"Good kid!" his instructor laughed and continued his attack with a kunai.

Sparks flew as the two engaged in a fierce taijutsu exchange. Inoshita Rino was an extremely experienced ninja. It was only due to his age and old injuries that his strength was slightly less than that of an average Chunin. "I said, you've graduated, you brat!" his instructor said faintly.
Shangguan Mo's lip twitched, a sense of absurdity washing over him. "How did I graduate? I haven't even taken the graduation exam yet!"
Taking a deep breath, Inoshita Rino's expression turned serious. "This was the village leader's decision. The ninja world has become unstable again. There have been skirmishes on the borders of several great nations, and the scent of war is in the air. On top of that, ever since the leader was seriously injured, his health has been deteriorating..."
He fell silent. "You should understand what I mean. The leader's decision has a deep meaning. He has high hopes for you, my boy..."
