Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Beyond Human!

Seth entered his room, Granny Chizu wrapped the cookies in a little plastic bag, which he promptly stored in his inventory.

Getting off his clothes he entered his inventory and got on his tracksuit and leather armour it was beaten up

He entered the Puppet dungeon and appeared inside the room where he defeated the Puppet Bruiser.

He then walked out the large in front of him and the words [The Courtyard!] appeared.

[You've left the tutorial zone! As such heartless encounters will now increase by 80%.]

[Around the area you'll find portals called dark spots, where heartless are located, to decrease the heartless's spawn rate you must enter the dark spots and defeat the waves of heartless inside. Inside you may find other goodies such as items and loot from Kingdom Hearts, maybe even more.]

"What? Aren't those dark spots just Dark corridors?" Seth looked at the pictures shown on the game and decided to continue on.

He saw a large mansion up ahead. It was pretty far though. Seth then walked through the courtyard until he entered a hedge maze.

Soon he came upon two puppets and immediately a group of basic Shadow heartless appeared, there were five of them.

[Puppet Archer.Lv13]

[Shadow.Lv12]

"I guess it's that increased spawn rate." I immediately placed my swords in the inventory.

I knew my Kingdom Heart lore. Only the keyblade can permanently take down the heartless.

So I summoned my Kingdom Key blue, and used to summon a few fireballs. But they came out much bigger than I expected.

"Whoa!" I shouted dismissing the fireballs. I guess that's the magic amp. I then heard the usual heartless skittering noise from Kingdom Hearts.

It seemed I attracted their attention with all the noise. They were rushing towards me so I summoned two fireballs and launched them at the puppet archers setting on fire.

I defended an attack from a heartless which sent it flying, I then used my [Slash] skill and sliced through all the heartless, though it took simultaneous attacks.

I managed to get them all.

"Seems like I won't be able to rely on normal swords like I wanted to." I should probably try finding the dark corri- dark spot.

"Yeah let's do that!" I cheered.

[New Quest!

Find the Dark Spot! - The dark spot keeps spitting out the heartless. And you're tired of these goddamn heartless in this goddamn I.D!

Reward:15,000 Munny / Skill Book]

Seeing the quest Seth smiled brightly and began to traverse the hedge maze.

"Burn you bastards!" Shouted Seth as he burned every puppet he came across. And he'd use the slash kill to murder any puppet and heartless in his.

He found out if he took some sips of his potions it won't fully restore the amount it usually does, but it'll restore a lower amount.

By doing this he's able to constantly keep his Sp at full. He's not willing to use Hp and Mp potions with this.

His Hp keeps him breathing and his damage output is amazing with Mp, not only that but he also managed to raise [Slash] upto level 9 now it does over +15% damage.

Though navigating through the hedge maze he had to look out for the dark spot but he wasn't able to find anything but only a few chests which had some munny and other miscellaneous items inside of them.

Such as toilet paper, pencils and maybe a few potions though none of them were as good as the ones he received from the GM.

While walking he stopped as heard the sound of heartless, skittering about.

I turned a corner to see a group of four shadows and two emblem heartlesses a soldier and one red lantern looking that was floating in the air, I think it was called a red nocturne.

In the Kingdom hearts games, the heartless are divided into two groups. Pureblood and Emblem. Pureblood heartless are the original heartless, while the emblem ones are artificial, they were created by Ansem or rather Xehanort in the world of Radiant Garden.

The emblem heartlesses normally has a heart shaped emblem on them. Unlike purebloods, they are able to adapt to different worlds and take new forms and variants.

Which means I might run into a puppet theme heartless sooner or later.

Without further adieu he jumped out and fired two fireballs at the red nocturne and the soldier, the two of them are the strongest ones, so it'd be best for him to take them out first.

The fireballs made contact and exploded, killing the red nocturne and the soldier, from their disappearing bodies floated two pink hearts.

'Right, I almost forgot. Xehanort used the hearts of civilians from Radiant Garden to make emblem heartlesses.' Feeling kind of pissed, he sliced through all the shadows with ease.

Looking in front of an ominous looking portal, he used observe on it.

[Dark Spot Lv.10

Has heartless wave of over 5]

"Wait, am I going to have to fight waves of different heartless? Doesn't matter." He stepped in.

Darkness there was nothing but Darkness. Except for him. He could see his body very clearly.

Taking a step forward Seth looked around until his [Danger Sense] warned him of an attack which dodged.

It was a shadow, soon more heartless started appearing.

Three Red Nocturnes, one Large Body and Four Shadows. The Large looked like a giant man with a large spherical body. Its arms had two had a pair of broken handcuffs around it.

I used a Fireball to take it down. It's the heaviest damage dealer from what I saw in the games. And it's able to nullify any damage from the front.

I'm not good enough to get behind it so I'd rather use magic to deal with them.

I then dodged three fireballs. From the red nocturne by back flipping, my body's movement and coordination is way better than it used to be.

This is mostly due to my increased stats. I ran forward and used a [Slash] to slice through a shadow.

I dodged a strike from behind from another one using my off hand. I fired a fireball at it which swallowed its entire body.

I then dodged another torrent of flames from the red nocturnes. Using my keyblade I aim at the last two shadows and fire two fireballs ending them.

I then jumped up and finished the three floating lanterns.

[You've leveled up!]

Soon the next wave begun and with a large smile on my face, I ran towards them.

*Poof!* I flopped into my bed with a smile on my face.

"Man, that was so fun!" I said as I released a sigh.

"Though it sucks my armour is done for." I say as I look at its remains on the floor.

The dark spots aren't gonna be easy. It was tough as hell, I don't know how many times I almost died. I was able to heal up thanks to my food since I'm now out of potions.

Not only that I gained both the Heat and Cold Resistance skills thanks to being fired at by ice and fire magic.

I was so worn out that I decided to leave the I.D early.

I then took out my prize, skill book I won.

[Skill Book - Fira]

Wait Fira as in the Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts Fira? I then learned it.

[The skill Fira seems to be compatible with FireBall, would you like to meld skills?]

'Yes of course!'

[Fire and Fira have melded into - Firaga! - A more powerful control and fireball. Mp Cost: Varies]

Getting up I head for a shower. And taking off my shirt I looked at my body in the bathroom mirror. I was covered in cuts and bruises, it hurt but it was bearable.

Also my face. Did it improve again, does this mean the Charisma stat doesn't just increase my looks immediately, but works gradually?

[For a correct deduction you've gained +1 Wis]

With an eyebrow I then paid attention to the rest of my body and all I had to say was, I was fit with a fuckin eight pack! I was jacked. But it was hidden by my school uniform.

I love the gamer system.

"Oh yeah the average human has an average stat of ten, by my calculations an Olympic athlete would be 12 or thirteen and maybe a bodybuilder who solely focuses on strength could be fourteen and maybe a fifteen, if they're pushing it."

I calculated. To think I can probably bench press a car now. I should try that? I do have Empty I.D's right?

Oh well, time for a bath, after a good scrub, took a soak in the heated water and summoned my status.

Looking at my status my skill list looked like a total mess, especially with all the new skills I've gotten. I wonder if there's some way to get every skill organised somehow.

I looked around the screen and saw gear I mentally commanded it to open. Scrolling through it, I saw it allowed me to edit the skill list and many other features of the game.

Like how the windows looked, I changed it to be a picture of a deep space with stars, planets and galaxies floating about and for the writing to be in gold.

I then edited my skill list.

Looking over my stats and skills I was happy, I didn't have the time to check the new skills I gained mid fight.

I had to use Warriors Roar a lot, it now lowers the opponent's physical stats by 60% and raises my allies stats by 57%!

Shifting to a new screen I see that I gained a new perk.

[You've gained a new Perk! - Beyond Human Strength! - Your strength is now beyond that of most humans of this world, only hybrids and sacred gear holders are even able to reach such a level, as such your strength stat shall grow two times faster when doing physical training and you'll also get an extra +2 Str every ten levels!]

That's not a bad perk, though I wonder if I were to bring my other stats to 100, what would happen.

So I threw enough points for End and Dex to reach a hundred and I wasn't disappointed.

[You've gained a new Perk! - Beyond Human Endurance! - Your endurance stat is now beyond that of most humans of this world, only hybrids and sacred gear holders are even able to reach such a level, as such your endurance stat shall grow two times faster when doing physical training and you'll also get an extra +2 End every ten levels!]

[You've gained a new Perk! - Beyond Human Dexterity! - Your speed and body's flexibility is now beyond that of most humans of this world, only hybrids and sacred gear holders are even able to reach such a level, as such your strength stat shall grow two times faster when doing physical training and you'll also get an extra +2 Dex every ten levels!]

With a smile I added, twenty points each to my Int and Wis and then added another twenty points to my Luck and the rest to Charisma.
