Lanevus closed his eyes instantly, but the terrifying whispers in his mind seemed to be detonated, impacting him wave after wave.

The strange black patterns on the room walls and on Lanevus's body subtly wriggled, avoiding the fate of direct shattering. The patterns gradually converged on Lanevus's chest, forming a paint black seed that deeply embedded itself, leaving no trace.

Immediately after, the room, the chains, and various indescribable sights began to become illusory, then shattered.

-----------------

In the gloomy basement of Torso Street, East Borough.

A group of black-robed figures were nervously recording something, observing the four wooden beds in front of them. Three men and one woman lay on them, all with pale faces and tightly closed eyes.

Among them, the man on the second bed, with a full forehead, black hair, brown eyes, and nearly round spectacles, even in a coma, his lips were slightly upturned, as if mocking everyone. It was Lanevus.

Suddenly, a black-robed figure spoke in a low voice: "Subject 3 is dying."

As his words fell, the man on the third bed suddenly convulsed, a large opening tearing through his chest and abdomen, revealing his damaged internal organs.

A light blue and black mixed light converged on the damaged internal organs, forming a disgusting Sealed Artifact, from which ethereal whispers could be heard.

He walked forward indifferently, tore off the glowing internal organs, put them away, and then waved his hand.

Two burly men then stepped forward, moving the bed and the corpse on it to a corner, covering it with a white sheet. There were five other such beds covered with blood-stained white sheets in the corner.

The black-robed figure standing in front of bed 2 suddenly raised his eyebrows, looking with ecstasy as black patterns emerged on Lanevus's exposed body and gradually converged towards his chest.

The others also clearly noticed this, and excitedly exclaimed: "As expected of someone Lord Kolan personally captured, he can actually bear a trace of the True Creator's divinity."

"That's right, but this is only the initial stage. The True Creator's consciousness is still relatively weak. We must focus on him and let Lord Kolan decide the subsequent arrangements when he returns tonight."

-----------------

In a dim room on Bridge Street, East Borough.

Aaron had two black-robed figures tied in front of him. He did not immediately return to MI9.

The Aurora Order mobilizing so many people to capture and hunt Beyonders must have a motive. He had to seize the opportunity now, before they reacted.

Aaron looked at these lunatics of the Aurora Order indifferently, interrogating them sternly, and experimenting with the Beyonder abilities of an Interrogator on them.

A moment later, the two black-robed figures were already in tears, their bodies convulsing non-stop. As peripheral members of the Aurora Order who had not yet become Secrets Supplicants, their faith was clearly incomparable to those fanatical believers brainwashed by the True Creator.

Under Aaron's continuous Psychic Piercing and Mental Whip interrogations, accompanied by painful screams, one of the black-robed figures finally confessed what had happened.

Aaron listened with a frown, not expecting that group of lunatics from the Aurora Order were secretly attempting to use Beyonders in the East Borough to contain the True Creator's divinity. However, according to the confession, the experiment had not been successful and had failed many times.

Exchanging a solemn look with Glenn beside him, Aaron's hand conjured a dazzling orb of light. Under the slightly terrified gazes of the two black-robed figures, he continued to ask:

"Where exactly is that basement where the experiment is being conducted? And how many people are still guarding it?"

the first person to confess, ignoring the other person's threatening glare, trembled and quickly responded:

"It's in the basement of 112 Torso Street, East Borough."

"But there aren't many people left, only a few researchers and one Listener and two Secrets Supplicants are still guarding it."

As if afraid Aaron wouldn't believe him, he quickly added: "Many people were transferred by Mr. A, and we didn't dare to ask."

Aaron nodded in satisfaction, and then gave the other fierce-looking person beside him another Psychic Piercing, making him twitch all over. Then he looked at Glenn and chuckled:

"I'm going to the restroom."

Ignoring Glenn's strange gaze, Aaron walked into the washroom, stood before the mirror, and let his divination pendant hang down. His spirituality pulsed as he silently chanted, "His words just now were true."

After chanting seven times, Aaron opened his eyes, received the correct revelation, and nodded in satisfaction before walking out of the washroom.

Without giving the two black-robed figures a chance to react, Aaron directly knocked them unconscious, tying them into a pretzel with rope, and said to Glenn:

"Go to the nearest police station and have everyone from our 4th Investigation Team transferred here. Tell them there's work tonight, and they should all gather."

Glenn instinctively nodded in agreement, and just as he was about to turn and leave, he suddenly remembered that he was, in fact, the team leader. He then smiled, shook his head, and disappeared into the night.

Aaron looked at the two unconscious figures on the ground, put on his death mask, and his figure vanished from the spot. After the surrounding colorful environment returned to normal, Aaron had already appeared on a rooftop near 112 Torso Street, East Borough.

Looking at 112 Torso Street not far away, even with careful observation using spiritual vision, he didn't detect any abnormalities. Aaron guessed that a large-scale Wall of Spirituality might have been set up in the basement, isolating any unusual aura.

To catch everyone in one swoop, Aaron did not act rashly. His figure flickered as he scouted the environment near 112 Torso Street, finally arriving in a nearby alley, quietly waiting for his team members to arrive.

Approximately two quarters of an hour later, accompanied by rustling footsteps, Glenn and the remaining team members rendezvoused with Aaron. Glenn had already briefed the team members on the situation on the way, so Aaron didn't say much more.

He cleared his throat and began to assign their respective tasks:

"The Beyonders who were captured and became experimental subjects, their condition is difficult to ascertain. Although their Sequences are very low, their danger is not small."

"So, the Captain and I will directly enter to eliminate the dangerous targets. The three of you will be positioned around the house to prevent anyone from escaping, and after the dangerous targets are eliminated, you will quickly follow up to control the scene..."

-----------------

The Listener, Gil, stood at the door with a frown, looking at the wall clock. He felt somewhat uneasy; the super-high spirituality brought by being a Listener always gave him a faint sense of foreboding, yet without a source.

The pleasure brought by the phased results obtained from Subject 2 had long since vanished. Gil was about to send a subordinate out to gather information.

Suddenly, his spirituality warned him frantically. Gil's body distorted and stretched impossibly, dodging the flaming spear and golden light cluster that shattered the basement door.

Before he could steady himself and shout about an enemy attack, a cold, chilling sensation swept over his entire body, instantly rendering him immobile. Through the smoke, he saw a pair of light golden eyes.

Gil only felt a sharp pain in his brain, as if a dagger was stirring wildly within it, and his consciousness instantly became chaotic.

Glenn quickly followed, not killing him but directly dislocating his limbs, rendering him unable to resist. Under the agonizing pain, Gil regained consciousness, but it was too late. The last sight before his eyes was a constantly enlarging fist.

Looking at Gil, who was lying on the ground, his body distorted and deformed, already unconscious, the two Secrets Supplicants only recovered from the pervasive Mental Whip, their faces instantly changing drastically.

What no one noticed was that on bed 2 in the deepest part of the basement, the previously unconscious Lanevus suddenly opened his eyes, which were filled with black lines. His entire body covered by shadows, he vanished from the spot, and the figures on the other beds seemed to be stimulated, their forms beginning to mutate.
