Fors re-read the several newspapers she had bought after disguising herself that morning, but still found no reports about the Aurora Order. Without any information, she didn't know what would be considered safe.

Just as the two were frowning in thought, a knocking sound, 'dududu', echoed. Xio sat up, pulling out a gleaming three-edged dagger from under the table.

Fors, startled by the sudden knock, trembled, and the newspaper in her hand fell onto the table, covering a silver bracelet with four remaining dark green, rough stones.

Fors hurriedly pushed the newspaper aside, picked up the bracelet, and stared nervously at the door, ready to flee at any moment.

Xio gripped the three-edged dagger tightly, slowly walked towards the door, and motioned for Fors to follow behind her. With her left hand on the doorknob, she asked in a low voice, "Who is it?"

"Lucivide Joseph. I believe Miss Xio should have heard that name." Aaron, maintaining his cold persona, responded from outside the door.

Xio was slightly stunned, not expecting the other party to directly state his name. Lucivide Joseph was a very famous Hunter in the East Borough previously, a true gentleman who enjoyed punishing evil and promoting good.

Recalling her previous assessment of him, Xio hesitated, unsure how this gentleman had found this place or what he wanted with her.

Uncertain of his purpose, yet unable to keep the door shut indefinitely, which would only make her seem suspicious, Xio deliberated. She then motioned for Fors to move away from her, and she stepped forward to open the door.

A somewhat rugged man wearing a black suit and a semi-tall top hat stood indifferently at the door. Xio wondered if she was hallucinating; she seemed to see a white cat on his shoulder, but it vanished in an instant.

Although the man opposite had changed his clothes and was no longer wearing his characteristic Hunter attire, she recognized him at a glance: it was indeed Lucivide Joseph.

Aaron stood at the door, his spirituality fluctuating slightly, warning Evelina not to cause trouble. He looked at Xio, who stood by the door gripping a three-edged dagger, and Fors, who stood not far away inside the room.

Seeing the Abraham family's bracelet tightly clutched in Fors's hand, Aaron, worried that she might bolt at the slightest disturbance like last time, took the initiative to speak.

"The matter of the Aurora Order has been largely resolved. For some reason, the previous events will not be investigated further. You don't need to be so nervous."

Fors's eyes immediately lit up, feeling as if a huge weight had finally been lifted from her heart. Xio, however, stared at the former adventurer with full vigilance, asking without daring to relax in the slightest:

"Thank you very much for the information, Mr. Lucivide. What do you and the power behind you want with us?"

Xio was no longer the naive little girl who had just arrived in Backlund. She and the gentleman in front of her were only nodding acquaintances. Why would he specially come to tell her such a secret?

Furthermore, it was impossible for a mere Hunter to know such information; there must be an organization behind him.

Looking at the two nervous faces before him, Aaron uttered a single word in a low voice— "Mason Dere."

Ignoring the drastic change in Xio's expression, he walked in unconcernedly, sat on the sofa, and motioned for Fors, who was standing somewhat bewildered, to close the door.

Fors looked worriedly at Xio, finally remembering that this seemed to be Xio's father's name, and then carefully closed the door.

"I work for a certain important figure, and I am also a member of MI9. I know your purpose in coming to Backlund, and I also know the answer you seek."

Aaron sat on the sofa, looking at Xio, whose face showed a glimmer of hope, and added:

"But you are completely unqualified to know about that matter right now. Everything you want to do requires greater strength."

"And I can now offer you such an opportunity. You can become my subordinate, complete the tasks I provide, and exchange your subsequent Sequence advancements based on your contributions."

Seeing Xio nod without hesitation, Aaron smiled faintly and handed over a document, saying with a subtle smile:

"This is your first task: investigate his crimes and obtain concrete evidence."

Xio looked at the name on the document and asked with a slight surprise, "Capim? The wealthy man who also lives in Cherwood Borough?"

Aaron nodded slightly, then said with a sarcastic tone:

"In Backlund, innocent young girls often disappear on secluded, deserted streets, and after a long time, they might be accidentally discovered in various legal or illegal brothels."

"Numerous rumors point to Capim, believing him to be a Criminal Boss with blood-stained hands and a dirty reputation, but due to insufficient evidence, he remains free to this day and has befriended many important figures."

Fors, listening nearby, clenched her fists, wishing she could just open the door and go to Capim's house to bring him to Justice, but then she quietly chickened out, feeling that her current combat power was insufficient to complete such a task.

At the same time, she secretly planned to create another scoundrel named Karl in her work "Stormwind Mountain Villa," and have a righteous and brave detective lady bring this scoundrel to Justice and send him to the gallows.

Neither Xio nor Aaron noticed Fors's peculiarity. Instead, Evelina, who was squatting on the sofa in psychological invisibility, quickly noticed Fors's silly grin.

After observing her with her Telepathist ability, she concluded, "A timid but very imaginative human," then rolled over and paid no further attention.

Xio flipped through the thick stack of materials in her hand, looking at the numerous accusations against Capim, feeling that this scoundrel deserved to die ten thousand times over.

Aaron did not pay attention to Xio's reaction. Capim was merely a tool. Even if Capim died, as long as George III still needed people like Capim to plunder the population, there would continue to be people like Grapin, Ipin, and so on.

The reason for troubling Capim now was simply for his subsequent acting and to gain some initiative, thereby exchanging for more benefits.

To prevent Xio from accidentally touching upon things she shouldn't know yet and bringing trouble upon herself, Aaron still reminded her:

"You just need to find a way to track and collect evidence of Capim's crimes, and verify his charges."

"Even if some things you uncover raise questions, you must suppress your curiosity and not do anything unnecessary, if you still want to live to get the answer you seek."

"Also, this house is not far from Capim's villa. I have already paid the rent for the next two months, so you can stay here and operate for the time being."

Xio was stunned, instantly understanding Aaron's meaning.

The task's duration was only two months; if it couldn't be completed within two months, it would be considered a failure.

No longer looking at Xio, who was deep in thought, Aaron turned his head to look at Fors, who was still standing in the corner, with a silly grin, seemingly lost in thought.
