Felix was unaware of Aaron's disappearance and was reeling in the drunkenness of the constant notification flashes at the corner of his vision. He chose not to look to know if he was getting the usual 25% bonus attributes or a 100% of it from the dominated soldiers, leaving it for later to build up the suspense for himself.

He was clearly enjoying this more than he should.

"Felix, we have a situation."

Felix heard this and reeled around to find the speaker, but realized he couldn't pinpoint where the voice had came from. He recognized the voice to be that of Michael and couldn't help but be amazed at yet another of his abilities.

"Michael? What's the situation?" Felix asked, still clashing weapons with the enemy soldiers.

"It's Aaron… I think he bailed on us."

"What?" Felix was stunned on hearing that.

A soldier saw that as an opportunity to deliver a devastating strike on him but was left stunned himself as Felix countered and knocked his sword out of his hands without even looking in his direction, before he kicked his armored chest that sent him flying.

"What do you mean? Where is he?" Felix quickly asked.

"I don't know, but I think he disappeared sometime during the battle and might be inside the city."

"What? Why?"

"I honestly don't know, Felix. But something's wrong inside. They're under attack. And only Aaron could be responsible for that as the city was at peace just before we arrived, and now it's all chaos with Aaron missing."

Felix frowned. "Do you think he took it that far?" He found it hard to believe that Aaron would resort to such cowardly tactics. He had only joined in because he thought the plan was to subdue the military and adjudicate the government.

Had Aaron truly bailed on them to massacre innocent civilians? Felix didn't think so. But Aaron was definitely up to something.

"Can you get a closer look at the situation inside and report back to me?" Felix asked.

"Understood."

Felix didn't believe Aaron had gone into the city to wreak havoc. But if the city was under attack from the inside, Felix couldn't wrap his head around what it could be. But it definitely wasn't Aaron, and Aaron hadn't disappeared to go into the city to save lives either without informing them beforehand for assistance.

Felix felt irritated at the big mystery he couldn't even bring himself to make speculations on without the [Overdeath] skill that gave clarity of mind.

He needed to know what kind of attack the city was under, before he could piece two and two together to know what Aaron was up to.

"Zombies," Michael's voice drifted into Felix's ear once more. "The city is being attacked by a horde of undead."

"What?" Felix was even more confused now. "And Aaron?"

"Couldn't spot him anywhere."

Undead? The same undead they had faced in the Sahuagin dungeon. But come to think of it; Felix hadn't realized this before but thinking about it now, Sahuagins even though called Sea Devils weren't dark creatures. They were one of the many other beast races though in alignment with the Dark Lord, but not from the underworld and thereby shouldn't possess powerful underworld abilities such as necromancy.

According to the record, the Sahuagin does indeed have a Shaman and performed rituals, but their Shamanism was with spirits—like druids—and not relating to anything with the dead or bringing back an ancient god to life.

So necromancy must have been taught to the mob boss of the Sahuagin, Sekolah The Maw Crusher, by an external force. Probably under some kind of pact, because necromancy wasn't a simple art of dark magic that would just be taught to some random mob boss without something of equal value in return.

Felix was getting somewhere, and he knew it. But he seemed to have hit a road block on who this entity might be and why they were in Lumengarde—or why they had chosen to attack right when they did.

Coming to think of it again, a city like Lumengarde with its military power sacrificing a few people at intervals for the sake of peace from an inferior race instead of sending a battalion to wipe them out was just suspicious.

Whoever had enacted that law, must have something to do with the Sahuagin beforehand, and was possibly behind the undead attack who had spawned right from the city itself.

Felix needed more information to conclude his hypothesis. He needed to ask Sarah some questions. Only then would he understand just what was going on and what Aaron might be up to.

"Michael? I might have some questions for the prisoners."

At that moment, Michael appeared before Felix and joined the butt of his daggers together then extended them as an ominous chain materialized, linking both blades with the expandable chain.

"Go. I'll hold them off to the best of my abilities."

Felix nodded at him and leaped on his sword once more, piloting it with the [Telekinesis] skill toward where the others were.

"Back so soon." Athenae commented as Felix touched down before them.

"Sarah," Ignoring her remark, Felix went straight for Sarah, "I need you to tell me everything you told the handsome guy back in the dungeon."

"A—Aaron? Is there a problem?" Sarah asked in uncertainty.

"Yes… your city is under attack by an undead horde—"

"W—What?"

"What?!"

"Yes. Like the ones you saw at the Sahuagin base only this time they are humans from your graveyard. So if you know even the slightest information of why that is so, you'd better not hold back." Felix said in all seriousness.

"Oh—Oh my Goodness. It's that witch…"

Felix couldn't help but smile at this serious moment. This scene was all too familiar for him, an avid gamer, as in every MMORPG he's played, Sarah's words 99.9% of the time usually hinted at and triggered a Quest notification.
