Owl Viathan's POV – Patch Notes: Reality Edition
Okay, one month in, and I'm still alive.
Honestly, I expected to die during the tutorial.
But here I am, still kicking.
I've officially accepted that I'm not Chen Tianwu anymore. That terminally ill guy with 200 hours clocked into Chrono Arcanium and zero hours in physical therapy.
Nope. That guy's dead.
Now I'm Owl Viathan, a side character I made on a whim for fun—just to see how busted I could make someone who wasn't the MC.
Plot twist: I became him.
And let me tell you something real quick…
You know those broken builds you make just for memes?
Yeah. That's me now.
But somehow, I'm not laughing.
Let's talk talents.
I rolled "The Fool" on character creation—something that only appeared once in the entire game.
And not in a playable character, either. No, it was the final boss.
The guy who caused three nations to collapse without even lifting a sword.
That's the kind of energy we're dealing with.
"The Fool" boosts manipulation (solo and crowd-based), and gives a high bonus to book-smarts, social IQ, and academic knowledge.
It's not gold-tier like "God's Wisdom" or "Prodigy," but it's cracked in how natural it makes everything feel.
Like I'm not even trying. Just vibing through people's heads.
And yeah, I paired that with Sword Saint and Archmage.
Sue me. Min-maxing is in my blood.
What did you expect me to do on my deathbed, play fair?
So now I've got the manipulation of a cult leader, the sword skills of a raid boss, and the spellcasting of a postgame archmage.
And for some reason… I'm still technically a background character.
Not for long.
My Life's Side Quest Log:
Get Stronger – Kinda a speedrun.
Get Bitches – That one's a joke, relax. (No NTR for the game MC.)
Support Ana – She's the main heroine. Too cute. Needs backup.
Find Artifacts – Might nerf this a bit for balance.
Get Smarter – Already halfway there, baby.
Ana Elrovia.
My childhood friend. The original heroine. And now?
She's real.
Golden-blonde hair with that cool white-blue tint, a holy and ice combo magic setup, and the personality of a less-annoying saintess.
Think Ana Schariac meets a less passive-aggressive Raven.
I made myself her older brother figure because her family's infighting arc was too brutal to watch during the first playthrough.
Guess now I get to protect her… IRL.
Now about artifacts—
I'm definitely keeping the Star of Eden.
That sword's too fire to pass up. All spacey and divine-looking, it's literally a Honkai fan's wet dream.
The dev straight-up admitted he got inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd.
Can't blame him.
Apparently, the Star of Eden was a knock-off made using a failed replica of a top-tier relic called the Core of Stars.
And guess what?
I remember where the real one is.
So yeah, picture me, a guy with mid-level space affinity, wielding the real Core of Stars while swinging Star of Eden like it's a starter weapon.
Gamer moment. 100%.
If I fuse them down the line, maybe…
Star of Armageddon becomes real.
But not yet. No spoilers.
Let's talk aesthetics. I look like someone you'd find in the final cutscene before the credits roll.
Gray hair with black ends. A tired face. That "I've seen some sht"* aura.
Perfect for misdirection and manipulation builds.
I even scare myself in the mirror sometimes. It's great.
Now about the MC of this world? The original "hero"?
Dude's a walking naïve angel. A literal NPC waiting to be corrupted by the plot.
But I'm gonna change that. Early on, before life punches him in the face.
Let's give him a reality check—early.
I also remembered: my clan's in a political grave right now.
So yeah, next side quest: revive the family name.
God, I hate politics. I came here to escape taxes, not file them with a different name.
As for the marriage system—uh, yeah, forgot about that.
Apparently, my family signed me into a noble marriage with Elysia Loveru.
Yep. That Elysia.
The one with waist-length pink hair, killer curves, and the bloodline of an Ice-Love dual-caster family.
I must've bribed the devs when I made this backstory.
No clue how this deal happened, but hey, I'm not complaining.
Now for the intelligence grind.
My family's old estate still has a massive library, untouched since the clan's downfall.
Dusty, creepy, abandoned—but full of hidden gems.
One book I need to reread:
"An Archmage's Wish for More Spells."
It's basically a diary of a spell junkie who kept creating magic until he ran out of mana—and friends.
If I dive into that and start crafting new spells myself?
Oh man, I'll break the game.
Final thoughts for tonight…
Why am I talking like this is a novel?
Screw it.
"Hey, dear imaginary readers. If this is a story, make sure to drop a five-star review. I'm doing my best out here."
Three talents. A fallen noble status.
A busted support build disguised as a lazy strategist.
And a sword too cool for a side character.
This isn't just a second chance.
This is New Game+.
Now peace out. I've got levels to grind and a world to break.
