— The Next Morning —
Blegh!
Grasping onto the sink desperately, I emptied all the contents of my belly even though I hadn't eaten last night. Looking at the wall mirror, I couldn't help but notice my pale complexion and dark circles caused by sleep deprivation.
This was shocking because everything I did was a conscious decision I had pondered on several times before acting.
The previous night could easily be considered the worst night of my life, especially since I couldn't sleep. Images of the elderly man kept flashing in my head, giving me nightmares every time I closed my eyes.
"What the hell is happening?" I gasped. "You told me my emotions wouldn't be a problem because of your genes."
[Your emotions are suppressed, not completely stripped away,] Lyxor explained. [Your feeling of guilt is just too overwhelming. You need to get a hold of yourself!]
"Fuck you!" I cursed.
