Leo took a deep breath and explained, "While I was in recovery, I did my best to work to get things how they should be. But it's not enough. After getting out, I had to gather more power and influence so I could get them off my tail. But they are persistent, so for the next months after I was discharged, I was buried in work trying to get things in control while suppressing them. But things are still a mess. As you can see, they are still out to kill me. I honestly didn't want to contact you yet, since I didn't want to get you involved in this mess. But recently, they learned that I am married and got a copy from the public records. Thus, they are now looking for you, too. It was why I searched for you immediately, since you need to hide as well."


"What?!! No way! I don't want to be part of this. Our agreement is 2-3 years. It's over now. Won't they stop going after me if we divorce?" Lillian gulped.
