Chapter 15 - Xenovian Form

Our vehicle drove into a duplex with a fairly large compound. As Sergeant Skull and I got off the jeep, we were greeted by three fairly young ladies dressed in maid outfits, their curious gazes lingering on me.

"Welcome, Young Master Blackwater," they said in unison, accompanied by a bow.

'Didn't we just meet with the Vice Chancellor minutes ago? How could they prepare these people in such a short time?' I was genuinely stunned.

"Haha! Do you see this kid? Your life is about to get a lot better," Sergeant Skull laughed, but I simply walked past him and the maids and entered the building.

"Welcome, Lord Blackwater," a mechanical voice rang out as soon as I walked up to the door.

To my surprise, the door slowly opened on its own.

Turning around to find the source of the sound, I couldn't see anything.

For someone who lived in a dilapidated building, I thought I would be a bit more excited now that I had a beautiful home to sleep in, but strangely, I still felt empty.

'So Xenovians don't feel?' I asked.

[Radical logicality is the secret to success. Emotions are useless,] the voice explained.

"I see," I muttered and walked into the building.

Shuffling footsteps stayed close behind me, but I didn't bother to look back. One of the maids ran up to my side, wearing a charming smile.

She had long blonde hair, and her clothes were really tight, revealing her curves and shape.

"My Lord, I hope you are satisfied with your new home," she said with a flirtatious smile.

[Everyone here has been informed of your status and potential. Don't be surprised—these servants will try to get with you, hoping to secure themselves a spot in your life,] the voice warned.

At that moment, Sergeant Skull walked in with a smile.

"I'll head to the administration office to complete your registration. But don't worry, I'll have my men do all the shopping and fill up your wardrobe with new clothes, perfume, a mobile phone, and everything you need," he said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a card.

"Once you get the phone, don't forget to save my number. Give me a call if you need anything. I'll come running even if I'm in the middle of a war with some hideous beasts," he added with a light chuckle.

I simply nodded and took the card before speaking.

"Will you be heading outside the walls again?"

"Yeah… But like I said, I'll come running if you need anything." Sergeant Skull gave me a wink before walking out.

I stood and watched the sergeant leave while considering whether to keep his card or throw it away.

[He may be of use to you in the future. There is no harm in holding on to it,] the voice advised.

'I guess so,' I said and turned around to see the same maid standing close to me, her large breasts just inches from my face.

"I prepared a hot bath for you," she said before leaning in, her chest pressing against my face. "I can help you bathe if you wish."

Her voice was low, seductive, and provoking—but it only made me feel disgusted.

This girl was clearly over eighteen, but she was trying to seduce a ten-year-old?

"What is your name?" I asked calmly, and the maid's face lit up.

"Maria…" she said while licking her lips.

"If you ever act silly around me, I'll kill you on the spot," I said with a blank expression, but my words made her shiver.

I still had the bloodstains from the mutant dog, so my words carried more weight.

"I-I apologize!" Maria fell to her knees and bowed with a terrified expression.

"Now, show me my room. The rest of you prepare food for me—a lot," I said before walking past her.

The living room was spacious, but what caught my attention was the floor-to-ceiling windows that bathed the room in natural light while offering a breathtaking compound view. The high ceilings and chandeliers gave the room a majestic air.

If only I could enjoy it.

"T-there is a home automation system that allows you to control lighting, temperature, and appliances with voice commands," Maria stuttered, and I just nodded at her words.

We walked up the stairs leading to the next floor. It opened to a sizable corridor with about five rooms.

"All four are bedrooms, and the last is your personal study room," Maria ran past me as she explained.

She ran up to one of the doors and opened it.

"This is your room, Lord Blackwater," she said.

I said nothing and just walked in. Upon entering my room, I slammed the door behind me and glanced around. Tucked away at the left was a king-sized bed. Beside it was a bedside table with a night lamp and an alarm clock.

On the right side of the room were a few sofas and a glass desk, positioned near a glass wall, most of it covered by expensive curtains.

My gaze quickly shifted between two doors—one on the left and the other on the right.

Curious, I walked through the door on the left, which led to a massive dressing room filled with mirrors, cloth racks, and shelves. They were all empty now, but I wasn't bothered since I knew clothes would be delivered soon.

"Are there cameras in this room?" I asked.

[You are not important enough for them to go that far. Also, no one wants to see a skinny kid naked, so even if there are cameras, it won't be in a place like this.]

"Good," I said while walking up to one of the mirrors.

There was something I wanted to try out—something I couldn't do since I awakened these abilities.

"Devour…" I muttered, and my eyes let out a bright purple flash.

My long black hair suddenly rose under the influence of an unseen force. It turned spiky, with purple streaks blending perfectly with the black.

My skin darkened and gained a purple shade, while strange armor plating—like dragon scales—began spreading across my body.

The edges of my lips tore all the way to my ears, revealing a bulky set of shark-like teeth that could easily be over a hundred if counted, and my nails grew into black claws.

"So this is what I look like in my Xenovian form?" I said in an unnaturally deep voice, while looking at my claws.

I wasn't sure why, but I felt invincible.
