Not an impostor, but the real deal!
After feeling the terrifying aura emanating from Silas like a ferocious beast, Iron Hand Jord no longer had any doubt about Silas's identity.
Because even on his captain, Immortal Jason, Jord had never felt such a terrifying presence.
There were differences between pirates. There were also distinctions among great pirates.
At this moment, Jord gained a deeper understanding of this truth.
"Wh-White Wolf Silas!?"
"Yes, it is me."
Silas looked at Jord calmly. Although they were roughly the same height, in Jord's perception, Silas was looking at him like he was an ant.
"Do you want to die or live?"
Hearing Silas's voice, Jord's throat became dry, the last bit of hope in his heart completely vanished, and he could only say in a low voice, "I... I want to live."
"Good. Take your arm and have your captain come see me."
Without seeing any movement from Silas, Jord only felt a gust of wind blow past. Then he saw the remaining standing pirates looking at him with terrified expressions.
My arm?
Only then did Jord suddenly realize his arm had lost all feeling. He turned his head and saw only an empty shoulder. His prized arm had been cut off!
"Ahhhhhh!"
Seeing the pirate with a 50 million Belly bounty lose his arm in a single encounter, the surrounding pirates looked at Silas with extreme terror.
What horrified them even more was that Silas's strike had not just severed Jord's arm but had also split three entire streets of the town in half. A massive gap stretched across half the port town.
"Oh, and not just your captain. Have the other two crews come as well. There are too many flags flying over this town."
Looking at Jord, who was kneeling on the ground clutching his severed arm, gritting his teeth, and breathing heavily, Silas continued.
This island was one Silas had taken great effort to claim over ten years ago. After so many years without management, others had taken over like cuckoos in a nest.
If Silas had retired, that would be one thing. But now that he was preparing for a comeback, he naturally wanted to reclaim his former territory bit by bit!
Originally, Silas had not wanted to trouble these local strongmen so soon, but since they came to him first, he could not be blamed.
"Let us go back," Silas said.
"Are we not going to the underground black market?" Ripley asked.
"Among the three pirate crews occupying this place, there is definitely one running the underground black market. We can just talk to them directly later."
Although Silas had stayed in Elbaf for half a year, that was not enough time for major changes to occur on these seas. For instance, he recognized all the flags hanging over the town.
Immortal Jason. Black-hearted Merchant Duke Gate. Monster Moz.
Their bounties were 120 million, 115 million, and 138 million, respectively. Of course, those were their bounties from a year ago. Now that a year had passed, aside from Jason, Silas did not know if the other two had any changes to their bounties.
Great pirates with bounties exceeding 100 million Belly were famous figures throughout the New World. A year ago, Silas might not have been able to easily take them down one-on-one.
But now things were different.
"Perfect timing. Rocks should be about finished on his end too."
Silas's gaze turned toward the Black Pearl.
A little earlier, while Silas and Ripley were dealing with those pirate thugs, Rocks and Newgate had fallen into a hard battle.
"Hey, hey, are you planning to keep hiding?"
Casually firing a shot that blasted a large hole in the Black Pearl's deck, several pirates from the Red Heart Pirates walked across the deck like cats toying with mice.
"Hehe, our target is just the stuff on this ship anyway. As for your little lives, we do not really care."
Red Heart Pirates captain Bennett spoke while signaling for his ship to approach. If time ran short, he did not mind dragging the whole ship away.
"Tsk, this kind of old wreck would only be sailed by some old geezer."
Thinking of Silas and Ripley, who had left earlier, Bennett felt somewhat regretful. If he had known this ship really only had three people, he would have attacked directly. Why use a bunch of kids to test the waters while he reaped the benefits?
As for the flag on the pirate ship? Rather than believe that old man was White Wolf Silas, you might as well believe he was a new Marine Admiral!
"I hope you will not disappoint me too much."
In the ship's cabin, looking at the pirates walking toward the cabin, Rocks's expression darkened slightly.
If it were just the captain alone, he would have already struck to take him down. But besides the gun-wielding pirate, there were several other enemies with decent strength. If he could not take down the opponent in one strike, he would definitely face a group attack.
Pirates would not lecture him about honor.
"Hey, kid, can you still move?"
Rocks patted Newgate, who was twice his size but could only curl up into a ball beside him.
"Yes."
Newgate nodded dully, then looked worriedly toward the deck where his companions still lay after being knocked down.
"In a moment, help me draw their attention while I go deal with those guys!"
Those pirates saw them as children and did not take them seriously. And this was exactly their opportunity.
"Why should I help you?"
Hearing Newgate's question, Rocks grinned.
"Because I saved you just now, so your life belongs to me now!"
Although he was just a kid, their brief interaction had made Rocks sense the potential in Newgate. Using him as a distraction would be more than sufficient.
"Follow me!"
Rocks roared and charged toward the Red Heart Pirates' members.
By this time, the Red Heart Pirates were already dazzled by the gold, silver, and jewels piled up in the cabin. Although these treasures had all been shrunk by Ripley's ability, their sheer quantity was overwhelming. Even shrunk dozens of times over, they still filled a corner of the cabin.
"Boss, we have struck it rich!"
A pirate clutched jewels in his hands, saying excitedly.
Although he did not know why these jewels were all as small as mosquito legs, their quantity was staggering!
This was without them seeing the luxury goods piled on the other side, all high-end items only Celestial Dragons could afford. Even a little bit leaked out would cause a frenzy among ordinary nobles in this world.
However, even if they had seen them, with their limited knowledge, they probably would not understand what those rice-grain-sized luxury items were for.
At this moment, Rocks had already silently appeared behind one of the Red Heart Pirates.
Drawing the blade from his waist from behind.
One slash.
A pirate fell to the ground.
