The simple meal quickly came to an end.
Although this elven lord held a high position, he was very approachable. Honestly, before coming here, Levi wasn't even sure if he'd be able to meet him.
He completely hadn't expected to be personally received.
Perhaps Rivendell hadn't had human visitors for a long time, or perhaps the lord with powerful abilities could vaguely sense Levi's titles, making him somewhat curious.
But regardless, this was just a small episode in his long life, or perhaps just an inconspicuous little note.
After chatting briefly and indicating that Levi could tour around freely, Elrond left.
That evening, Lindir arranged accommodations for him. Levi lay comfortably on the luxurious large bed, sighing with emotion... truly worthy of elven craftsmanship, this was more comfortable than any bed he'd ever slept in.
The night passed quickly.
Early that morning, as soon as he stepped outside, he felt many gazes directed at him.
Turning his head, he found several elves looking at him curiously.
Obviously, news of Levi's arrival and deeds had spread.
Noticing he was being observed, he fearlessly stared back along their gazes.
It had to be said that elves were truly blessed with natural advantages.
Thanks to their long lifespans, they had ample time to study various skills, and with just a little effort over the long years, they could become hexagonal warriors.
Moreover, they were all handsome men and beautiful women, pleasing to the eye.
Also, elves had a health limit of 30 points.
"Greetings to you, adventurer who has traveled far. Is there any news from the human towns to the west?"
Finally, an elf couldn't contain his curiosity and approached to strike up a conversation.
"As always, people live their normal lives. There's nothing noteworthy happening."
"I heard you single-handedly defeated a cavalry unit. Is that true?"
"I suppose so."
"So it really is true... Do you know magic?"
"I suppose so, but defeating that squad relied more on a little strategy and luck."
And cheats.
"Remarkable." The elf expressed genuine admiration.
"A new human star is rising."
He asked, "Will you be staying here for a while?"
"If possible, I'd be very happy to," Levi replied.
"That couldn't be better. By the way, if you don't mind, I can show you around where we live. Our land is beautiful and safe... you won't find any evil here."
"That would be troublesome for you."
A tour guide had arrived.
"I haven't asked your name yet."
"Aglar."
"Levi."
Mountains, water, forests, waterfalls, grand palaces, small inns, farms, and pastures... all beautiful scenery, natural and artificial, seemed to exist here. If you wanted it, you could always find it.
Although it lacked some of the tranquility of night, Rivendell during the day was obviously more beautiful. Levi couldn't help but sigh, "It's truly beautiful. I've never seen such scenery. After seeing the views here, I don't even want to go home."
The tour guide Aglar beside him smiled and nodded, quite proud.
Ding...
When passing a building, the sudden sound of hammering attracted his attention.
Following Levi's gaze, Aglar introduced, "That's the smithy. Last night's battle caused some wear to weapons and armor, and our craftsmen are performing repairs and maintenance."
Oh? Elven equipment.
He said with some interest, "May I go in and observe?"
"Of course, you are Lord Elrond's designated guest and have this right."
Clang!
When Levi slowly walked into the smithy, he saw an elf hammering a brand-new long sword.
Seeing visitors, the elven smith stopped his work and greeted them.
"This is Lord Elrond's guest, Levi. He's very interested in our forging."
"I see. Greetings to you." The smith was polite and courteous.
"As you can see, I'm forging a new long sword. To keep my skills from getting rusty, I often take on some repair and forging work."
"May I look at this sword?"
"Of course."
With permission granted, Levi gently picked up the gleaming long sword from the forge.
[Elven Steel Sword] Attack +7.
Huh?
"Are all the swords you use of this quality?"
"Yes, is there a problem?"
"No, no, it's very good. I just wanted to say your craftsmanship is quite exquisite and amazing."
Outwardly calm, Levi was actually screaming internally about how terrifying this was.
Wait, guys, your ordinary weapons are all diamond sword level!
What material is this sword made of to be so hard?
"Thank you for your praise. Our techniques indeed have a long heritage and contain considerable wisdom."
While speaking, the smith began explaining the history of elven forging techniques to Levi, from the establishment of the Jewelers' Guild to the many elven craftsmen who later migrated to Rivendell. There were too many stories to tell, and he listened with great interest.
It was said that just this forge's history was longer than many human kingdoms had existed.
Levi stroked this forge with its distinctly elven aesthetic characteristics, marveling at how everything here had such ancient origins.
[Special Work Block Detected: "Rivendell Forge"]
["Alloy Forging" Mod Installed]
[Rivendell Faction Crafting Recipes Unlocked]
Huh?
HUH!
Levi suddenly froze, looking at the forge before him and gasping.
A new mod had appeared!
"What's wrong?"
Noticing his abnormality, Aglar quickly asked.
"Nothing, I was just shocked by how many years this forge has existed. It's much older than I am."
"Don't worry about it so much, Levi. In elven lands, any object might have a lengthy history. For you humans, it might be hard to get used to, but for us it's quite ordinary."
"Hmm, I understand."
While responding to the elf's words, his thoughts had actually drifted far away.
He opened his crafting table and found a series of items with elven tags had been added.
Elven steel sword, elven spear, elven armor series...
To craft these items required a material called "elven steel." As for how to obtain elven steel...
Looking at the crafting table, Levi fell into thought.
Elven steel required using a newly unlocked block called an "alloy furnace," throwing in coal and iron, plus a bit of experience to produce it.
He had a feeling that experience might play the role of "magic" in forging, since many things forged by elves contained magic.
If you only threw in coal and iron without consuming experience, you'd produce ordinary steel, which was stronger than iron but not as good as elven steel.
Recently, he had often been troubled because his combat intensity was too high. Iron armor alone was no longer sufficient, and he really couldn't get diamonds. Sometimes he even thought about going directly to the Lonely Mountain to try stealing some from under the dragon's watch.
But now, with the alloy forging mod loaded, Levi suddenly felt the future was bright. If he could craft equipment comparable to diamond armor, he wouldn't necessarily have to risk angering the Lonely Mountain's big boss.
