The Black Pearl rocked gently in the harbor waters.
Aside from the Red Heart Pirates captain, whose head was worth 30 million Belly, all other pirates had been knocked unconscious by Silas and thrown into the sea to feed the fish.
If they woke up in time, that was their luck. If they died, that was their misfortune.
After all, Silas was not the type of villain who resorted to violence at the drop of a hat. "People do not offend me, I do not offend them." Were they not still given a chance to survive?
"Twenty thousand Belly total!"
"What? You damn goat, why do you not just go rob people?"
Though cursing under his breath, Silas still readily paid the medical fees for Rocks and the others. After all, they were old acquaintances.
Currently on the Black Pearl, besides Silas's group, there were also Newgate and his companions, plus the doctor Silas had found in town.
A doctor who looked like a goat and was not even half his height.
Silas remembered that in the future, the Straw Hat crew had also encountered a doctor with a similar appearance. Probably a member of the same species or a descendant of the goat before him.
"How about it? Want to join my crew? My ship happens to need a doctor right now."
"No thanks."
The goat doctor refused without courtesy.
"I do not want to be flayed alive by Kureha. That woman said only she could be the doctor on the White Wolf Pirates."
"Hmph, when I announced the disbandment, that old hag was the first to run away."
Silas curled his lips, but his eyes showed nostalgic emotion.
"After all, everyone is getting old."
"What about you?"
The goat doctor tilted his head to look at Silas.
"You are not much younger than Kureha. Even if you can maintain your fighting strength now, how many more years can you keep it up?"
"Haha, the time I can persist might be longer than you imagine."
Silas pointed to his own face.
"Looking at me now, do you still think I am a seventy-year-old man?"
The goat doctor examined Silas seriously, then suddenly pulled out a syringe.
"Hey hey, what are you trying to do?"
"Draw blood!"
The goat doctor's eyes revealed intense curiosity.
"Your current appearance does not match what is normal for someone your age. If I remember correctly, you look younger now than you did fifteen years ago!"
"As far as I know, you are just an ordinary human, and Devil Fruits do not have life-extending functions, so I want to know what exactly happened to you."
"If I could uncover the secret behind your condition, it might extend all of humanity's lifespan significantly!"
The goat doctor spoke without reservation.
"So that is why the fact that you have not been beaten to death shows pirates are too kind."
"Because if I got beaten to death, there would be no one to treat their injuries."
The goat doctor said seriously.
"Haha! I almost forgot you are the genius who could annoy Kureha enough to urge me to leave Sphinx quickly."
When Silas came fifteen years ago, the goat before him was still a black-market doctor who treated people with self-taught medicine. Fifteen years later, the black-market doctor's reputation had spread far and wide on this island, with many injured pirates seeking his treatment.
"Are you planning to reoccupy Sphinx this time?"
"What, not happy about it?"
"No matter how badly you do, it is still better than what those bastards have done."
The goat doctor closed his medicine box.
"Let us go. Do not leave little Stussy alone at the clinic. This island is about to descend into chaos."
The goat doctor called for his clinic nurse to leave.
Little Stussy?
The name the goat doctor mentioned sounded somewhat familiar, but since the system did not react, Silas did not think much about it. After seventy years, he could not possibly remember every person's name from the original plot.
Without dwelling on it too much, Silas looked toward Newgate and the others sitting on one side of the deck.
"Well? Have you decided?"
Silas's invitation to Newgate was sincere. Although Newgate's current strength was still very weak, limited by his age, he was not even as strong as Rocks from a year ago. However, Silas was confident he could help Newgate grow to Rocks's level within a year. After all, Newgate's talent was not inferior to Rocks's.
Crew members who could skillfully master Haki were not weak anywhere, and Silas believed that as time passed, both Rocks and Newgate would become stronger and stronger.
Having endured for so many years, spending a few more years training Rocks and Newgate to at least a great pirate level was nothing in Silas's eyes.
"I... need to think about it more."
In his heart, Newgate very much wanted to agree to Silas, because this was the White Wolf Pirates, the crew he had dreamed of joining since childhood.
But seeing his injured companions beside him, Newgate fell silent again.
He could not abandon his companions and leave alone.
"If you are worried about your companions, then open your eyes wide and watch carefully."
Regarding Newgate's refusal, Silas smiled, not minding at all.
"Fifteen years ago, I changed Sphinx. Limited by my strength at the time, I had to compromise with some pirates."
"But now it is different."
"From today onward, no one can make me compromise."
Silas stood up, the sea breeze making his shirt flutter. In Newgate's eyes, though Silas was not particularly tall, he radiated a presence that made it impossible to look away.
One pirate flag! Two pirate flags! Three pirate flags!
Newgate saw the pirate ships around the Black Pearl gradually clearing out. A large group of pirates, as if afraid of being caught in the crossfire, drove their ships away but were unwilling to miss the upcoming conflict, so they stopped at a distance.
Then, three pirate ships twice the size of the Black Pearl sailed from afar, appearing at the harbor where the Black Pearl was docked.
"Immortal Pirates!"
"Black Merchant Pirates!"
"Monster Pirates!"
The pirates hiding at the harbor to watch the excitement could not help but swallow when they saw the three aggressive pirate crews, their eyes gleaming with excitement.
"C-Captain, we are staying so close. Will we not get caught up in this?"
"Shut up!"
The mohawked pirate captain shouted excitedly, "This is a conflict between the White Wolf Pirates and three great pirate crews! Such viewing opportunities are rare. If a fight breaks out, even dying would be worth the price of admission!"
In a corner, a blonde girl wearing a white sun hat secretly snuck out, her face showing dissatisfaction.
"Hmph, Uncle Goat would not bring me out, so I came out myself. That is the White Wolf Pirates! If I could catch the eye of the White Wolf Pirates' captain, I could easily make big money in the future and would not have to work hard bandaging and treating people."
What is wrong with old men? Old men are the best!
When White Wolf Silas died, she could inherit his fortune and have money to spend for the rest of her life!
The girl thought naively.
