Lord Aaron cleared his throat and, without further ado, handed the painting directly to Joseph.

He described the events in detail, emphasizing the power of his ancestor, the strangeness of the painting, and his own quick thinking.

Joseph glanced at Lord Aaron, whose face was pale from excessive spiritual energy consumption, then looked at the token and the painting covered in red patterns in his hand.

He pursed his lips slightly, put away the painting, and said teasingly, "You should go back and rest. You look weak. Do you want me to escort you?"

Lord Aaron's upward-curving lips stiffened, and his face fell. He was about to explain but then closed his mouth, huffing and continuing fiercely:

"No need. The aftermath of this matter must be handled properly. Those Rose School of Thought of Thought followers must be dealt with completely; not a single one can be let go."

Lord Aaron felt a surge of anger thinking that his first bounty mission had ended like this.

Especially after being tricked by that painting, if his current condition wasn't so poor, he would definitely personally eradicate those rats from the gutter.

"Most of those rats are Sequence 8 and Sequence 9, but there's a Sequence 5 Wraith among them. Don't let him escape," Lord Aaron reminded.

Joseph was momentarily stunned before realizing who "those rats" referred to, then nodded:

"I will personally take action. None of them will escape."

Lord Aaron nodded, feeling a little regretful that he couldn't observe a demigod's actions up close.

Spiritual energy surged into the mask, and colorful patterns appeared. Lord Aaron directly activated Spirit World travel, returning to his third-floor bedroom in the East Tucker Villa.

He quickly took off the mask, left the bedroom to tell his valet that he needed to rest and not be disturbed, then lay on the bed and drifted off to sleep.

The night was dark, and under the cover of moonlight, a group of black-clad figures quietly appeared in the Dock District. The leader, with light golden eyes narrowed, waved his right hand, charging towards a cargo ship.

Feynapotter City, the capital of the Feynapotter Kingdom, Serenzo District, South Suburbs. Louise opened her eyes in the basement, her blood-red eyes even more brilliant and dazzling.

Before she could even gather her diffused and overflowing spiritual energy, she leaped up from her spot and happily looked at her Father opposite her, saying, "From now on, I'm also a Sanguine Baron! Now you and Mother can finally feel at ease letting me go out to gain experience, right...?"

On the morning of May 8, 1346, Backlund, Empress Borough, inside the luxurious villa of Earl Hall.

Earl Hall put down the Backlund Morning News, which was still warm. The headline of the morning paper was specially bolded and extremely eye-catching.

"A steam boiler explosion on a Southern Continent cargo ship in the Dock District caused the ship to sink."

Earl Hall shook his head and sighed, "These Southern Continent merchants always shortchange people, not even caring about their own safety."

Although he was sighing, his face was beaming with a smile. Audrey, sitting beside Madam Catherine, looked at her Father's smile and couldn't help but frown and ask, "Father?"

Realizing his expression was inappropriate, Earl Hall lightly cleared his throat, flipped the newspaper to the back, and explained:

"Audrey, I'm not gloating. I also feel very regretful in the face of disaster."

"What I'm happy about is that the repeal of the Grain Act has finally made progress," he said, pointing to the content on the back of the newspaper.

A line of small print was hidden in the corner of the newspaper, extremely inconspicuous: "The House of Commons provisionally passed the motion to repeal the Grain Act yesterday. The Grain Act will soon enter the House of Lords for discussion."

Audrey took the newspaper with a slight surprise, looking at Earl Hall in confusion: "Since the Grain Act has made progress, why isn't it being publicized?"

Earl Hall smiled and shook his head, then put away his smile and said with a serious expression:

"Formal neglect will not conceal the results we have achieved. Appropriate concessions can allow us to gain more."

"Moreover, the House of Commons is just the beginning. The struggle in the House of Lords will be the most intense."

On the morning of Thursday, May 8, 1346, Backlund, Lord Aaron was woken by his personal valet. He took care of his personal hygiene in the washroom and changed into a splendid silk suit with the help of his personal valet.

After a night's rest, Lord Aaron felt refreshed, and the after-effects of yesterday's corruption elimination had mostly disappeared.

Seeing the Backlund Morning News on the table, Lord Aaron smiled after glancing at the headline. Humph, a steam boiler explosion? It was probably directly sunk.

However, it was likely that based on the traces, it was determined that the sunken ship belonged to the Rose School of Thought of Thought. Both the Church and the military, rarely, maintained a unified stance, and their investigation attitude was extremely passive.

What interested Lord Aaron more was the surprisingly rapid progress of the Grain Act. Lord Aaron was pondering the potential impact of these events.

The butler, Dido, knocked and entered, saying respectfully:

"Respected Lord Aaron, East Tucker Manor has sent a gift. Would you like me to bring it in?"

East Tucker Manor? Lord Aaron's eyebrows twitched slightly. Connecting it to last night's actions and that ship controlled by the Rose School of Thought of Thought, he felt a faint sense of anticipation.

Putting down the newspaper, Lord Aaron nodded in assent. The butler then bowed and withdrew. A minute later, he came back carrying a cage wrapped in black cloth and placed it in front of Lord Aaron.

Lord Aaron, with interest, lifted the black cloth. Underneath was not some rare treasure, but a cat, completely pure white without any Noise... more accurately, a kitten.

Although the white cat had no injuries on its body, it was curled up at the edge of the cage, its spiritual eyes revealing fear and apprehension.

Lord Aaron's somewhat bewildered gaze met those spiritual eyes, then he turned to look at a black-clad man who had entered with the butler, eyeing him with a questioning look.

The black-clad man cleared his throat and explained:

"This is a creature that only lives in the Ancient Forest in East Balam, Southern Continent, east of Paz River Valley, and north of the Fertile Plains."

"Its scientific name is the White Feather Spirit Cat. It is a creature of low strength but gentle in nature, highly spiritual, and understands human emotions."

"But precisely because of this, after Roselle opened new shipping routes, it became the preferred pet of various aristocrats. However, due to its extremely small numbers and difficulty in capture, it is extremely rare."

Lord Aaron nodded knowingly, and said in a teasing tone:

"It seems those stinky rats from the gutter were lucky enough to get one, hoping to raise funds for their future activities with it."

"Very good, I am very satisfied with this gift. Please thank Joseph for me."

The black-clad man nodded in acknowledgment, bowed slightly, and then turned to leave.

Waving the butler to attend to his own business, Lord Aaron covered the cage with the black cloth, leaving only an observation opening, to help the little creature calm down.

He then took out the ritual incense and essential oil from his pocket, putting a little into the cage. Amidst the elegant and peaceful fragrance, it no longer trembled, staring at Lord Aaron unblinkingly with its nimble eyes.

Lord Aaron looked at its pure white fur, without a single speck of impurity, and smiled, saying:

"Hmm... from now on, you'll be called Little White. From this day forward, you'll follow me. Hehe, Avonie will surely love you especially if she knows."
