Chapter 26: Unexpected Experience Points
Looking at the puppet master lying dead on the ground, Kyosuke finally let out a sigh of relief.
With a small burst of chakra, he extinguished the lingering flames on his clothes.
Just as he was about to head back to check on Fugaku, an unexpected system notification made him stop in his tracks.

Killing enemies gives experience points? he thought, running toward Fugaku's battlefield while carefully reading the detailed description.
Through the system's explanation, Kyosuke learned that the experience gained from killing an enemy was equal to the enemy's personal level. This meant that killing a Level 47 puppet master would give him 47 experience points.
However, two conditions could change this ratio.
One was killing an enemy with a lower level than his own. In that case, he wouldn't gain any experience points.
The other was when the killed enemy's level was more than three levels higher than his. For each level of difference, he would gain an additional point of experience.
So, the reason the Level 47 puppet master gave him 84 experience points was because, in addition to the base 47 points, it also included an extra 37 points for the level difference.
Kyosuke was only Level 10, meaning he had jumped a whopping 37 levels to kill his enemy.

This tactic was their famous combination. That was why these two had stayed behind to deal with the powerful Fugaku, while letting their other comrades go after the target.
Although the enemy's strength and resilience were somewhat beyond their expectations, they were confident that once this move was used, the enemy would surely not be able to withstand it.
