Chapter 89 - SURVIVAL 27: POINT OF VIEWS PART 3.2

"A lifetime of memories that I'll cherish till I die and meet you all again"

THIRTWEN'S / KARSON LU'S POV

She has really done it, huh? That Aeith or shall I call her Myriana? Haha! I'm not very used to calling her by her name. She is always frustrated when I'm with her. It all started in virtual games. During that one, our personalities have altered a bit brought by our memories. Despite of pair quarrels, we managed to win the last game. We only had minor squabble, but we ended up supporting each other. Well, we both have no choice because we're partners.

"Myriana, I saw Aeizen there," then I pointed there to the left. I forgot Aiezen's real life name, hehe.

"Don't call me by my name. You call me Aeith," What's with her nasty attitude? I didn't argue with her anything about it.

"Get your pistol ready. We're going to attack Aeizen." How bossy, eh. She could've asked about my plan before commencing hers.

Aeizen is with Fifth. But they are roaming around separately, quite far from each other. And Aeizen is the closest to us right now.

I am holding a small pistol. I would have liked the one that is worn on the back and used with both hands then, bang! bang! boom! As Master Aeith said, I had already prepared myself for the attack. Lucky to know what our nth sense is. Aeith is hearing and I am smelling. I can smell when someone is approaching us or we are close to the target and that's what I smell now.

We haven't found the others yet, so we have no choice but to attack Aeizen first.

"Focus properly, don't fall asleep," I blinked so as not to fall asleep and get bored because this is taking long. "Okay... go!"

I pulled the trigger and waited to see if I could bullseye Aeizen. Man, she ran away rapidly! It looks like she knew where I was and what was I'm going to do. She didn't just move by accident. Fifth got alerted when he felt something. They looked around then they ran away. I saw Aeizen's weapon is a katana and Fifth has a bow and arrow. What a good combination of weapons! Author plays favoritism, huh.

"Sh*t, they're gone. Why are you so stupid, huh?" Okay, she's scolding me.

"Why are you bullying me?" I confronted her.

"Bully? 'Cuz you deserve it! You're too slow," And she left me to where I was standing. There we have it, another pair quarrel from us. She could've been nicer to me but I'm getting to her nerves whenever she plays seriously.

I pondered for a moment and let her leave me. I'm used to it. Accustomed to being left behind. My dramatic self is on. Once upon a time, there was a handsome, cool—okay stop there. I will tell you who I am. The name's Karson Lu, as young as 16. Good-looking, tall, happy-go-lucky, and talk of the town. Kidding aside, I can finally recall why I am here. I have had a couple of friends since grade school. Our bond is so strong that we formed a fraternity group. I was the right-hand man of our leader, my closest friend, and childhood friend who also pressured me into doing stuff I don't to be involved with. Cigarettes, vaping, liquor, and I got myself to do illegal recreational drugs.

"If you're no longer interested with being the mid-man, then forget that you're part of us." He threatened me.

"I've done everything you told me to for the past years. Let me slip this time, just this time." I begged him. How can he forget the years we've been together for a mere task I refused to deliver drugs to him from the dealer.

They become my family so losing them would be difficult. If the people who know I'm part of this frat know that they banish me, I will be prone to bullying and might even be forced to stop going to school.

"Exactly. All you have to do is to give them to me. Simple, right?"

"But, can you-"

"I'll give you until tomorrow," he left me.

I went home and got drunk. I took a cigarette and sniffed some from the last remaining batch before I could deliver more to them.

There has been a raid by the government recently. I wanted to avoid such illegal transactions for the meantime because of this news. I don't want to get caught. Maybe, if I do this for one last time, he'll still consider me to be part of the group. Okay, I'll do the task tomorrow and tell him to refrain from the delivery for a moment until the government declares us clean.

I stood up to get more liquor when my I felt my heart beats faster. I tried breathing more but I couldn't breathe easily. I am breaking out in a cold sweat. I feel dizzy and lightheaded. I held my chest. It's so painful like someone was squeezing it.

"Karson!" someone screamed my name.

Last thing I remember was I was at a hospital. The doctor reported I had a mild heart attack. D*ng. What a life-or-death situation was that for me.

Weeks after hospitalization, the leader meet me.

"I heard what happened to you."

"Ah, yeah. But I'm okay now! By the way, about the delivery, I can do it. But let's lay low after that. The news everywhere has been spreading. The police are scary this time."

"You don't have to bother with it anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"It was fun working with you for 6 years."

He left me shocked. They left me. It was because I got sick. But that wasn't enough reason to just leave me like that. How could they turn against me as if nothing happened.

Even on this day, I have lost many friends here on nth planet too. The difference is it was out of their free will to leave me. They died. To Eleventh, Thirteenth, and my schoolmate, Fortwen—you guys are awesome and will never be forgotten. It might be a short time of bonding and playing gamess that we all had, but it felt like a lifetime—a lifetime of memories that I'll cherish till I die and meet you all again.
