Chapter 60: Kenji: Heh heh heh, Your Account is Gone
"Listen to me—"
"I'm not listening! I'm not listening!"
Just as Kafka was about to use her Spirit Whisper, Kenji interrupted her casting animation.
Kafka: "..."
"Pfft..."
Silver Wolf laughed, the bubble she was blowing popping on her lips. It was the first time she had ever seen Kafka's Spirit Whisper interrupted like that, as if he knew her casting animation.
"Hmm?"
Kafka shot a look at Silver Wolf. Silver Wolf, you know what to do.
"Yes, yes. Please leave for a moment."
Silver Wolf wiped the gum from her mouth, her fingers dancing across a virtual keyboard. The space around Kenji and the others began to distort.
So this is Aether Editing?
Kenji focused his senses. She was trying to move them out, but it wasn't their time to exit yet.
"Snap!"
Kenji snapped his fingers, and the space stabilized again. They hadn't been teleported away by the Aether Editing.
Aether Editing was magical, but it wasn't invincible. Against a counter, its effect was diminished.
Silver Wolf's expression turned serious. She looked at Kafka.
"There's a spy on the other side."
"What should we do, Kafka? This is a bit tricky."
As expected, a powerhouse who could devour the energy of a Stellaron was not so simple.
"Kafka, hurry up and use your almighty Spirit Whisper!"
"Heh heh heh... Little Wolf, you were the one who made a move on us first," Kenji said with a wicked smile.
A shiver ran down Silver Wolf's spine. She had a bad feeling about this.
"Ruan Mei, you have the Corporation's contact information, right?" Kenji leaned in and whispered in Ruan Mei's ear. The scent of plum blossoms was very pleasant. The warm breath on her ear made Ruan Mei a little uncomfortable, but she nodded in response to his question. The Genius Society members were all individuals the Corporation wanted to recruit. She had the contact information of several high-ranking executives saved in her phone.
"Then you do this... then this... and then..."
As she listened, Ruan Mei's expression grew strange. She looked at Silver Wolf with a hint of pity. So many accounts. To think that the infamous Stellaron Hunter likes to play games.
Silver Wolf was confused, but the unease in her heart grew stronger.
"I understand. This isn't difficult," Ruan Mei said.
She sent a message to a Corporation executive. The reply came quickly, stating that it was no problem at all. The Corporation was happy to do Ruan Mei a favor, and since Silver Wolf was a Stellaron Hunter, they didn't mind doing it.
"It's done," Ruan Mei said calmly.
"What did you do?" Silver Wolf couldn't help but ask.
"Nothing much. Today is a good day (the plot begins), and the lucky number is seventy-six, so I decided to make a little sacrifice," Kenji said with a smile.
Silver Wolf's eyes widened.
Seventy-six. That number was all too familiar to her.
How could she not know how many game accounts she had?
Could it be, could it be...
Masaka—
Silver Wolf looked at Kenji in horror, as if he were the devil himself.
Seriously, dude? Do you have to?
With Ruan Mei's status, if she asked the Corporation to do something to her accounts, they would do it beautifully.
"Looks like you've figured it out. That's right, your accounts are gone," Kenji said playfully. He had just moved up the timeline of her account bans a little. In the words of Madara Uchiha, You were the one who started it.
No—!!
Snowflakes drift~ The north wind blows~
Silver Wolf's hands trembled. She took out her phone and logged into her games one by one.
[Account Banned!]
[Account Banned!]
[Account Banned!]
...
It was over. Barbecued!
Really, they were all banned.
Silver Wolf's face turned pale, her body trembled, and she felt like she was about to burn out. The last sliver of hope she had was crushed.
She logged into a dozen accounts, and they all showed "Banned." There was no need to check the rest.
Her golden signature weapon, her top-tier gear with double crit sub-stats...
She had grinded for so long for those. She might never be able to get them again.
"Honey, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Kafka asked with concern.
She had never seen Silver Wolf like this. It was a little worrying. It looked like she was about to cry and throw a tantrum.
"I... I'm fine..."
Silver Wolf's voice held a barely perceptible sob. Silver Wolf is not a child anymore. I can't cry now. This isn't the place to cry.
"Beg me. I can help you unban them," Kenji said, a slight smirk playing on his lips.
"I don't need your help!"
Silver Wolf sniffled. She would go to the Interastral Peace Corporation's headquarters, Pier Point, and find a way to unban her seventy-six accounts. To beg Kenji, the guy who had gotten her accounts banned? In her dreams. This was a matter of the Wolf King's dignity.
For the great Wolf Lord, this was but a small setback.
"Are you really okay?"
Kafka saw the pained expression on Silver Wolf's face.
What had Ruan Mei and the others done to make Silver Wolf exude such a strong sense of resentment, as if they had killed her parents?
Wait... her accounts are gone?
Could it be that account? Kafka looked at Kenji with a strange expression. You're a monster. But it wasn't without its benefits. Silver Wolf had been staying up too late, which was bad for her eyes.
Right now, the script was more important.
But... with the Stellaron in its current state, Kafka had a headache. Could it still be used? The variable in the script was truly unexpected, and there was no time to find another Stellaron to put in the vessel.
Elio had said before that if things went wrong, they could just retreat.
"What's wrong with her?" Furina asked in a small voice. She felt like Silver Wolf was about to cry.
"How do I put this... right, it's like if you had acted for five hundred years, worked so hard, but in the end, you had nothing," Kenji explained.
"Alright, that's so pitiful," Furina said, looking at Silver Wolf with sympathy. If it were her, her Hydro energy would probably be overflowing too.
Kenji suddenly said, "Silver Wolf, you may have lost seventy-six game accounts, but you still have me. I can play with you."
Did you just say what I think you said?
"I'll f***ing... (Punklorde expletive)."
Silver Wolf's face turned red. If Kafka hadn't been holding her back, she would have exploded at Kenji.
Kafka's expression was strange. Is that something a human should say?
Kenji comforted her, "Alright, alright, don't be like a child."
"Silver Wolf, I'll leave the preparation of the vessel to you."
Kafka: "???"
Is this right?
What's going on? That sounds like the line I was supposed to say in the script.
Case solved. Kenji has his own Elio.
Silver Wolf looked at Kafka. What do we do now? Do we just leave?
"Hurry up, the Trailblazers are coming," Kenji urged.
Kafka was a little numb. Usually, she was the one pulling the strings, but this time, she was being led by the nose. She was tempted to ask him if he wanted to join the Stellaron Hunter family; they needed talents like him.
"The Stellaron is probably useless now. There's no point in creating the vessel," Kafka said.
"It's fine, leave it to me."
Kenji patted his chest. He was no longer the same person he was half an hour ago. He was now full of power!
"...Alright. Silver Wolf, you can begin."
Kafka thought for a moment. She really wanted that little one to awaken, even if the script had gone wrong.
"Got it."
Silver Wolf began to create the vessel. She knew all too well how much Kafka cared about the vessel of this Stellaron. She really did treat it like a treasure.
Ruan Mei understood now. The Stellaron Hunters had prepared a vessel that could contain a Stellaron, which was why they had targeted the one on the Herta Space Station. This calm Stellaron was quite special. Unlike other Stellarons, it wasn't in an eruptive state.
Unlike her group mate Kenji, there shouldn't be any problem with studying the "Stellaron Spirit." So she didn't stop them; she was happy to see it happen.
