Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Infodump?

"Ehhh, so the name of the kingdom I'm currently in is Landan—why does that sound like a knock-off of London? Whatever."

I decided to step into my father's reading room to dig into the details of this new stage I've been thrown into.

There were a few books that caught my attention: Cosmo-oligy and Seven Magic Craft. I had no idea why my dad had these books lying around. He's not exactly the warrior type. For now, I'll just assume Entity X left them here for me. Convenient.

In Cosmo-oligy, it says:

> "The universe is divided into thousands—no, even uncountable—worlds, growing along with the flow of human destiny. Every action taken by a human spawns a new world, and each of these worlds has its own outer space, known as a 'world bubble.' Each world bubble revolves around an unknown axis."

Hmm. So maybe... there's a version of me somewhere who didn't choose the shadow route?

"Some parts of Cosmo-oligy go way too deep, especially the stuff about gods. And no known author? Suspicious. Weird book."

I decided to close it and save the rest for later. I mean, it's not time to fight god yet. I've still got plenty of tropes to try out first.

Now, Seven Magic Craft. Euhhh. The core idea is basically manipulating the flow of plurei—or mana, in Earth terms—and shaping it into stuff using that bent plurei. Sounds simple, but it's actually kinda tricky unless you've got a solid grasp of your own plurei limits.

Me? Pfft. Don't make me laugh.

Right, back to Cosmo-oligy, page 50, paragraphs 2 and 3:

> "Every bubble is protected by an astral wall. However, if a bubble's destiny becomes unstable, it will be consumed by the light emitted from the unknown axis, turning into a demon realm inhabited by the worst aspects of humanity from that bubble. This collapse also destroys the astral seal, allowing the plurei—the light from the axis—to leak out, causing every creature in that corrupted bubble to manifest bizarre phenomena (magic), without knowing what they're doing."

> "In this foam-like sea of bubbles, collisions are inevitable. When a corrupted bubble crashes into a healthy one, the two merge, confusing the axis's laws. This confusion weakens the astral seal of the healthy bubble, allowing corrupted beings to cross over and stir chaos. However, because the core laws can't quite identify this fusion phenomenon, the invaders won't be as feral as before. Some may even regain physical forms before transforming into monsters. These beings, born from such collisions, are called 'demon-possessed,' where human consciousness becomes blurred, and the savage side takes control."

"Eughh… the more I think about it, this really is just a glorified infodump, huh?"

"Anyway, the point is—I'm strong because my plurei was stacked from the start."

I put that dumb book back on the shelf.
