Chapter 12 - 12

"Oh!"

With the sound of a sword clanging, several more ribbons appeared around Daki's body.

A protective net formed in front of her.

The ribbons, with terrifying flexibility and toughness, made it impossible for Murasame to cut through.

Sparks burst out, and Akame immediately took a few steps back.

The ground where she had been standing was shattered by a ribbon strike.

"Quick victory!"

Leone clenched her fists and suddenly approached.

Her speed was even greater than Akame's as she punched Daki in the face.

Before Daki could react, Leone slammed her into the wall with a series of heavy blows.

"It hurts! Bastard!"

Daki crawled out of the wall, shouting angrily, and all the ribbons behind her quickly flew out.

The speed was so fast that Leone could not dodge in time, and a cut opened on her shoulder.

But not long after the blood appeared, the wound began to heal.

Seeing Leone's strong resilience, Daki's face showed a hint of irritation.

"No less than Leone's resilience?"

"And that strange weapon… is it an Imperial Arm?"

While analyzing Daki's abilities, Akame also moved swiftly, dodging her attacks while thinking about how to defeat her as quickly as possible.

Now that they had caused a commotion, it was likely that someone would arrive soon.

"Akame, let me hold her off."

"You take the chance to kill her."

Leone knew this was their best option.

If Daki wasn't killed, their appearance would be exposed, and Night Raid would lose one more person who could move freely in the imperial capital.

Thinking of this, Leone's figure moved quickly.

She ignored the flaws in her defense and directly engaged Daki.

"Stupid, swords can't do anything to me at all."

"Just let me kill you first."

From their conversation, Daki naturally understood their plan.

But as a demon, she wasn't afraid of ordinary swords.

As long as it wasn't sunlight or a Nichirin blade, she couldn't be hurt at all.

Immediately, following Leone's movements, she unleashed all the ribbons around her.

She planned to kill the woman who had punched her first.

But just as her attention was completely focused on Leone, her back was suddenly slashed by Akame.

At first, Daki didn't feel anything and even expected Leone to be cut into pieces.

Suddenly, she felt a strange sensation in her body.

Then, severe pain erupted, spreading through every part of her body.

Daki fell to her knees with a shocked expression, disbelief flashing in her eyes.

At this time, her bare skin was covered with black curse marks.

Her body trembled violently, pain sweeping through her like fire.

"Let's go. We've already made too much noise."

Leone saw that Daki's body had been covered in curse marks and released her Teigu's power.

The Teigu Murasame, known for killing with a single cut, ensured that anyone struck would face certain death.

"Brother! Brother!"

"I'm in so much pain!"

"Help me!"

Daki rolled on the ground, the curse marks continuing to erode her flesh.

Her mind became unstable, her hands slapping the floor as she desperately called out for her brother.

"This girl really hasn't grown up."

"Let's go, Akame."

Leone turned to look at Daki, then started to leave.

But suddenly, a red flash streaked toward Leone with lightning speed.

Sensing danger behind her, Leone instinctively dodged to the side.

Akame also sensed something was wrong and turned her head.

Leone's figure twisted, but blood sprayed as one of her arms was severed.

"Impressive…"

"Your reaction speed is really fast…"

An eerie voice echoed from where Daki had been.

Unexpectedly, a skinny man holding two blood-colored scythes appeared.

This was none other than Gyutaro, the real Upper Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki, a twin demon with his sister Daki.

He and Daki might not be individually strong, but their shared ability was a special bug—

Unless both were killed at the same time, neither would die.

"Ugh!"

Leone fell to the ground in pain, sweat running down her forehead.

She endured the agony, reactivating the Lion King while using her muscles to clamp her wound and minimize bleeding.

Akame also began assessing the situation.

"What a shame."

"If that man knew of your embarrassing state, I'd be punished."

"Don't let such a small dose of poison kill you, my sister."

Gyutaro looked at Daki, who was still writhing in pain, and sighed softly, his voice full of twisted affection.

In his mind, demons did not die from toxins.

To him, Daki was just his pampered, spoiled little sister.

"Brother… this poison…"

"It can't be dissolved… it's killing me… over and over…"

Daki's expression was one of pure agony.

Her pupils trembled as tears fell from her eyes.

Even though she had been a demon for a long time, the pain was unbearable—

as if she were being burned alive inside a furnace.

No words could describe it.

"What?"

Gyutaro's face darkened.

He realized the seriousness of the situation.

Immediately, he glared at Leone and Akame, blood-colored scythes tightening in his grip.

"Blood Demon Art: Flying Blood Scythes!"

Gyutaro turned his own blood into razor-sharp blades, launching them at the two who had harmed his sister.

The speed was so fast that even Akame was startled.

She quickly raised Murasame to block, the constant ringing of metal echoing as the blood blades shattered upon contact.

Akame understood they couldn't stay here any longer.

When Gyutaro's assault stopped, Akame immediately grabbed Leone, picked up her severed arm, and leaped from the high window.

It would be a waste of time to continue fighting here, and Leone's severe injuries needed urgent treatment.
