Wes calmly reached into his robes and slowly pulled out a round orb.
The moment it appeared, the orb unfurled a pair of nimble wings and fluttered effortlessly around Wes.
He then activated the magical runes etched into his robe.
Brilliant golden light burst from the runes in dazzling flashes.
"Biu~~biu!"
Jets of high-speed water shot toward Wes like bullets, sharp and deadly.
But Wes reacted instantly—his figure vanished as he teleported away, narrowly dodging the attack.
Seeing this, the Wind Demon swept his arms outward, summoning a raging windstorm.
The howling gale swept up stones and grit, empowering them until they became like cannonballs, launching a brutal assault on Wes.
Under the relentless two-on-one attack, Wes struggled to maintain his defense.
Thankfully, his enchanted robe blocked several deadly strikes just in time.
However, the golden glow of the magic runes began to dim under the repeated impacts.
"Did the cowboy get senile or something? He can't even take care of one demon," Wes grumbled while weaving through the deadly attacks, dodging left and right with agility.
At that moment, the roar of a shotgun echoed across the battlefield.
Carter had finished off the Earth Demon and arrived.
Caught off guard, the Wind Demon was shot down instantly.
"Glacius!"
Wes seized the opening and cast a freezing charm. The spell struck the Water Demon precisely.
Frost spread rapidly from beneath the demon's feet, covering his entire body in moments—temporarily immobilizing him.
Without hesitation, Wes sprinted toward the place where the Wind Demon had fallen.
Meanwhile, Carter cracked his long whip through the air with a sharp whoosh, striking at the Wind Demon.
But the demon, quick on his feet, managed to narrowly dodge the vicious lash.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
Wes cast another spell, successfully slowing the Wind Demon's movements.
Then, with a sharp whistle-like sound, the winged orb that had been hovering by Wes shot forward, leaving behind flickering afterimages as it zoomed toward the Wind Demon—and slammed into his back with pinpoint precision.
"Nice one, wizard!!" Carter shouted.
Seizing the moment, he lashed his whip like a striking serpent, entangling the Wind Demon tightly. With a fierce pull, he yanked the demon right up to his face.
"Look into my eyes, you bastard!!"
The Wind Demon's gaze locked with the flaming skull that was Carter's face.
A twisted look of agony spread across the demon's features. He opened his mouth, as if to scream.
But only silence filled the air as raw terror spread around them.
A moment later, his body crumbled into ash and vanished without a trace.
Such was the terrible power of the Ghost Rider's Penance Stare—those who locked eyes with him would have their souls judged. For the guilty, there was only one fate: annihilation.
"Didn't expect working with you to be this smooth, wizard," Carter said, turning his flaming skull toward Wes.
Wes quickly looked away. He knew all too well—he wasn't exactly innocent himself.
"One demon left," Carter muttered, lowering the brim of his hat. Flames of battle still burned in his eyes. "I wouldn't mind taking down one more."
The Water Demon, still frozen in place, watched in horror as Carter slowly approached. Panic set in, and he desperately tried to break free.
At full power, the Water Demon might've been able to escape with ease.
But in his current state, survival seemed uncertain.
Carter grabbed the demon with both hands. The searing heat from his burning body melted the ice with terrifying speed.
"Time for judgment."
Before Carter could finish his sentence, a sudden, devastating strike blasted him off his feet, sending him crashing hard to the ground at Wes's feet.
Wes immediately snapped to alert, his eyes locking onto the figure descending from the sky.
The man's eyes were pitch black—like bottomless voids—and his entire body radiated a chilling aura of death.
The Water Demon, upon seeing him, instantly scurried behind the figure like a desperate child clinging to salvation.
The newcomer—Blackheart—glanced coldly at the corpses of the Earth and Wind Demons and sneered, "Pathetic."
The Water Demon cowered, not daring to make a sound.
"Wizard. Hand over the San Venganza Contract—and submit to me."
Blackheart stood with his arms crossed, exuding the arrogance of a sovereign ruler.
"Demon," Wes replied, raising his wand and pointing it at him. "This is the domain of the Sorcerer Supreme. Earth is no playground for the likes of you."
The mention of the Sorcerer Supreme gave Blackheart a flicker of hesitation.
But the moment he remembered that obtaining the San Venganza Contract would grant him power surpassing even his father's—making him the next ruler of Hell—even the Sorcerer Supreme seemed like a surmountable obstacle.
Greed and madness burned anew in his eyes.
"The Sorcerer Supreme? So what? Once I—"
Wes didn't let him finish. He had no interest in hearing a demon monologue.
He fired off a powerful Shadowless Severing Curse straight at Blackheart.
But the strike had no effect. Worse—it provoked him.
"Cunning wizard," Blackheart growled.
A dark orb filled with malevolent energy blasted toward Wes.
Wes reacted quickly, casting a deflection spell that bounced the orb aside. It struck a nearby tree—and the tree immediately withered and died.
Blackheart's face curled into a sly smile.
Wes frowned, muttering internally: 'A life-devouring attack… I definitely can't afford to get hit by that.'
By now, Carter had gotten back on his feet and resumed firing at Blackheart without hesitation.
Seizing the moment, the Water Demon transformed into a rushing torrent and charged at Wes.
Wes had no choice but to divert his attention to defend against the assault.
"Ignis Incendia!"
"Glacius!"
Fire and ice—the perfect combo for dealing with a water-based foe.
This time, however, the Water Demon didn't fight head-on. Instead, he used his agility to tie Wes down and prevent him from teaming up with Carter.
Meanwhile, Carter, fearless with his undead body, kept Blackheart under heavy fire.
"You mangy mutt—how dare you turn on your master!" Blackheart snarled at him. "You're nothing but a discarded dog my father tossed aside!"
"You're Mephisto's son?!" Carter exclaimed in shock, surprised by the demon's identity.
"Give it up, old mutt. Obey me, and I might—"
Carter responded with an even more furious barrage.
"Go to hell, demon. Taking you out is just interest on an old debt!"
His shotgun thundered over and over, echoing through the barren wasteland as if it had endless ammo.
"Old mutt!!" Blackheart was no longer able to keep up his cold façade. Rage twisted his features, and he revealed his monstrous, demonic form.
"Fool," Carter sneered, seizing the opportunity. His flaming eyes locked with Wuxin's. "Face judgment!"
But to Carter's shock—the Penance Stare didn't work.
He couldn't see Blackheart's soul.
"The fool is you," Wuxin said with a cruel smile, and with a powerful sweep of his hand, he drove his claw straight through Carter's chest.
"I have no soul."
"Impossible—"
"First you, then that wizard, then finally... my arrogant, self-righteous father."
Blackheart was reveling in his triumph—
—when suddenly, a roar like thunder split the night.
A motorcycle roared onto the scene—its design fierce, muscular, and covered in flaming hellfire. Like a bolt of lightning, it smashed into Blackheart, sending him flying.
The motorcycle skidded to a stylish stop, spinning in place before halting.
A second flaming-skulled rider dismounted and pulled Carter to his feet.
Two blazing skulls turned to face each other.
"Kin."
"Kin."
