Junghoon stared at him in surprise.
For a long moment, silence hung between them like a blade. Then he chuckled softly.
"That's a costly joke, Sweet."
The omega slowly stood up, his movements controlled but his expression tight with irritation. "What part of my statement sounds funny to you?"
"I don't want this relationship with you."
Junghoon's brows furrowed, disbelief flashing across his face. "You're breaking up with me."
He gave a small, bitter smile. "May I know why?"
Jihoon's chest constricted painfully. He swallowed hard, forcing the rising emotion back down. "We're not good for each other. There's no future for us."
The alpha frowned, a faint tremor in his voice. "But what we had—"
"Was a moment of weakness," the omega cut in sharply. "Our age difference is a factor, and the fact that I'm also your lecturer is a big problem."
He exhaled shakily, trying to sound detached. "And I don't want to be in a relationship where I'm looking behind me all the time."
