Xiao looks at the room where his wife and baby are asleep
"Why?..Why dear? Why did you want to eat that? Look at now you have made us orphans.. "
He slaps himself for not throwing the whole box when he received it.
Granny was suffering inside seeing her beloved son's state.
Later, the funeral was held. Xiao made baby to touch his mother one last time. He kissed his wife on her forehead and thanked her.
When they came back home he said,
"Mama i know your old but still, I want only me and you to raise the baby. I can't trust anyone.. "
"You don't need to worry my child, he is my pumpkin"
One month after the death of pumkin's mother , he was named as *" Lay"*.
Xiao saw his beloved wife in his child's face.
"He smiles exactly as his mother"
But the wound which Xiao bore left a deep scare. He acted fine but when alone, he would corner himself and cry, stay in dark. Only one person would bring him into light that's Lay..
He would enter dark room putting tiny steps and calling "pappa.. Pappa"
So Xiao realized he can't spoil his child's future. He would no longer worry about his business. He wouldn't go to the office. The senior, trusted employees would handle the business. He would rarely visit his own office. He was always at home, - bathing his kid, playing,singing Lullabies, -doing everything.
Slowly Xiao was detaching himself from his business.
He tied up with Mr. Wang, of NOVA company and Mr. Shades his teacher.
Slowly, day by day Lay was growing into young gentlemen. He could walk, run, understand tiny orders, he could even Hold a conversation. Granny's pumpkin is studying.
He goes to kindergarden.
By now, Lay was 5 years old .
His father and granny is his world. Some times he ask what is mother? Do i have mother?
He cries, why did his mother leave him.
Xiao seeing his question couldn't answer he just hugs him tight.
Lay says he feels sad that other kids are been taken by their mother. His classmates say that the lunch was packed by their mothers.
Lay burst out one day at home asking him to get his mother.
Seeing this granny suggest Xiao to have a remarriage.
But Xiao declines it.
"I can't give that place to any women even she is best in the world "
He takes his child for a walk and gets him his favorite toys, make him eat his favorite food, play games with him and carry him home while he is sleeping upon his shoulder.
Xiao wanted to live a long life for his child, for his mother. So he says Mr. Wang and Mr. Shades to takeover his business. And he will stay somewhere far peacefully with his family.
