Slateport City.
The riot of the Primals had happened entirely too suddenly.
As a result, a massive number of citizens were still stranded in Slateport City. There simply hadn't been enough time to evacuate the entire metropolis.
Watching the terrified citizens fleeing in a panic under the desperate guidance of Officer Jenny and the local League investigators, Sam's expression hardened.
It was unclear when Rayquaza would arrive to stop this.
Sam knew he couldn't just stand there and wait.
If he didn't act immediately, Slateport City would be reduced to dust, caught in the crossfire between fire and water.
"Sam."
Cynthia's beautiful grey eyes moved to Sam's face.
At the same time, she reached into her pocket and pulled out the pitch-black Dark Stone.
"I know."
Seeing Cynthia's determined expression, Sam knew her character perfectly.
The Champion of Sinnoh would never sit idly by while a city was destroyed.
Sam quickly reached for his belt, unclipping the standard Poké Ball holding Kyurem, and pulled the Light Stone from his pocket.
He turned to the Hoenn Alliance leaders.
"Wallace! Steven! Sabrina!" Sam shouted over the roaring wind.
"You three lead the Elite Four to the city limits! Use your Pokémon to resist the encroaching magma and the tsunamis. Build walls of ice and earth!"
"Buy the citizens of Slateport City the time they need to evacuate!"
"Right!" Wallace agreed immediately, his tactical mind catching up. But then he hesitated.
"What about you, Sam? What are you going to do?"
Sam replied without looking back, his eyes fixed on the battling behemoths.
"Cynthia and I are going to the perimeter to intercept the shockwaves of the Primal battle!"
Sam and Cynthia looked at each other.
Cynthia nodded slightly, her aura flaring as she prepared to summon Zekrom.
Hearing Sam's plan, Wallace quickly stepped forward to stop him.
"Sam, wait! That's too risky!"
Since the events in the Unova Region had just concluded and the information was highly classified, Wallace and the Hoenn Elite Four had absolutely no idea that Sam and Cynthia had subdued Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom.
In Wallace's opinion, Sam's Pokémon team was incredibly strong. He even commanded a young Lugia.
But a Lugia that hadn't fully matured yet couldn't possibly compare to the apocalyptic might of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre!
Steven stepped forward as well, wanting to join the persuasion.
But before Steven could speak, the space in front of them erupted with overwhelming energy.
Three massive figures materialized on the battlefield, radiating absolute cold, blinding flames, and terrifying lightning.
"ROOOAAAR!!!!"
The 50-meter-tall Ice Dragon, Kyurem, was the first to let out a freezing, brutal roar.
Immediately following it were two more dragon cries, one melodious and holy, the other deep and thunderous.
"GRAAAH~!!!!"
"ROOOAAAR!!!!"
Reshiram and Zekrom emerged from the Light and Dark Stones.
The Dragon Trio of Unova had gathered on the Hoenn coastline!
"This... are these the legendary dragons?" Wallace looked at the three terrifying, god-tier Pokémon in absolute disbelief.
"It is!" Steven, who had traveled through the Unova Region extensively, confirmed it, his eyes wide.
"That is the Dragon Trio! The ancient dragons of Unova!"
The Hoenn Elite Four stood frozen, completely overwhelmed by the sheer concentration of mythical power.
Wallace finally understood why Sam was so confident in his ability to hold the line.
Shocked but re-energized, Wallace quickly reacted.
"Steven! Let's go!!"
"Right!!" Steven nodded.
He summoned his Metagross, leading the Hoenn Elite Four back into the urban area to assist in the evacuation.
Before leaving, Sabrina, who was usually cold and emotionally detached, stopped for a moment.
"Sam. Cynthia." She looked at them with genuine concern.
"Stay safe, both of you."
"We will," Sam replied lightly, his focus already shifting to the battle ahead.
Cynthia, on the other hand, reached out and gave Sabrina's hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Don't worry about us," Cynthia smiled confidently.
"We'll be fine. Go help the people."
"Okay." Sabrina squeezed Cynthia's hand back before teleporting away with her Alakazam to join the rescue efforts.
Sam didn't pay attention to the rare moment of camaraderie between the two women.
He was currently holding up the DNA Splicers.
"Blazing Fire! Immortal Ice!" Sam shouted, his voice amplified by Aura.
"Heed my call!!"
"FUSE!"
"GRAAAH~!!!" "ROOOAAAR~!!!"
The holy White Dragon and the tyrannical Ice Dragon both roared in unison.
Driven by the power of the DNA Splicers, the two massive beasts were engulfed in blinding white light.
The light swirled and condensed, merging the two entities into a single, towering form.
White Kyurem descended upon the battlefield!!
The two fundamentally incompatible energies, absolute zero ice and world-burning fire, were harmoniously and perfectly combined within a single body.
"ROOOAAAR!!!!"
White Kyurem's roar was a terrifying, awe-inspiring blend of Reshiram's melodious grace and Kyurem's brutal tyranny.
Standing in the chaotic weather of torrential rain and scorching heat, the fused dragon looked terrifyingly beautiful.
Wallace, Steven, and the others, who had just begun to run toward the city, couldn't help but look back at this weird, impossible scene.
They gazed at the graceful yet furious White Kyurem in sheer awe.
Even Cynthia was shocked. It was the first time she had seen Sam fuse the two dragons.
The sheer, overwhelming power radiating from White Kyurem was suffocating!
Out in the ocean and on the boiling coastline, even Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre momentarily stopped their fight.
They turned their massive heads to look at the White Kyurem, sensing an aura that was absolutely not weaker than their own.
But the pause was brief.
The hatred between the two rivals was too deep.
Even the sudden appearance of a fused Dragon God could only distract them for a second. They cared far more about tearing each other apart!
"ROOOAAAR!!!!"
Primal Groudon roared, communicating with the tectonic plates beneath the earth.
It summoned a massive, glowing stone pillar that pierced the sky. Precipice Blades!
"SHREEEEE!!!!"
Primal Kyogre transformed the surrounding ocean into pure, weaponized energy.
It sprayed out a dense, blinding beam of destructive water. Origin Pulse!
The Primal Twin Gods re-engaged, their attacks colliding with apocalyptic force.
As the shockwaves rolled toward the city, Sam didn't hesitate. He pulled the remaining Poké Balls from his belt and unleashed his entire team.
Flashes of red light illuminated the stormy beach.
Lucario, Darkrai, the young Lugia, and the giant Dragonite all appeared beside White Kyurem.
"Lu-cah!!"
Lucario's aura flared wildly. The spikes on its hands and chest elongated as it instantly entered its Mega Evolution form, its red eyes filled with absolute fearlessness.
"Hiss..."
Darkrai, who was usually calm and shadowy, condensed a thick, ominous fog around its body, subconsciously accelerating its energy output to match the tension of the battlefield.
"Liiii~!!"
Although it hadn't fully grown up yet, little Lugia was still a Guardian of the Sea.
Its intelligent eyes were full of arrogance and fighting spirit.
It refused to cower before the pressure of the Primal Gods!
"Rooar!!"
The giant Dragonite dutifully stepped to the front of the formation. Usually greedy and somewhat naive, its demeanor completely changed.
Its massive wings flapped steadily, showing its razor-sharp focus and readiness to defend its master at all costs.
Not a single one of Sam's Pokémon was afraid of the world-ending aura radiating from Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.
On the contrary, every single one of them was overflowing with fighting spirit!
This was their pride.
This was exactly why Sam was so careful about which Pokémon he chose to tame.
Perhaps their individual strength was weak compared to the Primals.
But they would never retreat just because the enemy was strong!
