Chapter 11 - Blessed Child

Ethan pov

The novel he once read centered around a commoner girl named Julie, who awakened a top-tier light affinity. She was hailed as the blessed child of a thousand-year-old prophecy, enrolled in a magic academy for nobles, and went on to slap countless noble faces while collecting love interests like trophies.

If you ask Ethan, in fact the novel itself is all about the common route where a commoner child counterattack but one thing he just can't understand is that the heroin protogonist halo can make someone even powerful than her fall in love with her without logic from the elf king to the mermaids king to even the light god himself that he find it ridiculous.

'I thought you figured it out?'

'How will I know? I just read it to pass the time, who would have thought that I would pass through!!'

Ethan really couldn't be blamed after all.

No one will have a single idea that they will pass through, especially when they read the novel just to pass the time; he didn't even finish it.

'If this is the novel that I read, does that mean the threat that can destroy the world is related to the demon and evil spirit?'

'Well, they're related but not the real cause'

'Don't beat around the bush and tell me the cause!'

'It's the heroine, an unknown soul is possessing its body alongside something called a system that helps her make all the opposite sex fall in love with her.'

'So this is the reason why they fall in love so quickly with the heroin, but what's the problem with that?'

'every world has a child of luck some have one while the other has a dozen It just happened that I'm the latter, the luck is divided into different person and race like your human emperor, they have luck as the leader of you human, correspondingly of course they have responsibility to bear with that power your emperor have to lead your human race but if your human emperor isn't responsible enough it my cause their luck to fall until it turns into ordinary or worse even below ordinary'

'Yeah, okay, I get that, so what's the relation between luck and the heroine being a freaking being that caused the world destruction!!'

'Be patient, I'm getting on it, you see every world has balance, and this unknown creature with a system broke that balance, and if the world goes out of balance, you understand.'

Ethan takes a sharp breath as he stares at the heroine Julie sharply, now knowing that the seemingly innocent face holds a creature who knows how long life and who knows how many worlds have been destroyed.

"I won't let you run rampant," Ethan muttered as he stared at her, waiting for the announcement of her magic affinity.

The pope stood in front of the crystal ball, still calm, still compassionate, as he stared at the approaching child.

"A commoner"

"I don't understand why they still allow commoners to take the test."

"I know, right?"

Noble-born children whispered among themselves as Julie, the commoner girl, was called forward.

"You can place your hands in the crystal ball, my child," Said the pope as he gave her a gentle smile, which Julie responded to with an innocent smile as she placed her hands on the globe.

Ethan's eyes narrow as he senses the particles like all the other children who awaken their affinity, in which he learns the magic element to gather in the globe.

Blinding, radiant light surged from the orb as every nearby light element answered her call.

"A light element!!"

"How can this be!"

Said some nobles who couldn't believe the results of the crystal ball as they cried out. The pope's always gentle appearance revealed a crack expression showing surprise at that, while the queen and king looked at each other in surprise.

"Top-tier light affinity"

Announced the pope as Ethan heard Stella gasp, glancing at her, Ethan looked at Stella in concern, unlike the reaction a normal person should have.

Stella turned pale the moment she heard of that name, Julie, the one and only God's favorite, the one whom the elf king's beloved and even other powerful beings fall for.

It's her, Stella thought, her body tensing. It's her.

Snapping back to her senses as she heard Ethan call her in concern.

"I'm okay," Stella responded as she gave him a wary smile before shifting her eyes to focus on Julie.

Ethan frowned at that but didn't bother to insist on asking before also shifting his gaze back.

The announcer opened the rolled-up paper in his hands to call the next person who would awaken.

"Ethan Louis amethyst!"
