Nomu's massive fist. The force pushed the two back.
The Nomu, now without its quirks, has lost most of its strength, stumbled backward, unsteady for the first time.
Tsutsumi was sent rolling back, which he quickly recovered, digging his finger through the granite tile to stop his slide, gouging deep scratches into the floor.
Without waiting, he charged in again, his body continuously emitting Nebula Gas. The Nomu also charged back in, but its punches now were only getting weaker and weaker by the second, not carrying the same speed and destructive force as before.
This gave Tsutsumi a chance to dodge and counter. Each time the Nomu made contact with Tsutsumi, it would be inflicted with a small amount of Nebula Gas, which was giving it radiation poisoning.
Still, despite weakening the monstrous creature and successfully giving it radiation poisoning, it still hit like a truck. From how it was built, Tsutsumi noticed that its sense of pain must have been cut off; otherwise, there is no way it could even move with its brain out like that.
"Nomu! KILL that brat already! You were made to take down All Might!" The man-child shouted loudly in the background, seeing his monster now even struggle to stand.
Without its regeneration ability, it couldn't recover from the radiation poisoning and build up resistance to it. Its movement got slower and slower, to the point that it even fell onto its knees.
"Had enough, huh?" Tsutsumi muttered, holding another card.
His hand, continuously emitting Nebula Gas, reached out, clamping the Nomu's wrist and twisting it, making it scream, but unable to do anything.
Final Attack Ride: B-B-B-Build!
Tsutsumi's foot releases a dark purple energy, before he kicks it in the brain, the radiation poisoning reaching its peak, and it stops struggling. Its brain ruptured in a wet explosion, splattering into pieces on the ground before dropping dead.
Everyone watched in stunned silence as Aizawa and the other students, who were nearby, along with the villains, didn't know what to say to this.
Previously, the dark gas villain only separated the other students out across the USJ, and most of them were lucky to be dealing with low-level thugs, so many of them managed to get out unharmed.
Tsutsumi slowly turned toward the man-child and the fog villain, raising his index finger at them like he was making a casual accusation.
"Now… it's your turn."
His voice was calm, too calm, sending a visible shiver through the crowd.
Oi! Aren't you supposed to be a hero!?
Why do you sound more villainous than the actual villain!?
Seriously, who's the real bad guy here!?
"Kurogiri! Get us out of here!!" Shigaraki Tomura's voice cracked, his legs trembling like wet noodles. The Nomu, All Might's supposed killer, was already down after just a few hits from Tsutsumi. They didn't even know how it happened, but they knew they were next.
"I can't, Tomura… Eraser Head is keeping his eyes on us. I can't use my quirk," Kurogiri replied, assuming this was Aizawa's doing. To them, Tsutsumi's "quirk" just looked like some specialized armor or support gear with special effect. Obviously, Aizawa must be erasing their quirks.
Shigaraki turned to glare at Aizawa. Sure enough, the teacher was looking their way… but in reality, he wasn't using his quirk at all, he just didn't want to risk shutting off Tsutsumi's abilities and putting him in danger.
Aizawa: "?"
Dark purple gas drifted off Tsutsumi's body as he stepped forward, crimson eyes locked on his prey. With Aizawa unknowingly "holding" their quirks hostage, Shigaraki Tomura and Kurogiri couldn't escape, not while Tsutsumi's gaze pinned them like bugs.
"Tsutsumi-kun! Stop! Heroes shouldn't kill!"
A familiar voice rang out. Tsutsumi didn't even turn. He knew it was Midoriya, but if he looked away, the fog villain would be able to use his quirk to escape.
Midoriya's panic spiked. Desperate to stop his friend, he powered up his finger, gathering as much energy as he could.
"SMMAAHH!"
Tsutsumi: "THE FUC-!?"
Tsutsumi's body was flung away by the powerful shockwave, much to everyone's shock.
The shockwave blasted him across the battlefield, sending him tumbling through the air. Kurogiri didn't waste the opening, he warped himself and Shigaraki Tomura out instantly, abandoning the rest to their fate.
...
At the artificial mountainside, Jiro and Momo were facing off against a villain holding Kaminari hostage.
Without warning, Tsutsumi's body crashed into the wall beside them, leaving a deep crater.
"Tch… that son of a bitch," he growled, venom dripping from every word.
"Another one? Heh, guess today's my lucky-" The villain didn't finish. Tsutsumi's hand shot out, clamping around his neck like an iron vice.
The man gagged, dropping Kaminari instantly. Tsutsumi shoved himself free of the wall, crimson eyes boring into the man's soul.
The villain tried to activate his quirk… but nothing happened.
"Get lost."
Tsutsumi hurled him off the cliff like yesterday's garbage.
"Ryo? Are you okay?" Jiro asked cautiously, seeing the anger practically radiating off him.
"No… no, I am not, Kyo." he muttered, powering down. His hair, eyes, and clothes shifted back to normal.
"Thanks, man. I owe you one," Kaminari said, breathing a sigh of relief.
Tsutsumi didn't answer, he just glanced at the new cards in his hand before tucking them away.
The USJ doors finally burst open. All Might charged in… but the fight was already over.
...
The USJ incident finally came to a close. Ambulances and police arrived alongside the rest of U.A.'s teachers.
While the officers and staff rounded up the villains, medics rushed the injured students to Recovery Girl before sending them home for the day, after gaining some reports from them.
In his office, Nezu quietly read over the combined reports from the teachers and Detective Tsukauchi.
"Interesting…" he murmured, his beady eyes scanning the pages detailing Tsutsumi Ryoko's actions.
According to Aizawa, Tsutsumi had summoned a set of armor capable of creating clones and then, in his so-called Black Hazard form, gained enough power to bring down the Nomu. Aizawa noted that Tsutsumi might have somehow accessed his quirk, though it was only a suspicion, not confirmed. Curiously, the main villain made no attempt to retreat until Midoriya flung Tsutsumi aside, at which point they fled immediately.
Aizawa's report also stated that Tsutsumi displayed no hesitation or visible discomfort when killing. He recommended counseling, in case the boy was dealing with psychological trauma.
The police report recorded one confirmed kill at Tsutsumi's hands, though both Aizawa and Thirteen vouched for it being a "monster," not a human. Beyond that, Tsutsumi had severely injured ninety-two villains, crippling many by targeting their legs. While none died, some would never use their quirks or walk properly again.
Recovery Girl's report revealed multiple fractures, both fresh and old; his body is more durable than a regular adult, and she noted a lack of proper rest. She suspected he was either like Aizawa in his early days, overtraining to the point of exhaustion, or was suffering from something that disrupted his sleep.
Hound Dog reported that Tsutsumi had vanished again, and it's starting to piss him off, which didn't surprise Nezu. Unless you caught him before he slipped from view like Aizawa, catching him is nearly impossible.
Detective Tsukauchi's findings added a few interesting details about Tsutsumi's personal life: Tsutsumi liked to travel, spent most of his time searching for his mother, his closest friend is Jiro Kyoka, his skills actually came from dreams, and… expressed a personal desire to break a few of Midoriya Izuku's bones.
Currently, he was asking for official permission to do exactly that.
