Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Calm Before the Storm

Zayn's world looked perfect—sharp suits, quiet rooms, and full control. But beneath the surface, plans were already unfolding. One file. One photo. And suddenly, the past wasn't so far away.

***

The morning sun slipped gently through the curtains of Zayn's villa, lighting up the marble floors in a soft golden glow. Everything around him was clean, quiet, and elegant—just like the life people believed he lived.

Zayn woke slowly, stretching in his large, comfortable bed. The house was peaceful, but something in the air felt different. He showered, got dressed in a sharp black suit, and fastened his most expensive watch around his wrist—the one he only wore on important days.

Outside, behind the house, his driver Faqir was waiting by the car. The engine was already running.

Zayn stepped out with calm confidence. Faqir greeted him with a smile.

"Good morning, sir. Have a great day."

Zayn smirked. "Good morning. My day is just beginning. But for someone else…" He paused, adjusting his cuff. "Their bad days are about to start. May God help them."

He got into the car without another word. Faqir followed and began to drive. For a few minutes, they moved in silence. Zayn watched the clouds roll across the sky, a small smile on his face.

Faqir glanced at him through the mirror. "You look really happy today. What's the reason?"

Zayn stretched his arms, relaxed and calm. "Ahh… My grandfather used to say—always get what you want, no matter how hard it is. That's the thing he liked most about me."

Faqir nodded, smiling. "Ohh… now I get it."

Zayn's voice turned serious. "I want full details on the Khan Mansion. Who lives there.

Who works there. Who visits. Everything."

Faqir's expression changed to full focus. "Yes, boss. I'll take care of it."

"Good," Zayn said with a cold smile. "Keep this energy for the final plan."

Faqir laughed. "Don't worry, boss. I have plenty of energy."

They both laughed, the sound quiet but full of tension. The car rolled ahead down the calm road—but beneath that calm, something big was coming.

And Zayn was ready.

(Scene - zayn's office)

The city buzzed outside the tall windows of Zayn's office, full of life and noise. But inside, everything was still. The walls were sleek, the furniture modern, and the air held a quiet tension.

Zayn sat alone behind his large desk, focused on his laptop. His fingers moved quickly across the keyboard, his eyes sharp with thought.

Then—

Knock. Knock.

He didn't look up.

"Come in, Faqir."

The door opened, and Faqir walked in holding a brown file. He approached the desk and gave a small, knowing smile as he placed the file down.

"Khan Mansion details," he said. "Everything you asked for."

Zayn closed the laptop and leaned back in his chair, a slight smirk forming on his lips.

"Okay… let's begin."

He opened the file carefully. Inside were documents, names, addresses, and old family records. His eyes scanned the pages. As he read, he spoke softly under his breath.

"Meher Khan, 24… Asad Khan's daughter… currently searching for her missing sister…"

He paused, raising an eyebrow.

"Huh… interesting."

Turning the pages, he found a section with photos. There were pictures of Meher with her parents, smiling at formal dinners. Others showed her with college friends, some from a trip to Scotland.

Then—he stopped.

One photo caught his eye.

His expression shifted. The calm in his face disappeared, replaced by quiet confusion. His eyes locked onto the image. He didn't blink.

Slowly, without a word, Zayn stood up from his chair, still staring at the photo.

Faqir noticed.

He frowned slightly, concerned.

"Sir? What happened? Are you okay?"

Zayn didn't answer.

Something in that photo had shaken him.

To be continued...

Zayn didn't say a word, but the look in his eyes had changed. The game was no longer just about power—it had become personal. Whatever he saw in that photo, it wasn't just a name or a face. It was a memory. And memories… have a way of coming back when you least expect them.
