The man and woman who had just ambushed Sabo and Koala were none other than the future Tobi Roppo siblings: Ulti (the sister) and Page One (the brother).
After dinner that evening, the two, bored out of their minds, decided to take a walk along the coast of Onigashima, only to unexpectedly run into Sabo and the others, who were illegally entering the island.
Fun had come knocking, and these two bored siblings weren't about to pass it up.
Now that their fun was trying to run away, Ulti and Page One immediately rushed to stop them.
Ulti transformed into her Pachycephalosaurus form, and Page One into his Spinosaurus form.
However, Hancock, following Celo's orders, stopped both of them dead in their tracks.
All they could do was watch helplessly as Celo, carrying two burlap sacks, and Sabo, carrying Koala, quickly vanished into the forest.
"You vile woman! How dare you block us?! I'm going to ram you to death!!"
Enraged, Ulti (in Pachycephalosaurus form) whipped her hardened forehead forward and charged straight at Hancock.
Seeing this ill-tempered dinosaur girl act so irrationally, Hancock was filled with disgust.
She didn't even dodge; instead, she responded with a direct "Perfume Femur" strike.
"Stupid woman... wait, what the, ?!"
That was Ulti's voice.
The moment before her skull collided with Hancock's Perfume Femur, Ulti had thought Hancock was insane, actually trying to take a Pachycephalosaurus' headbutt with her foot.
The very next second, Ulti is kicked hundreds of meters away.
With a splash, she was sent flying into the sea.
Hancock shook her head disdainfully.
To her, the pirates of the Beasts Pirates in Wano's Onigashima were nothing but frogs in a well, arrogantly unaware of the vastness of the world.
"Do they think I became a Warlord just because I'm the world's most beautiful woman? Sigh… I must act more gently... Celo probably likes gentle women. I should start referring to myself as 'this humble concubine' from now on. Celo, your concubine is coming!"
Not having been by Celo's side for a moment now, Hancock felt deeply uneasy.
So she quickly turned around and dashed off in Celo's direction.
As for Page One in his dinosaur form
The moment Ulti was kicked into the sea, he immediately jumped in after her to save his beloved sister.
Unfortunately, Page One was also a Devil Fruit user.
The arriving Beasts Pirates, seeing two of their crew drowning, couldn't just let them die.
So they temporarily stopped chasing Hancock and, one by one, jumped into the sea to save Ulti and Page One.
"Wait a minute… I'm a Devil Fruit user too, aren't I? Even if it's just an artificial one…"
"Now that you mention it, I also ate a SMILE fruit…"
"So… aren't we artificial Devil Fruit users supposed to drown too?!"
"We don't sink like rocks, but we're drowning!"
"Then why did we all jump into the sea to rescue other Devil Fruit users?!"
Among the Beasts, Pirates were many Zoan-type Devil Fruit users, and even more SMILE (artificial) fruit users.
Everyone who had jumped in to save Ulti and Page One was a SMILE fruit user.
The rest, who had eaten SMILEs that only made them laugh uncontrollably, just stood on the shore laughing at the chaos.
They weren't laughing at their crewmates' heroism…
Okay, maybe just a little.
Meanwhile, Celo, Sabo, and Koala had already escaped deep into the forest, completely unaware of the hilarious scene unfolding at the coast.
They were waiting for Hancock to catch up.
"Are you two hungry?"
Celo was still carrying a burlap sack in each hand.
Maybe that's why he felt extra tired today; he hadn't had lunch or dinner and had burned a lot of energy during the earlier beatdown of Katakuri.
In hindsight, being hungry made sense.
"Now that you mention it… I'm starving..."
Sabo hadn't felt hungry before Celo brought it up.
But once he heard it, he suddenly felt so weak that he nearly collapsed to the ground.
"I think I'm a little hungry too…"
Koala, hearing that, also felt her stomach growl and remembered how she had spent money that morning only to eat a few measly fish.
That memory made her feel… slightly less hungry.
"Celo! Your concubine is here!"
Hancock arrived without much delay and even brought a basket full of fruit.
Celo was delighted at the sight.
He ran up and hugged her, spinning around in a magical circle of love.
Hancock was overjoyed by the twirls.
"I love you so much, Hancock!"
"Ahh! Your concubine… loves you too, Celo!"
Sabo and Koala, though they hadn't eaten a bite of fruit yet, suddenly felt full.
From all the "love-dovey nonsense" they'd just been fed.
They decided to leave the fruit to the pair of dogs, who were feeding them all this dog food.
"Uhm… maybe we should sneak into that giant skull over there. The most dangerous places are often the safest."
Sabo pointed to the massive skull-shaped structure at the edge of the forest.
Though they hadn't seen any pursuing Beasts Pirates yet, the forest wasn't big; if they stayed here, they'd be found eventually.
"Good idea. Let's eat the fruit while we sneak into the skull. Yamato should be inside."
No time to waste, Celo agreed with Sabo's suggestion on the spot.
Still carrying a sack in each hand, he led Hancock, Sabo, and Koala toward the skull.
It looked like the guards who were originally stationed at the entrance had gone into the forest to hunt them down.
Now, the entrance was completely unguarded and eerily quiet.
"Kaido's probably inside, so keep it quiet. If we accidentally provoke him, we might not leave Onigashima alive."
Upon entering, they were greeted by towering, majestic halls.
And silence.
Celo gestured to everyone to stay quiet.
"Celo, where exactly is Yamato? This place is huge, we could search for days and still not find her!"
Sabo, walking nervously along the hallway, lowered his voice.
And his question stumped Celo.
He had no idea where Yamato was.
"Let's split up to search for her. I'll go with Hancock, and you go with Koala. How's that sound?"
Given the situation, Celo felt this was the most efficient way.
Two pairs, much less conspicuous than four people plus two huge burlap sacks.
Sabo thought for a moment, then agreed.
"Uh… but now that I think about it, I don't even know what Yamato looks like."
Sabo, who had already walked a few steps, came back and asked sheepishly.
If he didn't know what Yamato looked like, how could he find her?
Even if he did find her, he wouldn't know for sure.
"Yamato always wears an oni mask, has two horns sticking out of her head, wears a kimono, and carries a kanabō. Oh, and she refers to herself as Kozuki Oden."
"She calls herself Kozuki Oden?! That name sounds familiar…"
Sabo mentally sketched out the description.
One look and you'd know, not a normal person.
But then again… could Kaido's daughter possibly be normal?!
She even claimed to be Kozuki Oden. Why not just say she's Gol D. Roger while she's at it?
"Wait, wasn't Kozuki Oden that legendary samurai from Wano who sailed with the Pirate King?"
"Yeah, I'll explain all that later, right now, let's hurry up and find Yamato."
Celo's Observation: Haki had already picked up a large number of Beasts Pirates returning to the skull.
He urged Sabo to move quickly.
Besides, Yamato's backstory wasn't something he could explain quickly.
"Alright, whether we find her or not, let's regroup here tomorrow night at this time."
"Got it. You and Hancock, be careful."
With that, Sabo took Koala and went off to search for Yamato.
Both had experience infiltrating enemy bases, just not an Emperor's base.
So yeah… this was nerve-wracking.
Maybe they'd even uncover some top-secret Beasts Pirates documents while they were at it.
It could prove a huge boost for the Revolutionary Army's operations in the New World.
This mission was a dangerous but high-reward adventure.
"Hancock, let's go find something to eat first."
Celo, a proud slacker, had none of Sabo's mission-driven spirit.
He figured Yamato probably wouldn't be found anytime soon anyway, so he might as well fill his belly first.
"This concubine listens only to Celo!"
"Hey! You two up front!"
Just as Celo and Hancock were heading off to find food, a voice called out behind them.
It sounded like… a woman.
And now, should they run?
