Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - The Truth part 1

Time: Hour 10

Location: Arena Hall of Poxiria

Match: Bracket 1 – Match 35

Luci Avero Fet vs Defera

⚔️ Battle Begins

Defera enters the cage wearing a sharp red dress, her red hair flowing like flame. A sniper-class combatant, she activates her left-hand shield and propels herself airborne.

From mid-air, she launches 5 AI snipe bullets diagonally toward Lucifer.

Lucifer reacts instantly—shooting 5 arrows in a split-second, precisely destroying every incoming bullet. Simultaneously, he raises his defensive shield, blocking residual impact.

Defera follows up with a Mist Bullet technique—still airborne—shrouding the arena's upper zone.

📸 Lucifer shifts upward, moving across the top bars of the cage, then drops into a downward angle—activating his signature:

Phoenix Split + Arrow Rain Protocol

Arrows flood from above. The mist swirls. Shields crumble. One arrow fragment pierces from nowhere—striking Defera hard.

She collapses as the fog clears.

Crowd stunned.

📢 Referee Announcement:

"Winner of Match 35 — Luci Avero Fet!"

Lucifer steps to the mic:

"This is an advanced archer technique. Normally, snipers hide in trees. I used the upper cage as cover.

Thank you — have a nice day."

Next Match Update:

After 1 hour: Semifinals Match 3 — Luci Avero Fet vs Gareta Kios

Semifinals Match 3

Luci Avero Fet vs Gareta Kios

Gareta Kios steps into the cage—a seasoned fighter draped in faded yellow robes, no shield, but wielding hook gear with unsettling precision.

The Clash Begins

Lucifer opens with a barrage of arrows—no hesitation, no breathing room.

But Gareta dodges with uncanny ease, chuckling:

"Oh hey… nice try."

In one swift motion, he hooks the Phoenix Bow, pulling it from Lucifer's grasp.

Lucifer lunges to retrieve it—but Gareta's already closing in, hooking the cage to maneuver quickly across the battlefield.

Karate strikes rain down.

Lucifer counters barehanded, absorbing the pressure, then kicks the bow back into flight.

Gareta reacts—hooking again—sending the Phoenix Bow straight toward Lucifer's airborne frame.

Just as the bow nears Gareta's face, Lucifer unleashes:

Split Arrow Protocol

The arrow fractures mid-air.

 Direct hit.

Gareta collapses. The cage goes silent.

📢 Referee Announcement:

"Winner — Luci Avero Fet!"

🎙️ Lucifer grabs the mic:

"It's not some special technique. It's just a formula applied.

He took my bow. So I made sure it hit him like a gun—triggered in reverse."

Final Match Announcement

Bracket 1 – Final Match

Luci Avero Fet vs Hazelia

Tonight – Hour 7

The announcer warns:

"If you have a job tonight, the match will be postponed."

But then...

Café Owner Zebeth chimes in:

"No delay. Luci fights tonight."

Lucifer replies with a grin:

"Alright. I'm ready."

Location: Commentator's Room

Hazelia sits calmly, brushing dust off her silver wrist guard. Cameras roll. The room's quiet, but her words carry strength.

"I'm ready. I'm not here to worry about winning or losing," Hazelia says with a soft smile. "That newbie—Luci—he handled Gareta brilliantly."

She glances at the screens, replaying clips from Match 35 and the semifinal.

"This whole bracket isn't about ego. We're learning battle styles. There's so much still unexplored—techniques we haven't even unlocked yet."

Her voice grows more assured.

"Even if I lose, I'll still advance to the Grand Arena. It's just 10 days away, and we've progressed so fast. I'm grateful for that."

Then, almost whispering:

"I don't care about beating Luci. I know Dirak's weakness now… and when the real Arena opens, I'll crush him."

She leans back into the shadowed chair. Her eyes—half anticipation, half calm—gaze into the distance.

"Let's just finish what we started."

Location: Commentator's Room

Setting: Ilivain Country, Morleus Town, Teratos Earth

Luci Avero Fet, fully stepping into his true role as Lucifer Kaito, sits before the arena cameras—composed, deliberate.

"Today marks the end of the arena qualifiers," he says, voice steady. "In the final match… I'll show you who I am."

He looks directly into the lens.

"Not to the world. Just to my team—those who've traveled this path with me.

The real truth behind what we've been hiding."

Gasps ripple through the viewing hall.

Viron steps up post-interview

"What's your plan, Lucifer?" he asks.

Lucifer turns to him.

"I'll be removing the disguise… only during the final qualifier.

I've already informed Kuro—he's on his way."

Viron stiffens.

Lucifer continues, his eyes scanning a projected map of Morleus Town:

"This isn't my world—but it is a world. Teratos Earth is no different from Tera.

This land holds more mana than most people realize. They're advanced…

But they've forgotten how to see."

He picks up a basic training bow and smirks.

"I'll be using this in the final. No enchanted weapon. No tricks.

Because it's time they learned what magic really is."

Viron stares, puzzled but shaken.

"Why hide all this until now? It feels… wasted."

Lucifer replies simply:

"If we want access to the real case today, we must act.

Waiting 10 more days is the real waste.

So let's begin our true task—starting with this final."

His hand clenches around the bow grip.

"Let's show them the forgotten art. Let's remind Teratos Earth…

that mana still flows."

Hazelia stands tall—well-equipped with AI armor and an AI pickaxe gleaming under the arena lights.

Across from her, Luci Avero Fet enters calmly, carrying only a normal bow with no arrows.

Judge Dirak leans forward, smirking at the others.

"See his overconfidence…"

Just then—an arrow appears by his wish. No one speaks. The audience gasps.

Hazelia launches her attack immediately:

A swift strike to the left—Luci dodges. A sharp jab to the right—Luci dodges again.

Then—

Lucifer activates a light magic circle.

"Circle 4: Light Arrow Lite."

 Light magic surges.

Four arrows shimmer into existence.

Everyone is stunned—an arrow materializes in his hand, summoned from nowhere.

Lucifer raises his bow and fires the light arrow straight.

Hazelia blocks!

She uses her shield and counters with her weapon.

But—

 Her weapon shatters on impact.

Her shield splinters and collapses.

Hazelia faints instantly, dropping to the ground.

📢 Referee declares:

"Winner — Luci Avero Fet!"

But Lucifer walks forward, gripping the mic.

"Wrong. The winner is not Luci Avero Fet.

That's just a fake name."

He pauses, his voice cold and clear.

"I am Lucifer Kaito. A Magical Detective. Rookie Rank — 2200.

From Earth Tera, Continent — Zeno.

My father: Martin Kaito, angel race.

My mother: Ilvana Krakeus, from the abyssal race.

I am a hybrid angel."

The stadium falls silent.

"Timeline: 10th month, Ruby year.

I am head of the Royal Detective Agency.

My right hand is Viron — vampire race."

He glances at the crowd.

"And all of you? You're fans of Kurogane, right?

His real name is Detective Kuro, demon race.

Rookie Rank — 2.

He is my father's assistant."

Lucifer turns to face the arena.

"We came here for a case. The Missing Train Case.

If you have questions… speak one by one."

Dirak

steps forward, face tense.

"Then why did you reveal this now?"

Lucifer Kaito replies calmly, voice echoing across the crowd:

"Because this is the final qualifier.

The whole world is watching.

And according to Detective Law from my world—

When a case demands our full power,

We must reveal our true identities."

He clenches his fist.

"If I need full power to solve this,

Then I reveal myself now."

He turns to Dirak.

"Now—hand over all missing case files.

I'm going to track down the Missing Train.

If similar incidents occurred here, I'll find them too."

Dirak nods gravely.

"Yes. In Future Stock, there are three unsolved cases—

All in the same location."

He takes a step toward Lucifer.

"Come to my house tomorrow.

As of now, you are a full-fledged detective."

Turning to the crowd:

"And any questions? Ask me tomorrow.

As mayor—this is my responsibility."
