Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Recommendation From Liam

[POV 3rd Person]

[Scene: Home]

Liam kept recounting the events after graduation, meanwhile Anthony had already walked home from the grocery store, marked the buy date on his foods to ensure he uses what he buys in time, and had sat down at his desk, just as Liam was finishing up his story.

"Sounds like you two were busy, I could never manage what you two do. I mean you both are still second-year graduate students, studying, taking tests, still going to conventions, and now add marriage planning on top. You have a lot on your plates. While I do not like making trouble for myself, I want my friend's marriage to go off without problems. I live only 20-25 minutes away from your University, I can come by and drop off my notes and our study materials from our undergraduate years. I saved all of it to reference and use for my students' lesson plans and I have a feeling that one or both of you either forgot, threw away, or kept your notes but they are not in good condition. I do not want either of you failing an exam because you forgot something basic or simple from then. All of the notes are in a binder of mine, in neat handwriting, in three different languages." Anthony said after some thought.

Liam, a bit overwhelmed asked, "Wait really? That would be amazing! But I have to ask, why did you have three sets in different languages?"

"Some languages carry context better or are more compact, I would switch between them depending on the amount I had to write, small amounts would be in English, larger amounts in compact Kanji for writing speed or if I am running out of space on a page, and if I am running on auto-pilot I use Italian as it is phonetic. Words are spelled the way they sound, and sound the way they are spelled, which makes it easier to speak and present to others."

"That was more information than I needed, but fine, I will take it. Just remember it is not a wedding gift." Liam chuckles.

"You are so troublesome." Anthony said with a small smile.

"Well, I appreciate it, and while it might not be a typical repayment I have a feeling you don't do much outside of work after we graduated, yes?" Liam started.

"No, I don't, why?"

"I have a game that both John and I love, I think you should play it. It has a deeper story beyond what the game shows and the music is great, and it has simple controls, perfect for someone who does not play video games often to jump into." Liam said.

Anthony hearing Liam's sales pitch began to think, 'Something both of them like, huh? Well, the last time that happened I got sucked into three years of watch groups, I didn't dislike it, in fact I miss it a bit. I guess I can check it out, those two never made things difficult for me.'

"Alright, tell me, what is this game called?" Anthony asked.

Liam replied, "Undertale."
