Louise's nervousness was simply due to the upcoming transaction. As a Sanguine, lying in front of a Sanguine Marquis who had made great contributions to the Sanguine always made Louise feel ashamed.
"Doing this will make the Sanguine stronger, and in the future, I will also become a Sanguine who makes such great contributions."
Louise cheered herself on in her heart, secretly recalling the terms of the transaction she had reached with Mr. Blessed through prayer.
The two walked down the stairs to the underground area, and Louise Sears passed through several secret doors, entering a spacious gray hall.
After Cosmi Odora reported, a deep, aged voice slowly emanated from the coffin:
"Louise Sears, you may state your request."
Louise looked at Cosmi Odora, who was standing to one side. The latter was startled for a moment, then gave a dry laugh and bowed out of the hall.
"Respected Lord Nibbs, I wish to obtain a demigod-level Mystical Item that can greatly enhance spirituality, preferably with minimal negative effects."
Seeing Cosmi Odora disappear from the hall, Louise retracted her gaze and responded without hesitation.
The underground hall briefly fell silent. After several seconds, Nibbs Odora, lying in the coffin, spoke with a serious tone:
"A demigod-level Mystical Item, do you know what that means, Sanguine Baron Louise?"
Louise coughed dryly. She could very well understand Lord Nibbs's current mood, much like a distant relative's young child suddenly asking to borrow a million.
"Only a fool would agree," Louise muttered to herself, her expression unchanged as she spoke:
"Respected Lord Nibbs, I know what that means, so I have also offered generous exchange terms."
"I am willing to exchange a Sanguine Earl Beyonder characteristic. It comes from a Sequence 4 Shaman King, and was not obtained by killing a Sanguine."
Louise quickly spoke while Sanguine Marquis Nibbs had not yet responded, and finally explained the source of the Beyonder characteristic to avoid misunderstanding.
The underground hall instantly became silent. After a long time, just as Louise was about to speak impatiently, Nibbs Odora, lying in the coffin, suddenly asked out of the blue:
"How did you obtain the Beyonder characteristic for your advancement to Sanguine Baron? The envoy I sent to Feynapotter has already returned."
"Your parents said you exchanged it for a Sequence 6 Wind-Blessed Beyonder characteristic. Tell me in detail, where did you make the exchange?"
Louise's heart tightened, thinking, "As expected." However, she had already prepared her answer and immediately responded:
"Please, Lord Nibbs, isolate the inside from the outside."
No response came, but the underground hall was instantly enveloped in a rich crimson moonlight. Feeling her spirituality and inspiration continuously strengthening, Louise subtly nodded and then spoke:
"I traded for that Sanguine Baron Beyonder characteristic at an extremely secret gathering. This current transaction was also proposed by a member of that gathering."
Without giving Sanguine Marquis Nibbs time to inquire further, Louise continued to speak as Aaron had instructed, but her face also immediately showed an irrepressible excitement and joy:
"The member who proposed the transaction also asked me to convey a message to you—'Lilith is reviving!'"
When uttering that sacred name, Louise's voice trembled slightly, but it was a tremor of surprise and excitement.
For thousands of years, the Sanguine had basically not received clear divine revelations directly from their Ancestor. Even if they had, they were vague, leading some to mistakenly believe they were from evil gods like the "Primordial Moon", which caused some Sanguine to have unpleasant conjectures.
Recalling the words of Mr. Blessed transmitted through prayer, even if Mr. Blessed's tone on the last two words "reviving" was a bit strange, it did not prevent Louise from believing it implicitly.
On one hand, it was reverence for the Ancestor, and on the other, trust in the hidden existence of the Lord of Order, as all their conversations were transmitted by that hidden existence.
Under these circumstances, Louise believed that Mr. Blessed would not lie about this matter, and the Lord of Order had not objected to this statement either.
For a moment, the underground hall, bathed in crimson moonlight, once again fell into a deathly silence.
After an unknown period, just as Louise was still pondering the relationship between the Lord of Order and her Ancestor, Sanguine Marquis Nibbs suddenly spoke in a low voice:
"I am aware of your request, but I need some time. You may wait outside the hall first."
Louise nodded, and while the surrounding crimson moonlight had not yet dissipated, she added:
"Do not pray to the Moon, and do not reveal this secret, otherwise it will affect the Ancestor's 'revival'."
She received no response, but Louise did not mind. She turned and left the underground hall, giving a slight nod to Cosmi, who was standing not far away, and then said nothing more.
As the stone door of the hall closed, Aaron, above the dark golden mist, also retracted his gaze. Long before Louise entered the underground hall, she had prayed to him, and Aaron had seen the entire process through the prayer light spots.
Even when Sanguine Marquis Nibbs isolated the inside from the outside in the middle, relying on the black emperor card and his increasingly close connection with the Nation of Disorder, it only made the images obtained by the prayer light spots turn crimson, but they could still be seen.
Recalling the lack of response at St. Samuel's Cathedral and some subsequent plans, Aaron sighed, glanced at his pile of miscellaneous items, feeling a bit reluctant but still condensed a light spot and cast it towards the prayer light spot below.
Louise, standing outside the underground hall, looked slightly dazed, a scene appearing before her eyes:
In the boundless dark golden mist, a familiar figure bowed and spoke:
"My Lord, please inform Louise that I am willing to exchange an item that can locate a Sealed Artifact corresponding to Sequence 3 High Summoner, and a Sanguine Viscount Beyonder characteristic, for a Sequence 4 Beyonder characteristic or Sealed Artifact."
"After the transaction, if you need to deal with that Sealed Artifact, I can also provide assistance, but that demigod Beyonder characteristic or Sealed Artifact must be from the God of Combat Pathway, Death pathway, or Darkness Pathway, one of the three."
...
After watching the scene and receiving the information, Louise's crimson lips parted slightly, and she immediately didn't know what to say. The Sanguine Beyonder characteristics, usually so hard to find, had appeared so many at once: Sequence 5, Sequence 4, and even clues for Sequence 3.
If it weren't for her extreme trust in that hidden existence and Mr. Blessed, Louise couldn't help but have some unpleasant suspicions.
...
Aaron, seated on the throne, sighed. The demigod Beyonder characteristics from the God of Combat Pathway, Death pathway, and Darkness Pathway were, of course, to be sacrificed to the Evernight Goddess.
As a Blessed, Aaron was very clear about his position. Without possessing matching strength, all cooperation was empty talk. To receive help, one must at least provide items of equal value.
