Chapter 130 - Chapter 130: We Meet Again

Inside this isolated tower with no outside support, there was usually nothing resembling entertainment—nor was there any real news.

So within half a day, the entire Tower of Heaven had already heard the rumor:

Wes Elwin was a powerful wizard capable of altering the weather.

However, that excitement didn't last long. A far more important piece of news quickly stole everyone's attention.

The Tower of Heaven was about to be completed!

And just as the Tower neared completion, it welcomed a very special guest—the Fairy Queen, Erza Scarlet.

But Erza no longer looked like her usual bold, confident self. Instead, she seemed drained, dispirited—even wounded in spirit.

She followed behind a handsome, dark-skinned man, her expression hollow. That man was exceptionally enthusiastic, constantly explaining the Tower of Heaven's features to Erza.

Erza barely reacted to anything he said—until she saw Wes.

"You—how are you here?!"

She shouted in shock, instinctively activating her Requip magic. A long sword materialized in her hand, its tip aimed straight at Wes.

The dark-skinned man blinked in surprise.

"You know him?"

"Sho, he's dangerous!"

Erza quickly pushed Sho behind her. But Sho's expression softened; he gently lowered her arm and said:

"He's a mage hired by Jellal. He won't harm you."

At the mention of Jellal, Erza's eyes visibly dimmed. She immediately withdrew her magic, lowered her head, and silently walked past Wes without another word.

Looks like that lively bunch from Fairy Tail will be arriving soon… Perfect. I can use them to test my newly upgraded wand.

And just as Wes expected, less than a day later, chaos erupted inside the Tower.

"Hurry—someone broke in!"

"Damn it! At a time like this… don't tell me it's the Council!"

The guards rushed to respond to the sudden crisis.

Hearing the commotion outside his door, Wes instantly knew Fairy Tail had arrived. But he didn't move right away—instead choosing to observe.

He raised his right hand, and several floating orbs drifted out the door. They were surveillance devices Wes had personally developed.

Wes sat calmly in his chair as several virtual screens materialized in the air before him, all displaying the intruders' movements with perfect clarity.

On the screens appeared several familiar figures: Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and the blue-haired girl—

It should be Juvia.

Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Juvia split up to fight separately, each soon encountering an opponent of their own.

Wes watched every battle through the hovering projections, studying the details with great interest.

The footage showed intense clashes throughout the tower, but thanks to Fairy Tail's unyielding determination, each of them eventually defeated their foes.

Then, a new screen lit up—Ultear's slightly anxious face appeared.

"Wes, Trinity Raven and the officers have been taken out. Jellal has no one left to support him. Go stall for time on his side—quickly."

Wes leaned comfortably against the soft chair, watching Ultear's expression before speaking calmly:

"Relax. Everything is under control. No need to panic. Jellal should be able to hold out a little longer."

"Cut the crap and go help him already!"

Ultear was clearly anxious, urging Wes repeatedly.

Only then did Wes slowly rise to his feet. He walked toward the door unhurriedly and said

"Though I'm not sure they'll be happy about me interfering. This is… kind of personal business."

Ultear rolled her eyes in exasperation, clearly fed up with his attitude, and immediately cut the communication.

When Wes pushed open the heavy door and stepped into the vast top-floor chamber, Erza and Jellal were already locked in a fierce battle.

Their figures crossed rapidly in midair, each collision erupting with violent waves of energy.

Wes didn't intervene. He simply stood to the side, quietly observing—as if waiting for the right moment.

Jellal, relying solely on black magic, was fighting Erza evenly.

When Erza noticed Wes's arrival, she accelerated her attacks—but her impatience only opened a perfect opportunity for Jellal to counter.

Soon, the other Fairy Tail members arrived in a hurry, wanting to help Erza, but Wes stepped in to block them.

"Everyone—this path is closed."

Eager to test the power of his new wand, Wes didn't waste time. He raised it, chanting:

"Thunderous Might."

In an instant, dark clouds surged overhead, blotting out the sky. Thunder rumbled, and electricity flickered violently through the clouds.

Impulsive as ever, Natsu tried to charge straight past him—but before he took more than a few steps—

CRACK!

A blinding bolt of lightning struck the ground right in front of him, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Everyone from Fairy Tail felt the overwhelming static in the air—their scalps tingled, and their hair stood on end.

Wes lifted his wand high, traced a graceful arc through the air, and then brought it down with force.

The sky began to rain.

Except… these raindrops were bolts of lightning, crashing down one after another and turning the night sky bright as day.

The Fairy Tail members paled. The attack was so overwhelming they didn't even have time to think of how to dodge it.

Juvia reacted first.

She spread a barrier of flowing water to shield everyone. Unfortunately… she overlooked one crucial fact:

Water conducts electricity.

CRACK!

A lightning bolt shot straight toward the water barrier.

"Ice-Make: Rampart!!"

At the critical moment, Gray struck. Layer upon layer of thick ice walls formed instantly, perfectly intercepting the lightning and blocking the deadly strike from reaching Juvia.

"Gray-sama!"

Juvia clasped her hands to her chest, eyes filled with adoration and gratitude as she gazed at him.

But Gray had no time for her burning stare. His eyes were fixed on the lightning still raining down from above.

"Stay sharp—this isn't over!"

He warned everyone loudly as more lightning hammered down onto his ice barricade.

But the difference in magical power between Gray and Wes was far too great. Even at full strength, Gray's defenses lasted less than ten seconds before the lightning shredded through them.

Just as the icy walls were about to collapse, Natsu leapt forward, placing himself at the front of the group.
