Chapter Five: Moonlight Between My Thighs

POV: Aria (Selene Reborn)

I woke on silken sheets, sticky with sweat and moonlight.

The scent of him lingered on my thighs salt, iron, and want.

Lucian was gone.

But he had left me marked. Not just the bite on my chest still tender, still glowing faintly under my skin but the ache between my legs, the bruises on my hips, the knowledge that he had touched me like I was his salvation and damnation in one body.

I should've felt shame.

Instead, I smiled.

It was a wicked, private smile the kind a goddess wears when her trap has sprung and the god never saw it coming.

I sat up slowly, stretching, naked under silver light pouring through the chamber's skylight. The moon was still high, still full, still calling to me like it knew my true name.

Selene.

Her name.

My name.

My thighs clenched instinctively. The heat hadn't faded. If anything, it had worsened. The Alpha's bite had stirred something primal inside me something feral and sacred.

And hungry.

I slipped from the bed and padded barefoot to the balcony.

Below, the pack was silent. No patrols. No howls. Just the stillness of a land holding its breath.

The forest trembled with moonlight.

And so did I.

I placed a hand between my legs.

Wet. Swollen. Wanting.

The memory of Lucian's tongue was still fresh. But it wasn't just the memory it was the mark. His bite pulsed in time with my heartbeat, and the closer I touched it, the more my body responded, like his magic had embedded itself inside me.

It was a tether.

And I was yanked toward it, trembling.

I fell to my knees before the moonlight, thighs spread, fingers trembling as they slid over my slick folds. One touch and I gasped my back arching, my magic crackling across the stones.

I wasn't just pleasuring myself.

I was summoning something.

The magic inside me uncoiled like a snake.

Every breath I took was threaded with moonlight, every moan a prayer in a forgotten language. My fingers found my clit, rubbing slow, teasing circles, and the air thickened with heat and silver fire.

The mark burned brighter.

So did my sex.

My orgasm came like a wave of light violent, beautiful, holy. My cry echoed through the skies, and silver mist poured from between my thighs like a blessing. The crescent on my chest gleamed like a brand, and for one moment I saw her.

Selene.

She was standing over me, bathed in starlight, her eyes identical to mine. A mirror of pain and power. Her lips didn't move, but I heard her voice inside me like thunder.

"He will break you. And you will rise."

Then she was gone.

The air stilled.

The magic faded.

But my body still trembled.

I collapsed backward, panting, thighs still slick, chest glowing, and heart racing with a new truth:

Lucian hadn't just bitten me.

He had awakened me.

And now, the moon didn't just shine above me it lived inside me.

A knock.

Three sharp raps at the chamber door.

I bolted upright, still naked, still glowing.

"Aria?" Cain's voice. Low. Disbelieving.

Shit.

I grabbed the sheets, wrapped them around my body, and opened the door just enough to meet his eyes.

He stared.

His nostrils flared.

"By the gods…" he whispered. "You reek of moonlight."

"What do you want?" I snapped.

He blinked. Cleared his throat. "The Alpha commands your presence. In the shrine. Now."

I scowled. "Is he summoning all the women he fucks to altars afterward?"

Cain looked shaken. "You don't understand. The moon it changed direction. The shadows are moving wrong. The wolves are restless. Lucian thinks it has something to do with you."

Of course he does.

Because I had changed something.

And now, the entire realm would feel it.

The Shrine of Tithos

The shrine was carved into the mountain itself a sacred place where warriors made blood offerings to the wolf god before going to war. I could smell the dried sacrifices in the stone old blood, bone ash, burnt fur.

Lucian stood at the center.

He was no longer shirtless but his presence was no less savage.

He didn't look at me as I entered. Just gestured to the floor in front of him.

"Kneel."

I didn't move.

He turned, finally eyes dark, face unreadable. "You radiated magic last night."

"I came."

He blinked.

I stepped forward, slowly, shedding the cloak I'd draped over myself.

"I masturbated under the moonlight," I whispered. "Touched myself where you touched me. And the moon answered. My thighs glowed. My power surged. Did you feel it, Alpha?"

His jaw clenched. His body twitched.

I dropped to my knees in front of him.

"Do you want to taste it again?" I whispered, voice like poison and silk. "The moonlight between my thighs?"

Lucian growled and grabbed my hair.

"Careful, little wolf. Power makes you reckless."

I licked my lips. "And you like it."

He stared at me. Long. Hard. Furious.

Then without warning he dropped to his knees, took my face in his hands, and kissed me like he was trying to consume me.

Tongue. Teeth. Heat.

When he pulled back, his eyes had changed.

No longer red.

Now they were silver.

"Who are you?" he whispered again, softer this time. Almost afraid.

I touched his chest.

"The moon knows me."

And soon you will too.
