Ash crashed into his bed and couldn't even move a muscle, for the first time in a long time he genuinely felt like he was going to die as he was aching everywhere and his instructor whose name happened to be Kruger appeared to be the strange lady who melted out the punishment to him for being late and she was the main cause of his predicament.
If there was a word he wanted to use to describe her, it was that she was as ruthless as they can be, pushing everyone to the limit, most especially him. For some reason, he felt like she had some sort of problem with him.
He thought about the fact that a member of his family had paid her to be cruel, but shook it off since he could tell that she was too smart and clever for that.
He began listing and ruling out all options that would have made her hate him but none clicked not even the fact of his file which showed him being a murderer as his reason for sentence even though it was plausible it had a flaw in it which was the fact that he wasn't the only one brought here for murder although he was the youngest here it wasn't going to make sense if that was the sole reason for the hate.
After thinking about it for a while, he decided to throw it to the back of his head for later thought, turning his attention to something he had noticed earlier but lacked the motivation to check.
There was a small brown box in his room. This time it was on the table next to the bed, he checked the box and found just two bottles of pills; one of them was lemon green while the other was blue, and a handwritten note under it which read
` I had these pills prepared for you. The green pill is a body enhancement pill; its primary use is to double the changes your body goes through, while the blue pill acts as a pain reliever. Ensure to use both to get the best possible effects.
The moment he was done with the letter, he took the pills and threw them in a dark corner where he was sure he wasn't going to be looking at …. ever, it was not a mistake he wanted to make
He wasn't sure of who was sending it, so it meant that it was dangerous; it could be a kind of poison that worked miracles, but he knew the consequences of doubling the effects of muscle wear and tear, which wouldn't be obvious at first, but in the long run was injurious to one's health.
And hell he wasn't even sure if it was really what was in the description, if were to be a poison of some sort it wasn't to kill him but to have a certain effect on hm since he still had something there needed but on second thought he really couldn't rule out the fact that he could he disposed of at any time.
Just thinking about this made him shiver. He had to start thinking of ways in which he could survive in this place because many things were after his life, not to mention the frontline heck, even the training was somewhat suicidal if he had to be sincere with himself.
While he thought about this, his consciousness began to slip slowly, drifting into sleep.
*******************
Ash made the same mistake he had made the previous day, and this time he was given double the punishment he had received. And with the mental exhaustion that he had barely recovered from, he was so close to passing out.
The training routine were somehow doubled thanks to the fact that somehow someone managed to piss instructor Kruger off and she was taking it out on everyone even taking out ten minutes of their resting time which was thirty minutes in the first place, leaving them little time to enjoy their meal in the cafeteria and rest before going back for another round of torture.
"hey "a voice called out to him coming a man who looked like one in his twenties, very young almost looking like a teenager walked towards Ash who this time was sitting in a secluded part of the training ground not to be seen by anyone but somehow the man found him and from the looks of it he was up to no good.
Ash didn't answer, just looking at him with an odd expression, having his head tilted to the right as if trying to assess what sort of person was coming to meet him, something a child wouldn't be doing, but he wasn't one in the first place.
"Can't you answer?" he asked as he got closer to Ash, who still didn't reply, staring at him with a calm expression, and this made him annoyed, and Ash, being good at what he does, decided to use silence, thinking that they most time go away on their own.
It was when he got close that Ash knew that it was going to be much more difficult to get rid of such kind of idiots "hey I'm talking to you "the man said getting down to ash level with a smug look on his face "don't scare the kid too much …... he might piss himself " another person not too far chipped in making his weird smile grow even more and it was infuriating just looking at him.
"a little birdie told me something ... want to know ?" the man asked and Ash already knows where this conversation was going so just scoffed preparing to leave, usually it was going to be the man talking about him being a royal in a filthy place or being a murderer at a young age or other kind of thing that they could use to tease him or make him feel bad or make other kids feel bad but he wasn't he such a place for it.
"I heard your mom was a bitch who ran away, leaving you to die. Is that true? "
