A black jeep sped through the commercial district, heading toward the familiar towering walls I passed through on my way here.
Seated at the back, I could only frown at Ralph enthusiastically sticking his head out of his side of the window like a dog. I'm not sure why, but even the simplest things excited this kid.
My gaze shifted to the passenger seat, where Skull's subordinate, William, was seated. He was helping us move to our new home where we would spend the next five months.
"Why are we heading to the residential district?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Most villain organizations, deviant hideouts, crime syndicates, monster outbreaks, and so on happen in the residential district," William explained. "No one is stupid enough to attack the central district, which is the home of 99% of the country's guardians."
