Hector fixed his eyes on the pressure points rushing toward him. He figured it was Bill's dog, so he slowly took a deep breath to steady himself.
Then, in a flash, he triggered his mana and released it all at once. Instantly, his action sent chills through everyone present, as if they had just sensed something terrifying.
But in truth, it was only his own sensation. The others quickly brushed it off as a short-lived illusion.
At that moment, though, something shifted in Hector. His gaunt body suddenly swelled as each muscle bulged and shrank nonstop for five seconds. Then, as time passed, his frame gradually stabilized under some unknown power.
He was no longer just a frail young man, though he remained blind. The muscles outlined beneath his thin T-shirt made him look manly and powerful.
"Show off! Attack him!" Bill shouted, brushing off Hector's sudden change.
The dog roared viciously and lunged at Hector.
