Time soon passed, and in this void without the concept of time, five days came in the blink of an eye.
Anticipating the new change about to come, Ye Tian directly dispersed all the fog cities and creations he had created before.
Rather, in this void of endless eerie silence, a somewhat strange scene was currently unfolding.
In the center of the Void, a long table completely condensed of fog stood tall.
On its surface, all kinds of strange symbols and faces were drawn on it
At its center, a glass orb was slowly being filled with mist. It seemed that it was about to be filled any moment from now
However, even that was completely overshadowed by the pure eeriness of the table.
Looking closer, in some places, depictions of smiles, frowns, sadness, joy, all the emotions Ye Tian had experienced in this space were imprinted on the table form of art.
Just looking at it was enough to keep anyone entranced, lost in a void of thought, unable to process what they were looking at.
And on the sides of the table. An equally disturbing scene was being staged.
To the right side of the table, four seats, to the left another four seats, and at each end of the table another two seats were placed, making a total of ten seats.
However, just these seats being here was nothing to be disturbed about; the truly chilling thing was that in this void, the seats supposed to be originally empty were occupied by ten mysterious figures.
At the head of the table, wearing a circular obsidian mask with faint swirling fog patterns that pulse like a slow heartbeat, a Figure with the nameplate Eclipse sat, overlooking the whole table without the slightest movement, rings of broken silver halos floating behind his head, embodying his name.
To his right, wearing a metallic red and black mask with sharp fanged teeth along the mouth slit and horns curling backward, glowing faintly with ember veins, Wrath sat equally moved.
Next, as if following some order, the remaining figures all materialized nameplates in front of them, stating their identities.
Wearing a porcelain white half-mask covering the top half of its face. Butterfly-wing patterns shimmer across the surface, shifting constantly. This was lust
With a Mask made of gold-plated bone, with coin-slot eyes and a jagged-toothed mouth permanently grinning.- Greed
A Silver mirrored mask with no facial features, only a reflective surface that distorts whatever is seen in it - Envy
A Circular mask shaped like a wide-open mouth with multiple concentric teeth layers. -Gluttony
A Smooth, glass-like mask with a cracked clock face embedded over the forehead. The mouth and eyes are sewn shut with fog threads - Sloth
A regal, flawlessly symmetrical silver mask, but with the crown shattered and jagged edges left atop - Pride
A cracked black skull mask with burned-out eyes, and ash constantly falling from the sockets - Ruin
A Porcelain mask with a spiral etched around a single central eye, which pulses like it's alive. Hairline cracks spread from it constantly - Obsession.
One by one, these mysterious figures all stared at each other without saying a single word
It wasn't until a certain amount of time had passed that, with a tinge of exasperation and frustration in his tone, Eclpise, seated at the head of the table, finally spoke up.
He used his right hand to stroke the mask on his face. His hands slowly swirled along the fog pattern on it
Everywhere his finger traced, that part of the mask disintegrated into fog, revealing a familiar face.
With pure black eyes that mirrored the void, and silky, long black hair that rivaled the night sky.
It was none other than Ye Tian who was on the brink of madness just a few days ago.
Not only that, but with the removal of his mask, the other nine figures also removed theirs, each revealing his exact face.
"Sigh…even though I said I'd stop trying to create life after the failed attempts last time, what the hell am I doing now?"
"What counsel of Fog, what seven deadly sins, either I've currently run mad, or my inner chunni is coming out."
Muttering to himself, Ye Tian looked at the scene around him with melancholy. With frowned brows and one hand supporting his chin, he stared straight at the almost full crystal ball as the thought back to the past few days.
A few days ago, with renewed hope of escaping the fog, he couldn't help but imagine all the things he would do once he stepped out
Perhaps use his newfound abilities to dominate the world, or maybe create a hidden organization to control the world
However, for a hidden organization, what kind of council of ten, seven deadly sins, worshippers of the Fog
They all make me seem like I'm some sort of villain!
Screaming in his mind, Ye Tian could swear that he definitely wasn't some sort of villain; however, it seemed all his abilities and ideas didn't seem to be exactly the hero kind
Thinking of this, Ye Tian silently decided that unless provoked, he wouldn't go down the path of the villain
Especially when he thought of the fact that he had saved a child from death before dying and coming here.
Completely forgetting that not long ago, he wished that he had never done that, and let the child die.
"Anyway, it should be almost time. Any second from now!"
Staring at the glass orb, which represented the completion of the fog, under Ye Tian's stern gaze, it finally reached its peak
*BOOM!*
In reaching its peak, at a speed that made Ye Tian unable to react, the glass orb suddenly shattered into millions of pieces.
And from this explosion, a gray beam of light directly shot out, heading directly into his mind.
Under this light, huge streams of information flooded his consciousness, not only that, but some memories of another person named Ye Tian also began to flow into his sea of consciousness.
Overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information, Ye Tian could only clutch his head with his two arms as he struggled to grit out one word.
"Fuck!"
