Chapter 142: Kiana-Cat
Kiana slept peacefully.
The past four months of fleeing, combined with her heartache, had left her physically and mentally exhausted. Her spirit had reached its limit. The warmth and familiar scent of Himeko's embrace allowed her to finally let go, and she uncontrollably drifted off to sleep.
"Himeko? You're alive?"
Fu Hua appeared, her form somewhat blurry and weak, her expression a mixture of shock and disbelief.

Stelle silently apologized in her heart. March, I'm sorry. Please forgive me just this once.
Kenji held back a laugh. Fu Hua looked at Kenji, and for some reason, her fists were getting itchy. She felt like opening something up.

"Wow! This is even more delicious than Mei's cooking!"
Kiana was awake. She had confirmed that Himeko was not a hallucination. She had wanted to talk to her, but Himeko had told her to eat her fill first.
Kenji smiled slightly. Gourmet Cells, young lady. They're amazing, aren't they?
Himeko looked at her gently. She had matured a lot. It seemed she had suffered a great deal during this time. But she believed her student could overcome it. This was a student she had high hopes for, after all.
"Pfft!!"
Kiana suddenly spat out a mouthful of black food residue. She looked at the half-eaten black substance in her hand. Why did this taste so much like the food she and her old man used to make?

The voice Kiana hated most right now rang out in her mind.
The Herrscher of the Void was getting anxious. A crack had finally appeared in Kiana's heart, giving her a chance to seize control of the body. But now, because of Himeko's return, it was healing over. Gasp! This can't be happening! This isn't how it's supposed to be!
"Shut up!" Kiana said impatiently. She wanted to talk to Himeko, not waste her breath on the Herrscher of the Void.
"Monitor, if you really feel guilty, then make her shut up," Kiana said, taking the initiative to speak to Fu Hua. She didn't have the energy to argue with the Herrscher right now.
Fu Hua was silent. Her consciousness had been partially restored by Kenji. She directly locked the Herrscher of the Void in a small, dark room.
[I... ******* (Herrscher profanity)]
The Herrscher of the Void's voice could no longer be heard, but she was definitely cursing up a storm.
So much better. Kiana breathed a sigh of relief. Her ears were finally quiet.
"Auntie... Himeko, will you be coming back to St. Freya Academy?"

"Kiana, can you use the Herrscher's power now?" Himeko asked with interest. For this foolish student of hers to be able to master the Herrscher's power in the future was truly impressive.
"I can use a little. The rest is in the hands of the Herrscher of the Void," Kiana said, frowning thoughtfully. If she used too much of the power, it would be easy for the Herrscher to find an opening.
"Kiana, I know a place where you can train and grow stronger. Are you willing to go?" Kenji asked.

"I'm willing." A determined light shone in Kiana's clear blue eyes. She never wanted to experience that kind of powerlessness again.
