The noise of the people's cheers, as two notable boxers in the ring, It was the seventh round was over, As the two boxers headed to their corner, As their second steps up in the ring.
"Caine.. Caine! CAINE! Can you hear me!"
Caine's Pov:
As I lifted my head up and saw my coach's worried look, "You alright, kid.. come we got this!" As he said, As my Cayman clean my wounds, I tried to speak, but my voice was soft and weak, "Wh-what happened..? What round is it..?" I said with a weak voice, As my coach grabbed both of my gloves, "Hang in there kid.. The seventh round is over, He clearly has the upper hand, but he's also tired too." As my coach's glanced at my opponent, As I look at my opponent and noticed how tired he was.
The bell rang and the eight round starts, As Caine and his opponent started circling each other, Then Caine noticed his opponent steps his lead foot, and tried to throw a powerful cross, but Caine managed to block it, and counter with his own cross, connecting to his opponent's cheek, noticing his punch dazed his opponent, So he takes the moment to throw a lead and followed by a powerful hook, as he repeated this combo, until the referee stop him and made his opponent fall down to his knees, Caine went back to his corner, As the referee counted, His opponent got back up at the eight count, as the referee continued the fight. Caine put his guard up, as he cicle his opponent, His opponent go on a full attack mode and release barrage of punches around Caine's body and head.
As the crowd erupted in the cheers, As Caine kep getting hit every second, He tried to look for a opening, that's where he saw his opponent opened chin, As he put all of his weight on his back foot and throw a powerful uppercut, aiming it at his opponent's chin.
Ding Ding Ding... Ring ring ring
As the alarm goes on, Caine got up of his bed and turned off his alarm, waking up from the same dream again, As he keeps dreaming on what happened 15 years ago, That was his last fight of his career, He kept dreaming about it and visualizing that he won by knockout but the truth was, he lose that match...
As he got up and look at the picture of his and his old trainer, who died two years ago, He signed and went to shower, dress up, and drove to the gym, watch his fighter trained, His assistant approached him.
"Coach, They're here.." The Assistant said, As Caine nodded and followed the assistant to his office, there he meet three guys, the first guy was, a short but stocky built, He has
a buzz cut and he has a tanned skin, the second guy was a tall, maybe over six foot but he's very lanky and long limbs, he slightly pale and his hair is a bit long, and lastly, A Average height but athletic built man, with a brown colored skin.
Caine ask the three of them question, introduce yourself, The first one was the short stocky guy, "Sir, names Nico, I'm from the Philippines, and I trained boxing for 10 years.." Caine look at him and ask him a question, "How old are you?" Which the stocky guy replied, "38 years old.." Caine look at him, then at the taller guy.
The taller guy introduced himself, "The names Wayne, Sir, I'm from China, I tried boxing for 6 years, I won the Asian Amatuer Boxing Championship.." Caine nodded in approval, "So How old are you, Wayne?" The tall guy respond, "26 years old.." Caine nodded before looking at the last guy.
The last guy finally introduced himself, "Names Jason, I'm from Vancouver, I trained boxing for 5 years, I was the representative of Canda in the last Olympics, and won the first medal. And The Winner of the golden gloves" Caine eyes lit up with approval and interest of Jason, He ask Jason the same question, which he answered "I'm 23, Sir.." He became interested even more.
After the interview, Caine watches Jason spar with one of his fighters, which Jason outbox his sparring partner, being unpredictable and using his footwork and looking for a opportunity for a counterattack.
Caine thought to himself, he finally found the one.. but did he..
At night, As Caine was looking through the paperwork, looking through his fighters background, he happened to look upon Jason's background, he was a surprise when he read his background.
The Next Day
Caine Watches Jason spar again, "I'm going out for a bit.." Caine said, As his assistant look at him with a confused look, like something is up with him.
As Caine drive through the streets, He pass by an alleyway, And saw a golden haired boy fighting off 3 guys at once, As he beats them only with his fist, He was surprised by the boy's skill to fight off 3 guys, As the boy was about to leave the alleyway, One of the guy picks up a empty glass bottle, got up and about to smash the boys head.
But the boy quickly turned around and throw a fast lightning hook to the face, knocking the guy out and dropping the glass bottle, as it shattered, Caine got out of his car, and whistled, "You did that?" He said, As the golden haired boy turned around, "Who the hell are you, Old man?" Caine looking a bit offended by the word 'Old man', As he spoke up. "I might that old? I'm only 55 years old dammit. Anyways, Name is Caine Miller, Head Coach of That Boxing Gym few blocks away, I got to say, kid, seeing beat 3 guys, and that hook.. was impressive." The Golden haired boy look at him as he narrowed eyes towards Caine, don't seem to trust him even a little.
"Anyways, If your interested, Come by." Caine said, As he handed the golden haired boy his gym card, As he left and drove off.
The boy looks at the card that Caine gave, and back to him driving way with his car.
Back at the gym.
Jason and the assistant coach were doing Mitt Training, As Caine walks in to the gym, The Assistant coach and Jason stopped with their training, As the assistant coach spoke up. "Hey, You're back." Caine nodded,
As he just went to his office. The Assistant Coach looked at Caine confused but shrugged and went back to the Mitt Training with Jason.
At Caine's Office.
He couldn't get his mind off the boy, As he wanted the boy to be his fighter, to finally achieve his dream again, being a world champion, with the boy's help, He's excited if the boy want to join his gym, considering his offer, so he waited for few weeks but still no response for the boy, which makes a little abit Impatient, but one day.
In a middle of practice..
Caine was watching Jason spar once again, he was getting bit tired of Jason, as he set his new eyes on the kid, just then the door opened, and assistant approached the newcomer, "Welcome to Caine's Boxing Gym, Are you here to join?" Caine turn around and was surprised to see the golden haired boy finally responded to his offer, As Caine approached the boy with grin, "I didn't expect you to accept my offer." The boy looks at Caine and spoke, "This better be important." As he walked past Caine, Caine feeling abit annoyed of the boy's ignorance,
"Hey, Wait up." The boy stops and looks at Caine.
"You Know Boxing, Right? Or Have you ever have a experience of training?" He ask, But the boy shook his head, "I didn't have experience nor know what boxing is." Caine is a surprise to hear what the boy said, "You serious? But I just saw you throw that fast hook?!" Caine looks surprised hearing that the boy doesn't have any experience at all, but managed to throw a perfect punch, He thought the boy was trained, The Assistant coach just look at Caine and The boy with surprised look. But Jason on the other hand, doesn't look that too interested as he walk over to the boy,
"You don't know boxing huh? Then what are you doing here." Jason ask, as the boy respond, "Well, You're Coach here, give me a card, I thought of trying it." Jason frowns, he wants a more specific answer, He put his hand on the boy's shoulder, "Listen here, Kid, I'm telling you boxing is a tough sport, you sure you could handle it." But instead of answering his questions, the boy push Jason's hand away from his shoulder. And glared at him, "Don't touch me with those sweaty gloves.."
Hearing this, Jason gets a bit offended on what he said, "The hell did you say?! You punk, Do you know who you're talking to." Jason clench his fist as he wanted to punch the kid in the face, Luckily the assistant coach managed to break them off. "Well hold on now, let's not escalate further." Jason scoffed as he stared down at the boy, As the boy stared back, not willing to lose. Caine standing there as he watch, forms a smirk on lips, "Why don't you two take this into the ring huh?" He said, As the assistant coach look at him with surprised, like he's not his head, The Assistant coach tried to spoke up but Jason cut him off, "Fine by me, I'll teach this punk a lesson!" He smuggled pandas he clenched his fist showing his veins in his forearm, the golden haired boy don't seem to be fazed at all, and silently accept the challenge.
