Chapter 84 - Chapter 83: I Shouldn't Have Any Expectations of Your ConscienceAfter Charms class, everyone's view of Levander changed noticeably.

This wasespecially true for the Slytherin students.

They had previously been skeptical of Levander's strength and background.

But now, after witnessing Levander's mastery of the Silent Spell at his young age, their doubts were completely lifted!

Levander had quietly planted a seed of fear in their hearts.

This was, of course, a deliberate display of power on Levander's part, intended to intimidate the Slytherin students.

Levander was declaring to the entire Slytherin class, "I'm strong, don't mess with me."

Of course, to the Slytherin students, there was also a caveat...

"...My family is also strong, and yours can't be messed with either!"

This, at least, deterred many purebloods who had been unconcerned.

It was truly an unintended outcome.

To them, being suppressed by a pureblood, even one from another nation, was something they could barely accept.

If Levid were a Muggle-born, that would be a different story.

In that case, while they wouldn't be able to defeat Levid, they would certainly have their families find an opportunity to teach him a lesson!

These pure-blood families have plenty of ways to deal with young Muggle-born wizards!

Meanwhile, Levid and his small group followed the crowd toward the Great Hall.

It was already noon, and everyone was starving.

On the way, Alphard and Henry were somewhat frustrated because they hadn't succeeded in making the feather float.

Charlie, though puzzled by their frustration, was tactful enough not to question them.

In the Great Hall, at the Slytherin table,

Levid and his group sat at the end.

The other Slytherin students, purebloods and non-purebloods alike, involuntarily distanced themselves from them.

Despite Levid's display of strength, they were still isolated.

The purebloods were the primary force isolating them, and the non-purebloods, fearing the other purebloods, were reluctant to engage with Levid and his group.

They feared they would be the next to be bullied.

They didn't have Levid's ability to protect themselves.

However, Levid and the others didn't mind at all, instead relishing the quiet.

Shortly after they sat down, the kitchen house-elves used their unique magic to teleport whatever food Levid and the others wanted to eat right in front of them.

Tom forked a sausage and took a bite before speaking carefully, "Alphard, Henry... although this may not be comfortable for you, you're still too weak."

Alphard and Henry lowered their heads in shame.

They were both pure-blood wizards, but one, bullied by his sister since childhood, had no ambition to learn magic early on.

The other, spoiled by his family, had spent his childhood playing around and had little experience with magic.

Consequently, they were the weakest of the group, unable to even perform a simple levitation spell.

Even the newcomer, Charlie, had learned a few moves from his mother; otherwise, he wouldn't have had the courage to take on a pure-blood like Abraxas.

"Don't be discouraged.

No one is born strong. It doesn't matter if you have limited abilities.

You are my friends, and I will help you become stronger." Tom said, looking at Levid.

Levid nodded

. "Yes, we have achieved our current abilities through gradual practice. Of course, you can too!"

Alphard and Henry looked at Levid and Tom hopefully.

"Can we become as strong as you?"

"Of course we can.

And you must become stronger."

Levid said sternly.

"Before, you could do whatever you wanted, but now that you are our friends, you must be vigilant at all times."

"If they can come in groups to block us, they will most likely block you... We won't be with you all day. What if..." Levid sighed.

"I don't want to see you in the hospital wing or St. Mungo's next time..."

Levid's words filled the air, not just Alphard and Henry, but everyone else as well.

Although Levid's display of strength had frightened off many purebloods, some still harbored resentment towards him and his companions.

In other words, until their group becomes stronger, they have to be on guard against those guys' plots.

Tom said, "So, we need to find a place where we can gather and practice together in our free time.

I need you to get stronger, and we need to get stronger too."

Anne pondered, "In that case, we'll have to find a secluded place."

"It has to be not only secret, but also large enough for us all to practice spells freely," Charlie said.

Alphard frowned and said, "Why don't I ask my sister?

She's in her third year now, so she'll definitely know some secret spots."

Henry shook his head, "Forget it.

Your sister... If she knows we're looking for a secret place, then all Slytherin will know."

Alphard scratched his head and said sheepishly, "You're right, Henry..."

Everyone fell silent, each thinking about what kind of place in the castle they should find.

Levid said, "Leave it to me. I'll find a suitable place."

He said this because he had an idea.

Secret and suitable for practicing spells?

The most suitable place would definitely be the Room of Requirement.

Li Wei De remembered the location of the Room of Requirement, but he had never been there.

So, he had to find a time to look for the Room of Requirement in person.

Tom asked, "Do you have a suitable place?"

"You can say that I have only heard of this place occasionally, but... I have to see it in person to know what it is like."

After deciding to find the Room of Requirement, Levitra immediately notified his friends to gather there.

As for why Levitra knew about such a place?

Only the weak need explanations.

Don't ask, if you do, it's just something he heard about.

"Then tonight," Tom said, seeming a bit impatient.

Before Levitra could answer, he heard someone talking to him from behind.

"Hello... Hello, are you Levitra Lee?"

Levitra turned around and saw a round-faced girl wearing glasses looking at him with fear.

"Yes, who are you?

What can I do for you?"

Levitra said this with his usual gentle smile.

But surprisingly, the girl shuddered at Levitra's fright.

Everyone looked at each other, wondering what a coward this girl was...

"My... My name is Myrtle Elizabeth Warren... Please... Please don't hurt me!"

Myrtle said incoherently.

  "Pfft..."

Livid turned to look at Tom, who was forcing himself to hold back his laughter. "Tom, is that funny?"

"Yes, it's funny.

Because this is the first time I've seen that smile of yours fail," Tom said with a gloating look.

Tom had seen many people find Livid's gentle smile approachable.

But now... Tom felt that this girl named Myrtle was the first person besides himself to see through that false smile and see his true nature!

"Ha!

How funny!"

Livid glared at Tom, then turned to Myrtle and continued, "Ms. Warren... you came to me for something, not me... how could you conclude that I would hurt you?"

"I... I just... many people in your academy say you're terrifying... just saying hello could get you attacked with a curse!"

Myrtle shuddered.

"Well, it's better for them to be a little more terrifying, so... what exactly do you want from me?"

After confirming that Livid was indeed not as terrifying as the rumors said, Myrtle remembered why she had come here.

She quickly pulled two slips from her pocket.

"This... Professor McGonagall asked me to bring you these.

Your detention times are on them..."

Levander took the slips, a look of bewilderment on his face.

He was just delivering two detention notices, wasn't he?

Was he really that frightened?

"Okay, thank you," Levander thanked him, then handed Tom the slip.

Myrtle said nothing and scurried off.

"Are all Ravenclaws so jumpy?"

Anne asked, puzzled.

"Normally, they aren't... maybe she's a bit timid."

Levander picked up the slips and began to read.

"Tom, it looks like we can't explore that place tonight.

We have detention in the Forbidden Forest."

"Sigh... why do I have to go to detention with you?

Professor Slughorn said you're free of detention, and yet you still insist on going to the Forbidden Forest," Tom said, extremely dissatisfied.

 l"What are you talking about?

Didn't you ask for it?

You said that if I was punished, you'd be punished too..."

Tom was stunned, a moment later uttering a word.

  "Damn! How reckless!"

The Forbidden Forest, for most students, was a place that terrified them.

After all, it was truly dangerous, and the school, to instill fear in students and deter them from entering, naturally exaggerated its severity.

So, while the Forbidden Forest was dangerous, it wasn't as terrifying as the school portrayed it to be.

However, the other students didn't know this.

So, when Levander and Tom arrived at Mr. Ogg's cabin, the Slytherins waiting there, aside from the seniors who remained calm, the other freshmen were practically pissing themselves...

Because so many people had committed offenses this time, the detentions were being carried out in batches.

Today was Levander's batch, and tomorrow would be another.

The detentions would only be completed after they had spent a month in the Forbidden Forest...

It had to be said that this punishment was indeed very severe.

However, Levander could understand Professor McGonagall.

Perhaps, she had long been dissatisfied with these guys who liked to bully others.

"Good evening, Andre."

Levander greeted one of the big guys.

Andre just glanced at Levander and said nothing.

He didn't dare to act like he was very familiar with Levander...

Moreover, he was far from being as calm as he appeared to be when he was about to enter the Forbidden Forest.

Tom followed Levander and saw the dark Forbidden Forest, and he felt a little nervous.

He saw Levander looking around calmly and couldn't help asking, "Why aren't you afraid at all?"

"Afraid?"

Levander looked at Tom in confusion.

"Going to the Forbidden Forest is like going home for me. Are you afraid to go home?"

"I don't have a home."

Tom said with a cold face, as if trying to awaken Levander's little conscience and make him feel guilty.

"Ha, I didn't expect you to tell a hell joke!"

"Well, I shouldn't have any expectations of your conscience..."
