Audrey's thoughts soared as she carefully folded the letter on the table, took out paper and pen again, rested her chin in her hands, and pondered her father's words from that evening.
With a pen in her right hand and her left hand on her forehead, Audrey pondered, troubled, how to write the letter—how to invite Aaron to her father's birthday banquet while subtly expressing her strong interest in the story to come.
After a moment's thought, Audrey's eyes brightened, and she picked up a piece of letter paper and began to write.
.....
"I invite you to my father's birthday party on Wednesday evening. Also, I really enjoy your story, and if you have enough time, I hope you can tell it to me in person. —Your best friend, Audrey Hall."
Audrey finished the last paragraph of the letter, her eyes subtly turning, and with her pen, she drew a smiley face at the end of the letter. Once the ink was dry, she folded the letter and put it into an envelope.
Humming a cheerful tune, Audrey lifted her skirt, opened the door, and prepared to look for Susie and Evelyn, who had run off somewhere.

Empress Borough, Backlund, on the second floor of East Tucker Family's luxurious villa.
The red moonlight spilled onto the window ledge. With a creak, the window was pushed open, and Evelyn, carrying a small bag, darted in.
Aaron skillfully took out the letter, unfolded it with a smile, and began to read. When he saw the smiley face at the end of the letter, Aaron smiled, shook his head, folded the letter, and carefully put it away.
"Wednesday, huh? Time is a bit tight," Aaron mused to himself, then glanced at the wall clock. "Hmm, it's only 11 o'clock, not too late."
He then walked to the changing room, changed his clothes, put on a death mask, and picked up the cyan stone he had bought from Fors.
His figure blurred and disappeared. When Aaron opened his eyes, he was already at East Tucker Manor in the suburbs.
The guards were slightly surprised to see Aaron. After verifying his identity, Aaron walked in and headed straight to Michelle Ved's workshop.
The workshop was filled with incessant clanging sounds. Michelle Ved was forging a whip-shaped weapon. Seeing Aaron walk in, he looked surprised, stopped his work, and went to greet him.
He glanced at the wall clock, and his mood instantly became complicated. It inexplicably reminded him of that dark and windy night when he had met Earl Aaron at home around the same time for a "friendly" exchange.
"Earl Aaron, what do you need forged this time?"
It was no wonder Michelle Ved asked this way; after all, apart from the first "friendly" recruitment, every subsequent meeting with Earl had been for the purpose of forging Mystical Items, which he had grown accustomed to.
Seeing the Artisan being so understanding, Aaron nodded in satisfaction, took out the dark cyan, rough stone, and said to Michelle Ved:
"This is a rather unusual Mystical Item. By reciting 'Door' in ancient hermes, one can use the Spirit World to travel to a desired location."
"It's very practical, but unfortunately, it can only be used once."
"And I've come this time because I want you to forge it into a Mystical Item that can be used by ordinary people who don't possess much spirituality."
"After all, its essence is to travel through the Spirit World, but ordinary people cannot distinguish directions in the Spirit World."
Michelle Ved pondered for a moment, then slowly said:
"Well, you could use some spiritual materials to assemble the exterior as a source of spirituality to activate the teleportation, and engrave guiding patterns on it."
He then added, "These are only theoretically feasible. I need to check some material."
"Moreover, if it's for ordinary people to use, some Sun domain charms would also need to be inscribed to prevent disturbances from other spiritual bodies during Spirit World Travel."
Aaron gave him an approving look and continued:
"Very good, then proceed with your idea. Use the best materials, and make it into a necklace."
"Remember to make the necklace exquisite and beautiful; it's a gift for a friend," Aaron emphasized, staring at Michelle Ved.
Michelle Ved froze for a moment, feeling a vague sense of unease, and responded:
"Alright, Earl Aaron, when do you need this item? So I can arrange my time."
Aaron placed his hand on Michelle Ved's shoulder, applying a slight pressure, and said with a smile:
"Two and a half days. I can give you a maximum of two and a half days. I need to see the finished product before Wednesday afternoon. You, you should be able to complete it, right?"
Michelle Ved felt the pressure on his shoulder, his face twitched, and he looked back somewhat helplessly at the nearly formed whip-shaped weapon behind him and the few unfinished molds not far away.
Aaron's smile did not diminish, and he followed his gaze, adding:
"Any material losses incurred will be borne by me. You don't need to worry about that."
Michelle Ved sighed helplessly and nodded in agreement.

Awwa County, Loen Kingdom, on the banks of the Khoy River in Tingen City.
The gentle morning breeze brought a comfortable feeling. Inside the conference room of the Khoy University History Department, two people sat facing each other.
One wore a vice-professor's robe, with a serious face and a strong scholarly aura.
The other was a middle-aged man of medium build with bronze-colored skin. He was clean-shaven, wore a top hat, had black hair and brown eyes, soft features, and his eyes revealed an indescribable sense of vicissitude. Below his right ear was a small black mole that could only be seen upon closer inspection.
Cohen, a senior Connection professor in the History Department at Khoy University, put down the resume in his hand, thought for a moment, and then asked the man opposite him several specialized questions about Fourth Epoch and Fifth Epoch history.
The middle-aged man opposite responded quickly without hesitation or pause. After hearing the answers, Connection Professor Cohen nodded in satisfaction, stood up, and extended his right hand, saying:
"Mr. Azik Eggers, your professional capabilities are sufficient to qualify for the position of lecturer in the History Department at Khoy University. Welcome to join us."
Azik smiled, stood up as well, and extended his hand.
Connection Professor Cohen greatly appreciated Mr. Azik's views on certain historical issues, even though these views might differ somewhat from his own. Just as the two were about to delve deeper into some historical topics,
The conference room door was suddenly knocked. Connection Professor Cohen frowned and called out loudly, "Come in."
The conference room door was pushed open, and two men and one woman entered with smiles. Seeing the three, Connection Professor Cohen's expression softened, and he introduced them to Mr. Azik beside him:
"These three are my students: Klein Moretti, Welch MacGovern, and Naya."
He then pointed to Mr. Azik and introduced him to his students:
"This is Mr. Azik Eggers, the new lecturer in the History Department at Khoy University. You can consult him if you have any questions in the future."
Klein Moretti, with black hair, brown eyes, ordinary features, a deeper outline, and a clear scholarly air, bowed slightly and extended his right hand, shaking hands with the new History Department lecturer, Mr. Azik.
